Down over half a million viewers versus last year. That seems like a lot when you only had a little over 3M viewers to begin with. Maybe it's just me but.....HOW THE FUCK ARE THEY STAYING ON THE AIR????

So what was happening on Wednesday that made it the most watched day of the week, over a Friday and a Monday episode?

  2. Aw, I actually like Ellie and Nick together. I liked their conversations in this episode, I thought it showed a deepening connection between them and Ellie's not such a know-it-all. I get the feeling Gibbs thinks something is happening between them too, between him insisting they parent together to the way he watched them when they were taking the baby up to the house. I'm wondering if the mothership is gonna finally do office romance. It's so weird to me how they've avoided it on this show but embraced it on LA with Kenzie and Deeks.

I'm really liking Kasie and Palmer's friendship.

  3. As I watched last night, I realized this show might've been a better fit on ABC rather than CBS. So if CBS decides not to renew, I hope another studio picks it up. I'm thinking about either their Tuesday or Wednesday night comedy block, I think this show would fit in nicely. It would also be a nice callback to Sr's time on 'My Wife and Kids'. Make it so, ABC.

Interesting story about Joshua Morrow's agent/manager Marv Dauer and his involvement with Les Moonves at CBS.

I just read this yesterday. And now JM's new hustle makes perfect sense. I wonder if he knew he was gonna be outed this way in this article? I'm thinking maybe not because he didn't put out any kind of statement regarding the story. Is he the only YR actor to get a face-to-face with Les? If so, I'm thinking it's gonna be awkward in the makeup trailer....

  5. Didn't Raj say the wedding would be on Valentine's Day? So that's February sweeps, not the finale.

I am really enjoying Raj and Anu. It was surprising to me when he lost his voice but it did make perfect sense because of all the pressure he put on himself. And I liked Anu heading to the shower and saying "Let's see what happens" and then the "Raj! Get in the shower!" when he wasn't picking up what she was putting down, heh.

I wonder how my mom would feel if I changed her nickname from Ladybug to Old Lady Green Beans, because that will never not be funny. Imma have to see about that....??

We did.  We saw Tony, the Baltimore cop, and we even saw Gibbs hand him an application for NCIS.  TPTB took years to bring Tony to maturity as a person, and Gibbs tollerated that slowness.

Torres...is not an average citizen. IIRC he was deep undercover for almost a decade. and I don't get how that makes him more fun loving. To me, it would be as if he lost a decade of being a twenty something goofball because in that decade-ish he could never let his guard down.  What the writers aren't giving us is the story of him becoming a person with lowered walls around him.

We did have that episode but I was comparing 'early days' as what happened between 'Baltimore' and 'Yankee White'. We got the Gibbs/Tony 'meet cute' and Tony applying to be an agent, but no Tony as Probie as by the time Yankee White happened, they had been working together for a while.

I also didn't mind not seeing McGee trick or treating with the twins since they're what? Less than 2 years old, right? If they were older I wouldn't have minded seeing it but at this age, when they don't even know what Halloween is, I understand not showing that. A pic of the kids dressed up would have been nice but I also understand they would have had to pay the twin babies their fee for showing a picture of them.

  7. They definitely could have said something about contacting an on-call judge for a warrant, but I also don't want to hear that every episode as it becomes repetitious. Maybe every few episodes, and then we can just assume it happens always even though it's not stated in the dialogue.

I'm liking Gibbs and Torres developing relationship. It's like if we had gotten to see Gibbs and Tony in the early years of their team. I think Gibbs is seeing he has a lot more in common with Torres than Tony since they both have had more "gray area" events in their lives than I think Tony was shown to have had. That mirror line from Torres to Gibbs served to remind us that Torres is still new as he has no idea about the Shannon/Kelly story and also the similarities between the two men and Gibbs recognizing that.

I do like the chemistry between Bishop and Torres. She's portrayed as focused and kinda serious and Torres is more fun loving so it's a nice balance. I'd like to imagine the introspection currently afflicting him has to do with Bishop's influence and he's choosing to be more reflective of his life and choices now that he's back in society and not in deep cover. But I'm probably thinking about it way more than the writers lol.

Am I imagining it or are Torres and Bishop a couple?  There seems to have been some hints in the last couple of episodes.

I was wondering that too! Didn't Torres say something last week at the beginning of the episode about him being out of town, and so was Bishop, and she gave him a look like, 'Hush!' And then this episode he called her 'Babe'. I was honestly expecting, when he went to Gibbs' basement at the end, that Gibbs was going to ask Torres when he was gonna tell Gibbs about him and Bishop. I'm not opposed, they look very pretty together. I'm just surprised, after all the wishy washy crap with Tiva, that the mothership has decided to go there with these two.

Still enjoying Kacie a lot. I like how they're showing her learning the team and them learning her instead of just having her be perfect right from jump.

  9. I liked Cedric after the trust fall, when he's making Max hold him up. I feel like that might've been some improv on Ceddy's part, I approve.

I think the extra-ness in Max's character is pure Schmidt, it's just wrapped in a more 'glass half full' package, so I enjoy him in this lol.

Guess I'm in the minority here, but this episode was actually pretty good IMO.  I like Raj's fiance, she's got a real Mindy Kaling vibe going on.  Will probably fit in a lot better with the group than any of Raj's past GFs.  I hope they go the distance with the S/L.  Even Stuart's found love, heh.

And although it might not be an option in TBBT universe, those of us here IRL can actually purchase a working, road-worthy Batmobile replica if you have a couple of bucks lying around:

Nope, I liked it too. And I'm gonna disagree on some points others have made....I never ever thought we saw the end of Clingy, Kinda Creepy Amy. Did everyone forget her reaction last season when Penny finally admitted she was her best friend? She practically shoved Howard out of the window to get to Penny to hug her. I expect Amy to always have bordering on inappropriate feelings and reactions to Penny. She is the girl Amy always wished she was besties with, I don't think she is ever gonna completely stop being amazed at that and acting accordingly.

It's completely realistic to me that Penny and Leonard never discussed children. Yes, Leonard seemed happy when he thought she was about to tell him she was pregnant, but I felt that was more from the sheer surprise of it all. I have never felt like Leonard really cared one way or the other and much like Penny, I feel like he likes the life they have now. And Penny could very well change her mind, like Bernie did, and Leonard could change his. I don't see it as a dealbreaker for this relationship. I agree with Stuart's assessment back in the Raj's Murder Mystery episode when he was the victim, and talked about how Penny and Leonard helped each other. Because looking back, they're really the only couple who can say that. Bernie helped Howard not be such a weirdo, Amy has helped Sheldon so much socially, but what have Howard and Sheldon done to help them in return? In both these cases, it was the female half who had to help their partners grow. Like Stuart said, with Penny and Leonard, that growth was mutual.

I was really surprised when Anu proposed. Instead of just letting him go and starting over, she showed she could adapt to things Raj needs. And I gotta say, he was super cute getting his own Sandra Bullock moment, I'm glad he was on the receiving end for a change.

Maybe I'm just getting nostalgic in my old age but I'm trying to treasure this last season we have with this group of characters who have brought me so much laughter. I'm definitely gonna miss them all.

  11. Now that Kaley Cuoco is voicing Harley Quinn in the new animated series, would it be too meta if Penny ended up landing that job in the BBT universe? Ion care, I think that would be kinda awesome, the pretty girl who moved in across the hall from 2 nerds ends up voicing an iconic character from their beloved comic books. I like it.

The girl who plays Claire had a starring role on the show “Greek” which was on ABC Family years ago. She is also the daughter of Shadoe Stevens, who was a radio host and tv personality from the 80’s or somewhere thereabouts.

Wow, I haven't heard the name Shadoe Stevens in AGES. I also did not know he married a Black woman, she is gorgeous. And hehe, I saw a pic of them from back in the 90s I think, and as a female myself, dayum hunni she was rockin those tatas, I am not mad!

I did enjoy it for what it is, a nice family comedy. And I do love that they embrace their goofiness as a couple, they are really cute together. As y'all have already said, Jr has great timing and Amber Stevens is doing very well opposite him. I'm actually really interested in them as a couple more than the pop star kid's story so I hope they keep them closer to the forefront story wise.

  13. Even though I have this episode saved on my DVR and have watched it multiple times since it aired (Don't judge me!!) I watched again last night and laughed and smiled just as much as every other time I've watched it (again, DON'T JUDGE ME!!). From Penny's superhero analogy regarding the planning, to "I love you so damn much!", to Howard's "I'm gonna need a minute" freakout to Penny's "I'm PUMPED!" and on to the vows, it's just an all around excellent 30 minutes of television. And now I'm both excited and sad for Monday's final season premiere.

    I'm not crying, you're crying! ??

  14. I want to meet Leonard's siblings. And I want their personal lives to be absolutely terrible. After all these years of Beverly touting their professional accomplishments over Leonard, I'd like for him to finally believe he is just as successful as they are, but in a much better way - a close group of friends and a wife that loves him.

I'd also like to see Meemaw again but I'm not sure about June Squibb. I think I'd take Annie Potts in old age makeup.

Oh and also? Raj & the dark haired vet who saved Cinnamon for the win, yo.

No, it’s all outside the house — Scraggy, Les and Julie, and Hurricane Florence.

I feel bad.  I previously posted concerns about Sam’s home in Virginia. I guess I didn’t realize that both Tyler and Angela are both from South Carolina?

Oh wow, I wonder if BB will tell them anything? And....super creepy, with it being 9/11 tomorrow and they had to tell the HGs back then what happened.
