  1. I got FJ.  Not confidently, but I got it.

I got the misssed clues of thistle, Dome of the Rock, and hourglass.

I got the entire categories of rock and weeds right.  And the entire category of TV wrong.

  2. FJ was an instaget and I never even saw the movie.

I got the missed clues of Mauna Kea (after Mauna Loa), blackout, skittish, basic, and Daisy Jones and the Six (but to be fair I also answered that for the question before and would have used it for any answer I didn't know int he category).

  3. I said 12 Angry Men, but have to admit i didn't think it was right.  Mostly because I assumed the play itself is way older than 2004 (I saw the original movie and I'm pretty sure it was in black and white) and didn't know if they were talking about a new play or a revival.

I got the missed clues of bass and June 25th.

I got the entire categories of kids lit and deep space right.

Given Amy's affinity for Little House, Laura could be a possibility. (And though it might take a long while, Amy would eventually coerce Sheldon into calling the kid Half Pint.)

Never happen. A kid has more than a half pint of blood and he wouldn't stand for the inaccuracy.

I have made my peace with the idea that the Cooper family we hear about on BBT is not the same Cooper family we see on Young Sheldon.  That said it's not, IMO, because Sheldon relayed things incorrectly - it's because the writers threw Sheldon from BBT under one helluva big bus so that they could tell the story the way they wanted to on Young Sheldon.  I don't blame them.  Well I do but I can understand why they did it.

I view Young Sheldon as a completely different show. I wished they had just left the scene with Blonde Mary out, because it was just ridiculous.  1. Sheldon is not an idiot.  2. if he actually thought his father was cheating, he would not have not confronted him.  He had to go spend the night at Tam's to keep a secret.  i realized that was like 3 years earlier, but still.  Adult Sheldon isn't great at secrets either.  3. They replay TBBT for hours at a time on TBS.  We're not going to forget the action figure story.

What I really wish is that they had really leaned into the Black Hole episode.  Adult Sheldon could have still married Amy, met Leonard, had mostly the same life. But, George didn't die and didn't cheat and didn't force Sheldon to watch football, and all the things that he said on TBBT.  Because, yes, this show really did throw Sheldon under the bus, making him either a liar, or someone who couldn't remember anything anywhere near accurately to save his life (which is a strange trait for someone who claims to have an eidetic memory.

But I also think we didn't see him moving in. Nobody arrives on campus in a different state with just a briefcase. We saw him packing a lot of stuff to bring with him. The campus shot was not his moving in scene.

Nobody in real life does.  It's amazing how often that happens on TV.  I commented on that in a different thread.  It's one thing I really appreciated about the Rory going to Yale episode.  She's the only person I've seen on TV who needed a truck to get all her stuff to school as opposed to just a small suitcase.

heldon protected himself with standing on the outside looking in, reading situations incorrectly and allowing his mother’s anger and his regrets to reframe his memories.

But writing his memoirs, with the distance of time added in, allowed his love for his father to break through the barriers that affected the stories we hear through TBBT.

Kind of weird that he made up a very specific lie about his dad's mistress trying to buy his love with an action figure, though.

Missy was right, Sheldon was wrong.  I also don't understand how pastor Jeff could go along with it.

Missy was right, and Pastor Jeff was wrong. Mary was wrong, but like I said, not evil. I don't know if I would go so far as to say Sheldon was wrong.  To him it was meaningless.  From his point of view, he was doing something nice for his mother.

That’s the thing.  Correct me if I’m wrong, but since Sheldon does not believe, and Mary knows that, she must know his soul is not going to be saved by a baptism, right?

No, but she's grieving and not thinking clearly.  In the voiceover, Sheldon said it had been 27 days.  That's less than a month. It's nothing.  Do I think she did the right thing trying to make them get baptized?  No.  But, do I understand that she was grasping at straws, grieving and not completely rational yet?  yes.

  11. I have no idea why Pastor Jeff would even consider baptizing Sheldon or Mary. They clearly were not professing their faith.

I thought it was a little (no a lot) weird that Connie told Mary she was still young and could find someone else even before the funeral. Too soon, Connie. Way too soon.

don’t blame George for getting a secret vasectomy. Before she finally came to her senses, Mary was clearly back on wanting another baby, and it wouldn’t have shocked me with all her “accident” talk if she was thinking about messing with her birth control. Just saying…

So, you don't blame George for a secret vasectomy, but you do blame Mary for secretly messing with her birth control (which she didn't actually do)?

  14. i got FJ.  Not right away, but in plenty of time.

i got the missed clues of Roland Garros, Mary Kay, Michelin and something I can't read for the lif eof me.  It looks like Denobley Searson.  Wich is obviously Desparately Seeking Susan.

i got the entire categories of pranks and book titles right.

  15. I said Esmerelda. Then I said Hunchback of Notre Dame wasn't a novella.  And that's as far as I got.

I got the missed clues of Aunt Polly, Aaliyah, Jim Morrison, Lindsay Lohan, Newfoundland, teeth, useless, Po, Pulitizer, and Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now.

I got the entire category of relative right.

Looks like  I had a good night. But looks can be deceiving.  My first round was OK.  After that, not so good.

  16. FJ was an instaget.

I got the missed clues of De Klerk (I didn't know his initials in time, but even though that was the category, nobody else was penalized for that), PT Barnum, Madam Secretary and Inspector Gadget.

  17. Yeah, the whole Patience thing was weird.  She was attracted by Flower's screaming. OK, I guess that makes sense.  Even though nobody else heard her screaming.  And she had to hear it through dirt. And I can accept that after a century wandering blindly around in the dirt, she's gone a bit crazy.  But, how did finding Flower in the well, suddenly enable her to find her way back into the basement?  And can she now find her way around perfectly?  Why else risk dragging Isaac in far enough for him to become lost?

  18. I got FJ.  I didn't think it could be that easy, though.

I got the missed clues of Lewis Carroll and hypocrites.

I got the entire categories of city views and the 1950s right.

I had a much better first round than second.  Much much better.
