Never never in a million years will she ever make TC. If she does audition (I have my doubts) she’s either doing it for the reality TV exposure or she’s delusional. No shame in using it for exposure. If she wanted to get in, she wouldn’t be posting what she’s posting. Medical schools in Mexico are notorious for being easy to get in to. She probably had no doubts she would get in, and she already has a job lined up (I’m guessing) so she doesn’t have to worry about the abysmal placement rates of schools like that. I am guessing she will be the kind of doctor that puts in fillers and does laser treatments, not the kind that does surgery. Kelsey isn’t confirmed, but I’m pretty sure you aren’t traveling to the Maldives and eating coconut curry 4 weeks before auditions. You are dancing and eating salad and spinach. I also have some doubts about Maddie. She’s also traveling a lot. but she’s pretty talented, so maybe she can just waltz in??

Totally agree, as soon as I saw her I thought she needed to have dark hair. Does anyone follow Kelly P on IG? She’s putting all the effort in, but I feel like DCC is a lifestyle, not something you can gain in 2-a-days a few months before auditions. Either you are in full makeup 24/7, tan and hot and love Jesus, or you aren’t.

I’m glad we are still talking about VK here, because damn, she just looks so extra here. She’s cute, but simmer down now. Also, she’s just not genetically blessed to be super thin.

Was just coming to post this vid, Victoria looks rediculous, out of control, side rolls, can’t say in line, kicking people in the head. Sometimes I’m like YEAH and most times I’m like NO. She needs at least another year. I also thought the girl in black was Brianna, was impressed. Am still impressed, but sounds like I was wrong about who it is :-)

I added this chick to IG a few weeks ago, and here is no possible way she’s getting on this team. I doubt she’s even actually trying out, she auditioned for something in LA last week and was probably in training for that. She’s way too out there for K, J and especially C to consider.

Is ther any speculation out there on vets that aren’t retuning? Kelsey has been all over IG, but not a single dance class posted about. Make sure me suspicious. Brennan.... poor Brennan. I hate seeing her next to Lauren since everyone looks terrible compared to Lauren, who is obviously the cutest person to ever walk the earth. And Victoria has side rolls. She might went grandfathered in, but she’s thirsty-looking and chubby. I haven’t gotten a chance to see all the ladies in the list, but what I have seen, I’m not impressed.

Impossible. Shows take a minimum of 6 weeks to edit. Ideally 8 for an hour, but this one is pretty formulaic. 6 is a baaaare minimum. Training camp is only 8 weeks.

This was probably Lexie. I had a similar WHO IS THIS?!! moment when they were in the cycling class a few episodes ago!!!

The reality is that even though we know who all 40 girls are, and want to see more of ALL of them, when making a TV show, you really have to focus on just a few. There are even a few in TC that I was like 'ummmm who the hell is that?!?!' (I'm looking at you Alexis AND Lexie, I just had to google to remember these girls names). The point story is an interesting one, and an easy one to tie through the whole season. There are ways to get a few more faces in the show without confusing everyone (at least "everyone" not on this forum!) but they obviously decided to try out an overarching thread this season. If you ask me, if you aren't able/willing to dish the dirt and make a "real" reality show (with all the good AND the bad) then they should skip trying to bring drama that ends up having no resolution.

can i take a moment on the 'yes ma'am' front to note how f-ing annoying it is that they say this every 25 seconds? I appreciate the yes ma'am no ma'am thing to some extent, but I feel like all these girls grew up watching this show and now it's gotten out of control. I seem to remember one season that a TCC got yelled at by Kelly for not JUST saying "yes ma'am" and instead gave excuses, but I think that was more like 'don't give excuses' not 'the only acceptable thing to come out of your mouth is 'yes ma'am''. I feel like it's morphed into every girl like a bobble head nodding saying it 20 times with each critique. Wouldn't just 'yes' or 'no' also be fine in some instances????

I work in reality TV and I have never seen a release that allows you to choose what portions you want in and which ones you don't. The Amazing Race definitely does not have a clause like this in their contracts, although it wouldn't surprise me if they allowed that in Canada. You are either signing up for the show, or you aren't, so any decisions to leave something out were made by either the producers or the DCC. Normally, the 'talent' (in this case DCC as an organization) would have no pull on the final show. However, Charlotte is, and always has been, listed as an Executive Producer, which means the deal they have with CMT allows the DCC an abnormal amount of editorial control. The Erica story was either not interesting enough to show or the DCC organization made the call not to use it and the Jenna/Holly situation they showed just enough to add some drama, but not enough to make them look bad. I bet the producers were pissed they couldn't add more of that situation in.

Totally exactly what I thought when I saw it. It was only a moment, but that looked like a cry of relief, not sadness.

I feel like Kelli pointing them out was basically like "bless your heart" Those better not have been expensive because they looked so cheap.

I love the IDEA of seeing them on an appearance, when they showed the woman that books appearances, I liked seeing a new face, hearing about how it can be hard to find enough girls last minute for an appearance, seeing them in their warmups and then get ready and perform. I did not care for this particular event, because it was BOOORING, Demi Lovato is boring, her dress was hideous, the little chat with her and the girls was canned and boring. I liked it way better when they went to the vet hospital and had real conversations with real people. I'm one that usually thinks that kind of "military porn" is the most disrespectful thing ever (taking photo ops with disabled vets to make your organization look good/relatable/real/patriotic, which is 100% all this is, is the Cowboys getting 'AMURRRICAN' points for talking to vets) but the ladies themselves really seemed moved, and it was nice to see them being genuine people. RAYLYNN, HONEY, NOoooo. Those hideous boots, her general 'golly gee im just so country' vibe. Barf. Kickline arms while cycling? Smile the whole time while you work out? I get why they would do this, it's kind of an interesting technique, but Christina (who I LOVE) looked like she wanted to stab someone. You can teach yourself to automatically smile while you dance, but your aren't teaching yourself to think about smiling, you are teaching yourself the muscle memory that when your feet move -this- direction, your face does -that-. Teaching spin 6 days a week doesn't mean you can just automatically smile while you do it if you haven't practiced it that way a few times. You'd look like a serial killer if you sat up there and DCC smiled the entire time you taught a spin class. Holly and Jenna thing was so sanitized that I can't even tell what really happened. I got the vibe that they went together, which might not have been a big deal except Holly joined a players table and made a spectacle of herself, while Jenna didn't (didn't join, or didn't act like a fool, hard to say which). I think Holly had a whole 'I'm not TECHNICALLY breaking the rule' spiel already worked out in her head, she started to use it, but she quickly realized she didn't know exactly what they knew, and her 'technical' breakdown of the events might have outed her in other ways. She aborted her plan in favor of the 'yes ma'am' method, which is really the only thing that works with those two anyway. Previews for this week indicate more developments on this in this weeks episode, but I am not optimistic we are getting any more actual details than what we got this week.

I have lots of thoughts on this episode, but want to catch up on the rest of the posts first, but for now.... the next time someone tells me 'this isn't a sorority, it's a job' I am going to point them right to season 12 episode 8. It SHOULD NOT MATTER how "nice" these women are to each other or how much they bond outside the dance studio/football field. Do you want people that work 100% or people that work 90% and then spend 10% of their energy learning everything about everyone else? Jesus. I just don't get it.

the show isn't about who did or didn't make show group, or (sadly, IMO) about the vets, it's about "making the team", and while diehards like us realize that everyone is trying to 'make the team' in the strictest sense of the phrase, the show is obviously 99% about the new TCC's (and vets that got "too fat"). So they talk about show group and they show a few who made it, but keyra being "robbed" isn't really a storyline they can or will focus on. Plus, talking about the inside drama of the squad is not what DCC as an organization wants to focus on. They could spend way longer showing the dancing for the showgroup tryouts, not sure why the decision behind that, to show many, many, minutes of the girls in the studio, but not show them really dancing for show group.

does kelly care about that? Because I don't know much about how they choose, but have seen Shelly post here that other than it being a dance formation, the 'point girl' thing is something that is a bit overblown on these boards and isn't as big of a deal in reality as we make it seem here.

peripheral vision and lots of practice so your body knows exactly what size steps to take to get there in the allotted time. You can see your feet even if your head is looking up. You also will occasionally glance down, but usually only when running between setups in the dances on the field - not so much on the entrance, that should be all peripheral vision. source: my 4 years of marching band. :-)

I hope it's soon. I get the love for kelli and judy, and I have no hate for them, but honestly they need to bring in someone young and fresh that gets that it doesn't all have to be long curled hair, overtan and white. I think a fresh set of eyes could bring a lot to this squad. The post schedule on this is super tight. We are in week 4 of training camp, which I would guess happened the week of July 3rd (the vet visit for july 4th makes a lot of sense, too). These take MINIMUM 10 weeks (better to have 12) to edit and post, so they are finishing and delivering these very close to air. Itunes outputs are a second round of mastering, and itunes is not the main ($$paying$$) client, so it's not a surprise they are behind and these are getting shoved down the line. I bet it will get later and later as the season goes on.

I didn't want to start anything by saying she has a 'new jersey look' but..... ;-) (i love you NJ!!!!!) But there is a marked difference in the southern look (soft hair, soft features, very feminine) and the upper east coast/NY look (often a little 'harder'/high fashion) . Not that one is more attractive than the other, I like the east coast look, they are just very different and this girl has that, plus is in the middle of the pack in attractiveness. There is only so much you can do to bring a girl from 'east coast medium' to 'southern pretty'.

There are tech specs you have to meet to be on itunes. for the video nerds..... yeah, this ^^ They barely even mention the vets in this show (oh, hey there, Chantal is still a DCC?? Wouldn't have known if I didn't see her in an IG video from last weekend).... so I bet they will say nothing about Erica and Holly, they just suddenly won't be there. I noticed in this weeks episode that Holly has a ton of KT tape on her leg.... unless something catastrophic happened WHILE the cameras were there (doubt it) I wouldn't be surprised if she's gone this week or next and no mention of it. This show is really about TCC's (although I WANT MORE ABOUT WHATS UP WITH THE VETS!!!!). ETA: ballroom girl is unattractive. Sorry. Not like hideous ugly or anything, but she is not up to the level of the jesus-loving southern ladies that DCC is looking for. There is nothing that DCC makeovers could do to help her, she has an 'east coast' look.
