She can’t even pay the accountant, let alone the detectives….

I didn't necessarily mean a financial deal (though as @chaifan pointed out, the business seems to have miraculous improved in the month to six weeks since Nash returned), but you'd think it would behoove Nash to keep the business running, too. Could he not make her a partner/ temporarily cede his business to her/ do something, legally speaking, to keep the Nash and Sons office running even though he can't head it? It just seemed weird/ a plot contrivance to let all that go when they were finally successful. (And I get that Nash was successful before Eliza and presumably figures he can be again after his legal troubles are over, but considering their newfound friendship, you'd think he'd want to help her out.)

  2. Is it sad that Clarence was my favorite character this season? I hope he comes back.

Not pleased about Phelps getting the job, but Fitzroy being confident with his father was all kinds of hot.

Could Eliza not come to some kind of deal with Nash to keep the office and employees under her name?

I assume next season (if there is one) will pick up after a time jump, and William will be back from New York and Nash will be out of jail...

I'm up through the one where burglars break in while Mike is home alone with the ghosts, and that was a tremendously fun caper from start to finish.  And it brought back the plague girl to my delight, as I love the way the other ghosts are freaked out by her.  I think it's my favorite thus far.

That's one of my favorites, too. The "2 of them" message that goes awry, the plague girl, the panicked call to Alison, and of course Robin saving the day.

  4. I'm not worried that the Duke is going anywhere, considering Stuart Martin is now listed as an executive producer of the show (as is Kate Phillips).

I am, however, concerned for Fitzroy-- he better not be going to New York!

I'm not sure Jessa and Ben -- or many of the other adults -- would notice if two out of a horde of rambunctious small kids just wandered off after they got everyone assembled.

I know we joke-- and rightly so-- about the Duggars' lackadaisical parenting skills, and I wouldn't expect others in the mob to notice an absence of kids who aren't theirs, but surely Jessa and Ben (and heck, even Spurgeon) should notice that half their kids are gone... All the family units are grouped; it's not like there's just a swarm of cousins being clumped together where it would be easy to escape.

    Maybe they were napping.

If you're taking a big family picture (I realize it's not the WHOLE Duggar clan, but it's probably the closest they'll get to everyone for a good while), wouldn't you want everyone there (as in, everyone on the vacation) to be in it? Seems odd to exclude only two grandkids out of everyone who's there. If they managed to gather forty-ish people for this picture, it seemed like it would have been a scheduled thing, and nap times could have been planned accordingly. Not to mention it's Jessa's middle two kids-- I think Henry has probably aged out of naps, and if Ivy was napping, shouldn't Fern have been, too? Also, Jessa doesn't seem to care much about her kids' sleep habits in general (letting them fall asleep wherever); I think she would have woken them up and dragged them out for a picture.

So... were they just not there? Wasn't this a JB-sponsored vacation, so cost wasn't a factor (all the other kids in attendance have all their kids there)? Were they left home (well, with Ben's family) due to illness? (In which case-- shouldn't Ben have stayed home with them, if Jessa really didn't want to miss out on the family time?) It just seems weird to have two grandkids missing from the horde. (And I am clearly over-analyzing this...)

That was CTM Barbara in Wonka, right? The red hair threw me off for a second, but the voice was the same!

I haven't seen the movie, but have seen the screenshots, and yes, that's Charlotte Ritchie.

    Sort of like: gSa

Considering many people associate GSA with "Gay/ Straight Alliance," I think Jessa and Ben would hate that even more than GAS(though perhaps aren't aware).

I don't think the Seewalds are much for monograms, anyhow. They have to have their capsule wardrobe that can be handed down to ten more siblings, if necessary, so no personalizations.

  9. Ha, I thought I was the only one aware of this little gem of a show (I'm the one who made the Primetimer nominations). I haven't seen season 2 yet (I don't have Passport... I'm hoping my PBS affiliate eventually airs it-- that's where I discovered the first season-- or that I can eventually purchase it on Google Play), but I'm glad that it's finally airing, and that it's been renewed for a third season.

Noel would be nice and it’s unisex.

Wasn't Noelle the middle name of Jeremiah's Christmas baby? Not that the Duggars are averse to repeating names/ using similar names, but I think Jessa will stick to the plant theme if it's a girl, and Noel doesn't seem to fit with her boy style, either. And I could see her disliking unisex-- gender needs to be immediately obvious!

BTW, is Fanny suppose to an inside joke for the show because she's such a proper lady? I know it's a real name (in the past anyway), but thought it's not a nice word in the UK nowadays.

Yes, it is meant to be a joke. The "Fanny's exposed" line, etc., etc.

(For those not in the know, while fanny is slang for "bottom" in the US, it's slang for "vagina" in the UK.)

Pat and Thomas' little radio thing in "The Grey Lady" was cute.

There is an adorable blooper from that scene where Mathew Baynton (Thomas) can't stop laughing. The Ghosts bloopers in general are hilarious; definitely worth watching on Youtube.

She looks so young and pretty without the Lady Button hair, makeup, and facial expression.

There is a podcast interview from one of the seasons where it was mentioned that someone on the crew thought the actress was really an old woman!

Are they working less hours because of the changes Dr. Cylon made (I don't remember her name)?

Pretty sure it was a schedule change by Dr. Cylon (lol) that was supposed to be an improvement, but isn't actually, as many bureaucratic decisions are.

The show will move to Fridays at 8pm starting January 19. The press release doesn't make it clear, but I think it's still the 3rd season, right?

I'm hoping we'll get season 4 right after we finish season 3... It would make sense, right? NBC needs programming now; that couldn't even be bothered to pick up season 3 until they were desperate due to the strike, and with the strike ending, it makes no sense to wait to air season 4 when they (presumably) will no longer be desperate. Makes sense to just air it through the Spring.

But then, I am not a TV exec, and plenty of things that make sense to me don't tend to be what actually happens. I'll be pissed if we never get season 4 in the US, though.

Sadly Joy has never seen that kind of parenting and who would she ask?  Jinger and Abbie are the only two I can think of who *might* be able to help her, but they each "only" have two children so she might not even think to ask them.

She seems close to Austin's family, and both his sisters have more than 3 kids. Of course the oldest sister wisely spaced them out, and maybe the other sister is just as exhausted as Joy (she had 4 in 5 years), but either one is probably a better example than Duggar parenting (since Duggar parenting is such a low bar).
