  1. That was quite an interesting expression on Lorca when observing Burnam's reaction to the appearance of Emperor Georgiou. I am not sure what to make of it, but it was a hmmmmmmmmmmm sort of moment. It looks like "Ash" will be full on Voq from here on in with his true inner Klingon having asserted itself. Also, I am going to have to rewatch that bit where Stamets appears to have met his "Mirror" counterpart. I did not catch the words that Mirror Stamets said to Prime Stamets. Would this mean that Mirror Stamets was already aware of Discovery's presence??...through some form of mental link?
  2. Wow... Just keeps getting better and BETTER! Off the charts fantastic! :D
  3. I have been going on about "Mirror Lorca" for ages in earlier threads, especially after the moment where Cornwell clearly does not recognize one of two distinct but very different scars on Lorca's back... remenber that? But I am going to add one more thought to this idea- Lorca is Mirror-Lorca, but from yet ANOTHER Universe altogether! (not the Terran one, but a third! and there are still many, many, many more) He knew enough about being able to cause the Discovery to switch realities, but this place is still not where he was attempting to get to. PS: These "Mirror Universe" storylines have never failed to deliver in various Trek series and I am luvvvvvin this new take on the idea. :)
  4. It is going to be very hard for Burnam to reconcile any of it once she learns the true nature of "Ash" really being Voq, a transformed Klingon. On top of EATING her Step-Step Mom, he has now also murdered Culbert.
  5. Another question now is.... How long will they remain in the Mirror Universe? Prior Mirror Trek plot lines have been 2 episodes at most. I am thinking that they will be here for a significant period of time and maybe even the entire remainder of Season 1. Another big one... Will Ash/Voq meet a Mirror Voq!? And I just wanted to say.... Lorca doing his Scottish bit was off the charts priceless! haha PS:.. Empress Cornwell? Empress Gergiou? Emperor Mudd? Emperor Stamets? Emperor "Blowed-Up Dead Admiral"? Who else?... I would like to see Cornwell, but then again, crazy "Gary Mitchell-eyed super strength" Stamets saying "the enemy is here!" and "stay out of the palace!" is sort of a big loud giveaway.
  6. OMG!!! That was just soooooooooooo damn good! wow. PS: Empress Cornwell... callin it! ;)
  7. I am not at all convinced that Lorca ever thought Stamets would be harmed in any way. I think he felt the jump would go just as smoothly as all the other prior ones. I am up for "Mirror" anything or "alternate reality"... but NOT time travel. (Prior Trek has beaten bumping through time to death already) I found it interesting during the reveal in the finale that Lorca had been attempting to plot all the areas which could in theory be mirror universes. They had shown Lorca plotting points on those VR maps in several other scenes in prior episodes and I took those to he him plotting out the course of the War and clashes with Klingons. However it turned out to be something else entirely. That was a telling moment when he confided all that to Stamets (who was impressed with Lorca's apparent comprehension of the possibilities) and it basically confirmed that something behindthe scenes is driving a lot of Lorca's big picture decision making. And Michael is obviously a very important part of whatever the heck is driving him. I guess we will have more of the blanks filled in....in 2 months!... pooooooh. ;)
  8. They can do whatever they want as long as we never again see a filler episode not connected to anything relevant in which the "plot" revolves around a mysterious sub-space anamoly that is resolved in the last two minutes with a tachyon pulse from the deflector dish. ;)
  9. I feel this article recapping STD so far is a very good read.... https://www.theverge.com/2017/11/15/16654636/star-trek-discovery-first-half-season-successful-characters-storytelling
  10. Yeah... good points. We are also now a century past Phlox and Enterprise and even then he could pretty much spot a fake anything a light year away!
  11. I am sure she will somehow be a recurring character in one form or another. I must confess that the guilty pleasure side of me would luv to see ship's hulls emblazoned with Globes pierced with Dagger emblems when they return! Maybe there is an "Empress Cornwell".... hahaha :D
  12. This may not fit what you are asking, but I just wanted to add that I luv all the moments where Jason Isaacs is not saying a damn word but is emoting so much just with his eyes and gaze. Such as the moment immediately tied to your third point... Lorca is not gloating over his victory but turns as if to address Burnham on her entering the bridge... It's an amazing look... with what appears to be a dozen different feelings being rolled into one silent gaze of acknowledgement mixed in with a sense of pride perhaps? You can almost sense Lorca saying.. "Yeah... thats the Burnham I've always known... Yer a mess but I just know you gave as good as you got". Its as if its a moment he had wanted to share with a "different" Burnham, but that opportunity had been taken away?
  13. I have the feeling that there was more exposition around this plot point in earlier drafts and then the Showrunners decided to make a few changes. I say this because originally, the mid-season break was supposed to happen 2 episodes back (I believe) and then CBS extended the mid season break to Ep. 9 this past Sunday. So I assume that the mid-season break was originally meant to be the Episode with Cornwell's double-cross and abduction?? Ep. 9 almost feels like it was originally meant to be an END of season finale?
  14. Lol-d-lol. I'm cueing up the Price is Right better luck next time diddy for you... Don-don-duh-daoooow.... Bow-owwwwwwww. Thanks fer playin.
  15. I feel there is also something of significance there. I believe in the "Context is for Kings" episode there is a moment where Burnham is trying to explain why she is no good to anyone and that her actions triggered a war. Lorca is having none of it! I forget his exact response to Michael right now but its something like "this was already predicted"... or "pre-ordained" or something along those lines. With the benefit of hindsight it now sort of seems that he had already seen the start of this war... in another reality.
