  1. Jeff should be the one who stays. It's his kid, not Jenni's, Megan's, or Cat's. I wouldn't expect to be changing diapers unless my job title were nanny.
  2. A 12-year-old boy declaring his love for someone?!! Kids today are obviously more advanced than I was. Maybe being able to do it by text helps. Does anyone know what Angela's oldest daughter said to her at the very end that made her reply something like, "At least there's that"? I have trouble understanding the accents sometimes on this show.
  3. I love how they're including cute shots of the pets; like when the dog barked annoyedly and the cat was intimidated enough to jump back but not to leave. Taylor probably got a few shots on target in that email. And rating a supervisor sounds like something I'd do, so Lord knows I can't fault him for that. But the response to the firing was unprofessional. Since we don't see all his interactions I'm not ready to make a determination like this yet, but it could be that Jeff is like those mothers who love to buy all the cute clothes for the baby and all the trappings, but then hand them off to nannies to raise, ship them off to boarding school, etc.; like having fun playing dress-up with a doll, but then getting bored and moving on to the next toy. I also think this focus on things at a shallow level is why he's so quick to take his ball and go home when he's not getting his way creatively; if he's only focused on the surface it's easy to detach. There's no way those two have a healthy relationship when, as Gage says, he's suppressing feelings of rage on a regular basis. I only hope that when that rage does get released, as all things must, it's channeled toward Jeff instead of to inappropriate targets. Gage seems very tender with Monroe, but I do worry about a child growing up in an atmosphere of suppressed rage. You shouldn't feel more comfortable telling things to a TV interviewer than you do to the person you're supposed to love.
  4. I meant a camera cut, if that wasn't clear. (Not sure if you thought I was talking about a physical cut or not.) I rewound to see if he had a chance to put drops in his eye or something, but it looked like an unbroken take. Maybe he was crying because he was like, "Shit, now that Claire's leaving maybe they're going to write me off the show." Maybe he was all Joey Tribbiani trying not to step into the elevator shaft.
  5. It provides me joy! As far as I'm concerned, she's blabbed to too many people already. If everybody knows her age the conceit gets ruined, and the show becomes pointless. To me the only time she should be coming clean is when they know for sure they're at the end of the series. And then everybody can get killed off by a giant falling beam. I'd take Josh if he lost the tats. I can't believe it's the end of the season already!
  6. How did Nico get that tear to fall from his eye?! There wasn't even a cut! I rewound to check that out. That's acting! I wonder who Richard was planning on paying for that apartment? Does he pay Diana rent? But I guess if he gets paid as much as his ex-wife does that he makes a ton more than Diana.
  7. Love, love, love the architecture and landscapes in this show. So different from shows like the OC. (Where even Heather with all her pomp was staring into her neighbor's window -- but I guess land isn't as much of a premium where these women live.) Even a lot of the houses Jeff Lewis works on on Flipping Out feel cramped to me compared to these. I guess a lot of areas in SoCal are just too tightly packed for me, no matter how vaunted they are. Love Michelle's minimalist fireplace room with the swing in front. It does make me uncomfortable when Housewives are pawing all over strange men who may well be married or in relationships and not want other women all over them. Louise's face did look really young in that restaurant scene with Angela, but maybe a hair makeover would help her a bit in her search for roles? She was worried about making over Anne's skin color a couple episodes ago but that was something I'd never even noticed. We all have our different points of focus.
  8. Up until fairly recently, Diana has treated Liza like crap. Why should Liza respect her? I mean, we've seen her slowly melt over the seasons to reveal the goodness inside, but if I were Liza I wouldn't be forgetting all the times I'd been barked at like a dog from across the office to get coffee, answer the phone, deliver a package, whatever. In fact, I think one of the first times I realized Diana even assigned any value to her was when she said, "It should have been [Whoever the other assistant was]!" after Liza's bike accident. I loved that line, and I think that's when I started liking Diana, if I'm remembering correctly.
  9. Thanks for the info! I was also thinking that Josh might be able to offer her a job too.
  10. I just discovered this show through on-demand binge watching a couple months ago, and I guess I'm one of the few who think Liza and Josh are clearly meant to be. Actually, until I started reading this forum and saw that most people seemed to consider Liza and Charles the given, it never even occurred to me that the show was trying to portray anything other than Liza and Josh as the eventual couple. In fact, I've never understood exactly why Liza inspires so much passion in Josh, but I guess seeing the way he is with Claire just shows he's a passionate guy. I mean, not that there's anything wrong with Liza, but she does seem to knock a lot of men off their feet. Am I the only one still tortured by the lack of closure over Josh's roommate's disappearance? I mean, just give us a throwaway line or something: "You know, Kelsey, it's so nice not to have whippet remains in the fridge all the time, so it really turned out for the best that [Insert name I've forgotten here] moved on up to the East Side, to that deluxe apartment in the sky-yy/developed that raging tattoo ink allergy/died in that horrific bong accident." I love all the twists and turns of this show. I don't find them soap opera-ish (or that predictable, for the most part); I think they're handled very deftly -- with sophistication, not cheese. It keeps me guessing, like a good mystery. And even the boss, now that she's shown her non-bitch side, has grown on me. For the first season or two I just couldn't help thinking how perfect the woman who played Karen on Will and Grace would have been for that role. But now I do appreciate her treatment and like her subtlety. Very funny this episode when she said she considered herself a mentor and Liza was like, "Tooo?" [Ironically, I wrote this paragraph before I went back and read some recent comments criticizing this very line, so I guess senses of humor differ. I've never heard of Miriam Shor, so to me she's a perfectly legitimate target for comedy, but in checking out old threads I see frequent comments that "this is Miriam Shor!" so I guess she's well-known by others.] It's interesting to read people's predictions about Claire. I was thinking Josh might ask Liza to offer her a job, but I guess they'd have to prove the job couldn't be done by an American? Is that how it goes? I assume that's why the bar can't get her a visa? Personally, putting out an adult's cigarette reads like controlling bitch to me -- not sexy -- but to each her own. Lauren does still have her parents, so losing her job doesn't need to affect her living situation. Love this site, so thanks, people at Previously TV!
