  1. The “electricity” effects did her NO favors either. ⚡️⚡️
  2. I saw my first episode of DCC on Logo - it aired after Rupaul’s Drag Race. I never understood how the show made it on to a network targeting LGBT audiences, until I watched a couple seasons and I realized it’s secretly a Gay man's dream show: the makeovers, the dancing, the drama! I don’t think they capitalize on that enough. And I say this as a Gay man who live in New York and has never stepped foot in Dallas, or EVER heard of the DCC prior to the show - but now I'm a superfan. Mind you I'm also a reformed ANTM addict, and there's seemingly a lot of crossover appeal there too.
  3. Posted too soon - someone already said the same thing above! Delete please! 😐
  4. I also think Maddie would love to be Pro Bowl girl, and if there’s no ProBowl, I could see her stay around one more year?
  5. If the groups above are correct, then Group 1 is seriously missing blondes - I’m guessing Amanda is in that group. Gotta have that hair diversity 😂
  6. “The pom got cut. But it wasn’t due to ruining Victoria’s routine. There were just stronger poms this year, and unfortunately Kelly and Judy had to make some difficult decisions.”
  7. Has any former DCC ever been cut but re-auditioned and made the team? (And no, I'm not counting Tina Kalina)
  8. Was training camp supposed to go longer but got cut short because of the positive test? and they decided to announce the team via Zoom early / make those Vet cuts all at the same time? It did seem weird that they announced the team midweek when I thought training camp had a number of days left. Or maybe I was confused?
  9. Savannah is a diversity hire - she has red hair!!!
  10. Sad that all the WOC TCC made the team but none of them made Showgroup.
  11. Brianna commented on both Brennan and Hannah’s Instagram. She don’t give a f***. Love her for that!!!
  12. I think we could have both. Keep all the new WOC (I’m thrilled to see this!) but replace Marissa and Alora Rose with Brennan and Hannah. Honestly I wasn’t even a Brennan fan until this all happened, but seeing the maturity the restraint in her Instagram post, now she’s a HERO!
  13. Even though they can't be on the field, I'm sure Kelli Judy and Charlotte will find a way to have the DCC presence as part of the games - maybe they dance on a Deck or in the Plaza and that footage gets spliced into the games. And I'll bet Kelli still has hopes for a possible Christmas Show at the Star because - by golly, the global pandemic will be gone by then and we can all huddle together at the Star and buy Cowboys Merchandise with all the money people are getting from their Unemployment checks! But if there are no cheerleaders on the field, then it means: No Field Entrance No groups / no need for quarter changes and group leaders No Thunderstruck No Triangle No Kickline No point!
  14. This is so true. I know this is going to be a strange year in terms of practices and training but I really hope Kelli and Judy change up the triangle and disregard last year's placements. I'd like to see the following further up in the triangle: Amber, Caroline, Ashlee, Rachel W, Hannah, Jalyn, Kelcey, Chandi, Alannah, Amanda and heck.. even Kat! I'd be fine for Tess, Lexie, Rachel A and Savannah got pushed into the middle... I dont mind Blenders, but we should just let them do that - blend in. I have no opinion on where Viktoria is placed - one part of me wants her hidden, and then other part wants her PROMINENTLY featured just so we can see everyone on this board go crazy!!!
  15. Since I don’t know these girls personally, and this forum is all about my favorite reality tv show, let me just say this: I hope VK and Lisa are the next Jenna/Holly dramatic situation. If they are both toxic, then let’s watch it spread through the upcoming seasons and see how that plays out! Good for morale? No. But good for TV? In the words of Sarah Pailin, “You betcha!”
  16. I know people are ragging on Kelli for taking chances on diamonds in the rough like Morgan and Breelan, but Savannah also wasn’t the strongest dancing during Training Camp and ended up being ROTY. Ashlee also seemed like she could have easily been cut because she didn’t have tons of dance experience, and now she’s a team favorite. I appreciate that Kelli takes chances on some less-than-stellar dancers and gives them a year to (hopefully) improve. But some girls just never improve, so it’s Sayonara in their Second Year.
  17. It’s also possible Kelli and Judi saw how talented the group of TCC are, and realized Meredith wasn’t in the Top 36/38. I know the idea was to keep the Veterans since training camp is so short and they have the experience, but maybe the writing was on the wall for Meredith. And she was never featured much on the DCC Instagram, so I always got the feeling she was never a favorite, and never brought much in terms of charisma or personality. That’s not a personal attack, just a casual observation. I’m sure she’s a nice girl, but at the end of the day it’s about picking the top 36-38 (*or your daughters or your best friend’s daughter.) Also, I’m really rooting for all the TCCOC (that’s a new term I made up meaning Training Candidates of Color): Armani, Darian, Sydney, Jada. Hoping they all make it, but we need to make room for them and maybe Meredith is the casualty. We have enough blender Blondes and Brunettes and not enough Black Girl Magic! ✨
  18. The “Bubble” they keep talking about doesn’t really make any sense. I would understand if they all quarantined for 14 days in the hotel before starting Training Camp and then lived in the so-called Bubble. But as someone mentioned above, Veterans joined one week after TCC and no one seemed to quarantine prior to entering. There seems to be tons of mixing between the 50 girls living in the bubble, plus Kelli, Judy, Kashara and (I am assuming) a small film crew. I’m sure they were tested before coming to training camp, but nothing is truly failsafe. I’m curious how they will explain this on the TV show. In terms of safety, it seems like the Bubble is more for show than actually for effectiveness. .. but as a MTT Superfan, I’m thrilled to see how this all plays out on tv. I need my show to return!!! It would normally be premiering around this time!
  19. you have to bring LOTS of outfit changes if the television show is going to feature you heavily!
  20. I think the commercial and advertising rights belong to Viacom, and the rebroadcast stuff, but I can’t imagine they are given access to the DCC completely for free?! but even if so, the TV show is such a big publicity blitz for the Cowboys Organization and the DCC. I personally didn’t know who the DCC were until I stumbled onto this show - and I know Kelli came from a marketing background, so it’s definitely working. In any case, I could still see them keep the team from a publicity/marketing perspective as I always got the sense that the NFL home games were only one small part of their duties.
  21. Is it possible that Making the Team makes enough money for the DCC organization, meaning it's worth putting together a team purely for the show? Even if the Cheerleaders can't perform at games, is it possible that they could still have a presence online, pre-games at Plazas, and as continued spokespeople for the organization? And for a future calendar, if we're able to travel in early 2021? Also, with no fans in the stadium to keep the TV games exciting, maybe it's possible they could do virtual performances that get incorporated into the TV broadcasts? I know the purpose of the DCC is to perform at the games, but maybe financially it still makes sense for them to create a team just for DCC: MTT
  22. VK WISHES. And Alyssa is a much better dancer - ha!
  23. Echoing this sentiment here. This could be a combination of both things you mentioned above: online auditions mean not having to take time off, and pay to travel/lodge to Dallas, which is an expensive luxury. And hopefully they are also expanding their ways to outreach and locate more girls of color as well. There have always been Star DCC who were girls of color (Nicole Hamilton, Whitney, Mia and my personal favorite Robin) but I’m hoping that things will open up even more with this crop of rookies. And for anyone who says “they shouldn’t pick girls based on color, they should pick the best dancers” let me just remind you about: Meredith, Breelan, Morgan, Kaitlyn, etc.
  24. Six pack Syd fan club over here! Even though I haven’t seen her dance, she was ProBowl for another team so she’s gotta be a great dancer. And she’s tagged in a video where she is teaching so hopefully she sticks around long enough to be a potential future leader. Although if you were Pro Bowl for another team, it would take a test of strength to keep biting your tongue and play the good rookie. Either way, she’s currently one of my favorites! (And yes, please let her keep the natural curls!)
