  1. That’s a good question, especially as that’s a comment used by the very people who hire the dancers! I would like to think the pro dance world is more inclusive like that but it’s not. I do think that when we comment on how someone isn't “uniform ready,” we are usually commenting on someone is smokin’ hot by old school standards but not quite…not QUITE DCC. And we know what that’s means whether we like it or not. We as fans of the show, ex-dancers, etc. have actually been molded by the very judges like those on DCC who have all created these gross, outdated or unrealistic standards. Not gonna lie, I love being a lowkey K&J when I watch the show or IG posts. I also get that our words may be toxic or triggering to those who shouldn’t be reading such commentary but do anyways. However, I guess you, me and we can try 🫣to move into the right cultural direction by critiquing on just their performance factor and dance technique and biting our tongue/not clicking submit when it comes to comments regarding face, physique, etc. I think if we can rein in political commentary re: the DCC as was done in 2017-2018 we can work on being more inclusive as well. Let the ugly commentary stay on FB. Thoughts? Great, A++ MATURE question😉
  2. Okay so Lily is now on the Denver Broncos cheer squad but their media people are pretty dang dumb. They gave her the handle of a prior DBC cheerleader Lily, so the whole account is a blend of posts from the old and new Lilys. They couldn’t even give her a separate IG account. I wonder if she’s noticed that yet….
  3. That’s how I took it—this is her life. Her entire life. She reauditioned after her crap first tryout. I get that that tryout was cringe af. But for her to say that…something is more demanding than her dance life and I can only see it as something family related. if it’s over locker room drama or weight, sometimes you need to check yaself before you wreck yaself on National tv. I wish we could let these young women grow up and learn. People do change and if she was so decrepit, I’m pretty sure there would be more leaks. My opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️
  4. Yes. Omg. How dreadful! Lollipop, weird rendition of a Four Tops song, whatever...thank you for finding it! This was I remembered hahaha, the horrible technique... she’d get smoked by dancers today. Oh, Sydney, smh.
  5. Not sure, but I for sure remember one of the saddest solos, and a VETERAN solos at that, featuring Sydney in some pink, Swiss Miss attire doing a sugary candy routine. Is my memory already going? Absolutely correct me if I am wrong! I ain’t wrong about her claiming to be natural blonde. That’s her words, bless her little Tangerine whatever salon heart.
  6. “Don’t do shit you can’t do. - K. Carter. I want that in some fancy font on a rich stain plaque 😂😂😂😂 For my office.
  7. I also thought the lollipop audition solo “natural blonde” Sydney had was childish, inappropriate for NFL pro dancer tryouts of any kind, and her sad fouettes took her from one end of the Floor to center stage and not intentionally. Holy lack of center, port de bras, core. Smh.
  8. She also mentioned that she has witnessed discussions at finals where there are finalists up for debate. The PTB let someone into TC believing those dancers who were weak in facials, entertainment factor, etc. could improve over time but that they actually get cut! I wonder if that explains some veteran cuts we didn’t understand from the past? Anyways..She emphasized to the auditioning dancers to make it pretty, really use hairography lol, and really project and be fun to watch. She had a good group of people for this, it was fun and educational for sure. If I auditioned, my kicks are pretty but my once fab battements have miserably dropped waist high at best at this age of 39 hahaha —-forget the dance (Awkward town!)
  9. I’m in NY so I felt that pain as well. She sent us all a recording of the Zoom meeting so we had the dance routine so I’ll just save it for workout purposes and attempting the kickline. Did you know they have to do the tryout kickline twice for right and left split within like mere eight counts?! I was like *any gif of anyone crying*. Imagine doing that after the tryout dance which you do like 3-4 times through.
  10. So I took Jenn’s prep class tonight for fun (yes, no video on my side, I’m just doing it for fitness and no one needs to watch me die by power pom). My Apple Watch says I burned 500 calories. We even did semis kickline. Holy cow....y’all. SO. HARD. BUT! It was so fun! She gave the dancers really great audition advice and helpful critiques. Like I said, I almost died in this class but she said her in person classes are harder. I used to dance for 20 years and I am totally totally blown away by the stamina to be a pro dancer. Holy cow. For those of you who are stir crazy, wanna do a little dance and pretend to be pro, definitely try a class! I’m going to have a glass of wine now.
  11. COSIGN! Like, you had a whollllllleeeee year to get that over split (I would want an oversplit as a judge haha) and imma need effortless Lacey/Holly P kicks. No Mackenzie (sorry!), no stories over mystery torn muscles, etc. you had time to get this. A year is plenty of time to do this, especially if you’re already a dang dancer!!
  12. When CMT MTT spotlights TCC auditioners, how many do you think will *woman crying gif* about the time they thought they/their cousin once removed had coronavirus but turns out it was just a bad flu and they then realized how truly short life is, it’s such a gift! And that they have a gift of dance and they will never take a single breath or experience for granted! *shows TCC auditioner pirouetting at SMU room or KCDF, pose!* I am stir crazy in NY working on taxes from home so let me be snarky, let me be...snarky. 😂😂😂
  13. Let us not forget the multiple WTFs that came out of her mouth and caught by CMT cameras. Although, had I been a TCC, I would have been caught as many times 😂 I thought she was a good dancer, but to quote HRM of DCC, she ain’t “game” ready because this team is literally 50% talent and 51% the culture. No, I’m an accountant so I know the math is right 😜 If she were to come back, she better be prepared to talk her way into the team. Regarding people posting pre-audition videos, can we just help them and cut them now? Or encourage in a toxic way and watch the meltdown on CMT. I almost want to take some of the clunky no’s now and be like, girl. Look at this video of *your fave DCC*. Look at your video. No. NO. Take another year WITH classes. I know, I know...Why so salty, cappuccinagina 🤷🏻‍♀️
  14. She needs to keep her shoulders down. She’s nervous and a lot of dancers have to fight that when you’re putting all power into your legs and forgetting the port de bras/how you present/carry the bod. At least she can stay in her space. HATE when dancers invade other dancer’s real estate.
