  1. If I hear Peter Thomas' voice, I can lay down and fall asleep listening to his voice, even if I've "watched" the episode a hundred times - I've fallen asleep to his voice ever since it was on HLN and used to when it was on Court TV. This guy? Once I know what happens and I see it again, I'm bored and change channels. They chose one of the worst voices for Forensic Files.
  2. I was disappointed with the whole show. It felt like a regular ID show with nothing much about forensics, which is what made the classic show so good. I loved Peter saying all of those fancy words - nothing like this in this one. I wish they'd use the beginning and middle stuff for the Classic one - they were the best part of this and the only parts that seemed like Forensic Files. I'll watch it again next week and hope it's better. If not, I won't.
  3. I read a bunch of articles before watching the show and he said that these were the only things that they didn't keep accurate - I guess the network thought leaving viewers with that idea of Kenda might make them not want to watch the new show. He also said the episodes he wouldn't talk about were ones including children, so the commercials had me thinking the little boy would be alive, so I was REALLY shocked when he wasn't. But especially when he was dressed in pajamas that his son wore when he was that age, you can see why it continued to haunt him. I'm so glad that doing this show helped him with the PTSD - I hope it helps others who suffer from it to find someone/something that can help. I bought Kenda's book for my Nook and can't wait to get myself some more Kenda!
  4. Yes, it has a second season - but it's on Friday, the day shows go to die. It won't get a third.
  5. Saw this: There's also this: I won't post the entire listing - you can see it here: https://www.tvinsider.com/788903/san-diego-comic-con-2019-schedule-tv-panels-dates-list/ but I will tell you - the rip-off isn't part of it!!! IT'S ON ITS WAY OUT!!! I've seen some people thinking that if we're true Charmed fans, we should fight hard to keep the rip-off going because once it's gone, Charmed will be gone forever - it won't come back in any form. Guess what? As far as I'm concerned, that's just fine. Had the rip-off been a good show, a true reboot that had shown us how S4-8 should've been done, that would be totally different. But not this mess that's made a laughingstock out of my favorite show and is about everything EXCEPT three sisters who happened to be witches--just like S4-8, which I count as the alternate-universe spin-off that has nothing to do with Charmed except the name. The same is true for this rip-off that they DARED to call Charmed just in order to cash in on its name and fame and try to cash in on "MeToo". Now that you don't see that much about MeToo, they don't care about the series, so why should we? It's better if it just goes away and is forgotten, so when fans talk about "Charmed", they mean Classic Charmed only. I'm glad I've never wasted a second on this mess and that I've never called it "Charmed" since it does not deserve to have that name. To me, it will always be the rip-off since if it wasn't called "Charmed" it wouldn't have lasted a half-season. Now for those of you who truly enjoyed the show and didn't just watch it because they named it Charmed, my sympathies. For your sake I hope I'm wrong and the new showrunners will do a good job fixing it. But without the promo, it will be just like Classic Charmed 5-8 - cheaper sets; cheaper special effects, trying to use sex to sell the show, ending with a show that goes through show rot -a show that goes long beyond its time. I know I kept watching Classic Charmed in hopes I'd get to see the characters I loved in S1-3 and only did when I saw my Phoebs in "Show Ghouls". I hope rip-off fans won't have to go through that with their show.
  6. Have yet to watch a second of the reboot so all of my opinions come from others. But from what I can tell, the main difference between Classic Charmed and Rip-Off Charmed (I don't think it would've gotten a second season if it wasn't called Charmed...not with those ratings) is the three original Classic actresses truly felt like sisters who happened to be witches while these three are witches who happen to be related. This is also what I felt about the second set of Classic Charmed ones., except they were demon-hunters who happened to live in the same manor. Am I right about the Rip-Off Charmed Ones or am I off and if so, why or why not?
  7. Darn! It won't let me add my comment to the above quoted post. If S4 didn't include the Phoebe/Cole story, I'd love S1-4, too. As is, I can't enjoy a storyline that totally ruined my favorite sister, Phoebs, and turned her into my least-favorite one, PhoeME. As is, if I could just forget S4-8 and what it did to my other favorite couple, Piper & Leo, then I'd still love S2 & S3. As is, it's hard to re-watch S2 & S3, but S1, with a few exceptions (I don't like being scared), I could re-watch over and over and over again. I wonder if those watching the rip-off are feeling the same way about their S1 - could they re-watch it over and over and over? I haven't watched a second and have read nothing that makes me regret that choice. But then I haven't watched a single second of The CW since it became The CW - at age 65, just not my thing, the way S1-4 were the first time I watched them. After that, I kept watching just because it's what I did and because I hoped I'd get to see my Phoebs or my Piper and not Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper and PhoeME. Only in 'Show Ghouls' did I get to see my Phoebs, and once Prue died, I never saw my Piper or my Leo, my favorite male character in S1-3, except in 'Saving Private Leo'. How I wish Piper always saw Leo that way - but she didn't, not after she guilted him for saving her rather than Prue, the moment he changed from being their guide (which I loved) to being their magical doctor/taxicab (which I hated). All part of why I count S4-8 as the alternate-universe spin-off, "The Perils of Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper" aka "PhoeME and Her Fantasy Men" aka "Two Witches Plus One Living Whitelighter Equals The Power of Three?" where the only thing similar is the name of the show, since having saving innocents as their destiny and being sisters who happen to be witches became having vanquishing the Source and taking care of the Twice Blessed Brat who is more powerful than them as their destiny and being demon-hunters who happen to live in the same house, which is what it sounds like the rip-off is going to do next season. From what I've read, why do they keep rebooting the worst parts of Classic Charmed without fixing them, the only thing that could tempt me into watching it?
  8. Gotta admit when I'm wrong, and I guess I am. So my favorite Charmed writer, Sheryl J. Anderson, screwed the continuity up TWICE in 'That Seventies Episode' - both that and saying that Grams got Patty to keep her married name when according to the CREDITS in 'Thank You for Not Morphing" which makes it canon, Patty didn't become a Halliwell until she married Victor Halliwell, meaning Grams was never a Halliwell! The first jump to an alternate universe was in Season One! *shakes head* Discontinuity, your name is definitely Classic Charmed! (Having not watched a second of the rip-off, I have no idea if they've continued that trend.) But I've gotta say I prefer Sheryl's alternate universe over the one Kern gave us in S4-8.
  9. Mine: What do you guys think of that? Not sure why it decided to make the first part of this a spoiler. It truly isn't.
  10. They would GROW - not become other powers, especially not each getting an active, passive and defensive. Then why even have the Power of Three? Why not just have the Power of One with the others helping her? I think having all three having all three would've been horrible.
  11. Well, then she should've changed Melinda Warren's prophecy. That was that each sister would have one of her powers. That's what made them Charmed. There was never a need for different powers - especially each having one of those three. Then each would be a Power of One with no need of the others, and I would've gotten very bored very fast. What made the Charmed Ones special was the Power of Three, not the powers that each had. For one to have the active (Prue), one to have the defensive (Piper) and one to have the passive (Phoebe) made it perfect. As soon as Piper got an active one (exploding) while Paige's was also offensive (moving things with her mind whitelighter-style), there was truly no need for the Power of Three (especially when they hardly used Phoebe's power to see the future at all) and boring.
  12. Agree with levitation for Prue since her power is to move things with her mind and that would be moving herself with it. Disagree that empathy has anything to do with seeing the future (I didn't even like her being able to see the past, but then I also hated Piper being able to explode molecules when her power was to freeze time and had nothing to do with molecules.) If Phoebe had been able to send her astral projection forward so she could see what happened in the future for a longer time, that would've been the proper upgrade of her power. The upgrades should've just been in time and distance, not new powers that weren't necessary, especially Piper's. IMOHO hers was the worst.
  13. Definitely not true - or they wouldn't have used a picture of Tyler Layton. It was an Easter Egg.
