  1. I am actually enjoying Emily as Unit Chief. If anything, it's toned down her character from "super/can do anything" agent (same as JJ). Like her much better now. Funny how we all see these characters so differently. Why are people saying that MGG will miss several episodes in CM13? Has this been stated somewhere or are people assuming because it's happened in the past?
  2. I will say this: hopefully none of this results in anymore super JJ or wannabe genius Garcia as were a couple of seasons ago. I feel that we just got those characters back to their original personas. I can't take anymore writers' room worshiping of these characters. I actually liked both characters again this season.
  3. Thanks for the reply. I didn't think about the Q score when writing my questions. That makes sense. I am glad that the remaining originals will be back. The chemistry has always been the strongest amongst them as far as what comes across on screen, though I do like Luke and warming up to Tara.
  4. I have a question. Does anyone know how the salary negotiations work? Would KV and AJC be privy to what MGG makes or do they go on trust that they were making approximately the same with this new deal? I am glad that they are in line with male counterparts. But doesn't other things separate salaries including previous work and in the case of CM, would the fact that JM and MGG directing and KV writing put them at a higher salary than AJC anyway? Could another female come on board with less CM experience but heavier show biz credits and make more than PB, KV or AJC? Just curious as to how it works.
  5. Perfect review of the episode Reidfan! I have to admit that I had some sympathy for Cat because she does seem to want Reid's approval or at least understanding. I think she wants similar words that JJ said to Reid to reassure him that he is not a bad person at his core and she wants it to come from Reid. Actually a part of me hopes that we do eventually get to see that in an upcoming episode. Here's why . . . Cat did prove that Reid would indeed cross a line that he firmly stated he never would (remember he said that he was not the kind of man to kill or try to hurt her no matter what). He was wrong. He did have a point where he would break and if JJ had not been in the room, he may have been in prison all over again. Maybe, Cat wants him to understand that she needs never had the support system to help pull her back from that edge. I think on some level, given his reaction, he needs to come to that realization and tell her so. Though she doesn't know him like his team/friends, I think she knows him more than he is giving her credit for. At some point, he has got to go back to see her for an actual heart to heart.
  6. One other thing. To me this new team has never felt bonded as a whole until the moment they are watching Reid and his mother hug. They were finally on the same page as a new "unit or family" mentally and personally that I have not felt beforehand. Hope the bonding between the newer and older members continue. It's one more thing that added to my love of CM. Even when Reid was arrested in Mexico, Luke was the only one of the "newbies" who seemed to care on a truly personal level.
  7. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like the fantasy-reality back and forth. But in hindsight, it very much added to the tension between them. I do think on some level Cat wants him to be attracted to her as a way of validating herself. It's almost like she knows she went from normal to psychopath after dealing with anger and hate that she could not get passed . Maybe she thinks she couldn't be such a bad person if someone like Reid also succumbed to the same thing. She did not want him to leave. I think it was more than the obvious revenge/mind game reason. I also don't think she sees him as this sexual innocent to the point of thinking she would be the first to have him. I think she is simply playing off a sexual chemistry that she recognizes. I don't believe that deep down Reid doesn't feel it (sorry but I don't buy that he only had the choice to dance with her to say what he did at that time; just as he didn't have to share his mom's situation with her in Entropy; he could have given a lie but rather gave personal info and feelings not required). He just doesn't like what she is as a person. But I'm not sure if he doesn't see a vulnerability there either. Maybe I'm way off, but her tears at the end was for more than he won at her game again. Am I the only one who thinks this? I don't even see Reid as this innocent "kid" anymore no matter how many times everyone calls him that. We have seen him express interest and date (at least off screen). He could be doing anything with women. The thing about his character is that he tends to go very private even when it's a good situation (remember he didn't want his team/friends to even know Maeve existed). The writers could have him in a serious love affair at any given point and it would be plausible that such was happening right under everyone's nose. I love the complexity that really is there with Reid. I actually think Cat brings some of that out.
  8. Watched the episode again and still so many wow moments. This is CM as it should be. The answer is in figuring out the motivationsame and thinking of the unsubs. There was actual profiling and the need to rethink things based on new info. So hope they stick to this in season 13 and pull away from the violent scenes so much. It is not necessary for intensity when it comes to profiling. This episode and the first few seasons prove it.
  9. True. It was such a sweet moment when she told him to never leave her again. I wonder how they will deal with things next season in regards to her. I know that EM said a lot will be based on whether or not J. Lynch would be available. Just wondering if they will have him still trying to keep her with him.
  10. Can someone help me figure out the scene when Reid and Diana are reunited. When Reid stepped out of the elevator, I assume he didn't rush to her because he needed to assess her state of mind. He wanoted to approach her based on her perception at that moment. But what about Diana? Emily had to tell her it was Spencer. Did she not initially recognize him or what? I think Cat and Lindsee would have made more interesting season long unsubstantiated than Mr. Scratch. He is coming across now as some super villian in the comics
  11. Not that I want Reid punished for it, but I can understand his worry about poisoning the inmates. Distributing the drugs would have been doing what's necessary to stay alive. But the poisoning was really vindictive. I wonder if that will be addressed again.
  12. I would have voted for a Morgan/Reid scene rather than a Mr Scratch cliffhanger. Then from start to finish would have been perfect.
  13. Well, that too! That was an amazing scene. The director had to have loved how that scene turned out. MGG and Aubrey P. play "losing it" and "crazy" very well. They had better expand his role on the show. Otherwise such wasted talent.
  14. Good point that it was never addressed who was helping the guard get info about Reid. Do you all think that was intentional or sloppy
  15. So agree on this. I'm pretty sure they are really good friends in real life. So I wonder if that made filming the scene with her sitting on his lap and the dance scene easy or kind of awkward. Liked his chemistry with Beth R., but he has major chemistry with Aubrey P.
