I dont tend to talk about anti-chemistry but their anti-chemistry was one of the main reasons i dropped the show the first time around. Yikes.
-
Its probably emmy worthy(lmao) due to stephens performance so it could even be a SA and the william kid actor scene that MG is referring to. SA tends to do good in scenes with male actors though,so it could be a scene with Chase. yeah it sucks how the show fails to present a on going emotional state for the characters. Much like how Felicity only remembered havenrock once Rory was introduced. I agree, she is good and the main reason i dont hate Samantha. However her character is irrelevant.
-
wow i didnt know that.
-
Yes.
-
4x15 was awful. 4x16 tanked mainly because of this.
-
I think both SA and his wife's reaction to that View video was more or less them being lowkey excited that they were mentioned on tv(it was on tv right?) and they acted all offended tagging the View accounts because they wanted to continue this small menion they got,to turn it into a fuss and make it a bigger deal than it was. The video wasnt offending them imo,it was just randomly using his public post to be sarcastic about couples.

Assuming Poseidon is the bid "bad" of the season, i hope its not Jacob because he is not a good actor and it would be underwhelming. I think the show is gonna try to paint Kellerman as the bad guy but eventully it will be revealed he was just sneaky trying to figure out what Michael has been up to all these years. I think it makes sense that Poseidon realised after he betrayed Michael, that Michael wasnt gonna stay in prison forever and that he tried to contact his people. Poseidon sent the blonde and that dude to keep an eye on Sara and use her to catch Michael once he escapes.
-
I cant stand Sara's husband. Such a waste of screentime. I hope he turns out to be a villain. I liked this episode as much as last week's episode. Whip and Michael are a good dynamic. Im laughing at Sara deciding to team up with T-bag. Desperate time calls for desperate measures,i guess. Oh btw, this episode implied that Michael spent years getting people out of prison and going undercover. No? He made a deal with Poseidon(who is this?).

Im almost sure an olicity reconciliation will be heavily teased towards the finale of the season. If oliver and felicity have a small chat about trying things again in the future,Ken wouldnt know unless he reads the scripts. Ken didnt even know about KC returning as regular for next season. He probably knows that Olicity wont be officially together by end of season which i kind of expect tbh. Doesnt mean by start of s6 they wont be shown extra close to one another in a s3 premiere type of way.

Im curious if this whole positivity attitude of JJ regarding celebs is done because they want to stay out of trouble with celebs lawyers and PR teams (JJ often posts exclusive pap pics of celebs). I always thought that the most logical reason as to why JJ never posted anything remotely spicy or even vague regarding celebs was because the celebs PR teams paid them (the win win situation) so that they are only posting pro headlines about them . I guess it could be like you said, that they want to build a specific reputation and not be seen as cheap gossip sites. Makes sense.
-
I didnt mean that he asked them to help him be promoted,or that they are doing damage control at all. I meant that the site profits by mentioning him and his team has an agreement with them about what they are allowed to post and what not, what parts about him they should sell the most and what not. Headlines talking about him being a family man,or him being a great dad etc are all discussed by the site people and his team which is why the site has never posted an article that used a shady or somehow contrived headline as clickbait but instead always praises him(for example during his latest movie project, plenty of sites had shared articles about him and his co star Meghan Fox potentially dating, but JJ never once-from what i recall- used a clickbait headline to post an article about it). My point is that i dont think he and his wife went to coachella or posted this pic just because they wanted JJ to promote it but rather that JJ is always promoting this celeb(whether its about him being hot,or about him being a good dad or about him being the arrow) so the site simply used this pic to gain traffic by pushing his image at the same time. I do think JJ has been told by his team about what he wants to be promoted and what he doesnt want them to post because theres an agreement between the site and his PR team so they cant just post anything they want. Its a win win situation. Im not sure what you understood. Unless youre saying that his team has zero agreement with big PR sites like JJ which i guess could also be true.
-
I think JJ is generally in agreement with many celebs agencys and PR teams to post stuff and promote them all the time. It doesnt mean SA and his wife specifically took the pic for that or that it was staged only for PR. I dont know much about how these things work but i think its possible that the site has been told by his team to promote certain stuff about him whenever they can by simply making articles from time to time based on his media and public appearance,so maybe promoting that he is a family man is part of it. Doesnt mean he did it for PR or that it was all PR attempt.
-
I agree. This type of attitude is what feeds the crazies and by crazies i mean the people who tag him about these stuff. Whether the tagging is happening to "expose" the trash shippers or whether it is some trash shippers themselves tagging him,i know that this wouldnt be happening to that extent if certain fandom accounts werent feeding this whole attitude aka talking so much over his "fake" marriage and his "affair" with his co star. Its more than simple opinions, its like a fantasy at this point that they keep feeding no matter what. Only its about real people. I realise its happening in many fandoms, that doesnt make it any less wrong and weird.
-
Personally i used to laugh at those "stemily" posts on twitter but then i realised many of those making them were actually feeding a fantasy, seriously believing these stuff ,even going into creepy mode and actively hating on real people who they know nothing about. So i think this whole thing is kinda disrespectful especially when its more than just opinions over media stuff ,when people start stalking his wife's accounts,or his wife's friends accounts, spending hours trying to prove whether or not the light in a pic or the absence of his wedding ring, means he is divorcing etc. I mean...yikes. Too much free time i guess.

Kind of. With only difference that one is about the show's people in regards to the show and bts ragarding the show while the other about privacy. Its one thing to believe two actors are doing PR with their interactions(much like many believe Emily and Katie are faking their friendship because of PR, right?) or that an actress threatened a whole network to lock a regular contract(which, if you ask me is extreme, but yet its still about the show and the drama regarding the show),and another to think that two actors are having an affair and that Stephen wants his kid(his kid has nothing to do with the show or anything bts over the show) away from her mother(yes, i have seen this around). Im not here to defend either side, its like i said, that many think two leads hate each other or that they are in love with each other. Happens in every fandom of popular fictional ships. I personally havent seen anyone claim that Emily hates her job. Hate is a strong word.
-
People are projecting their feelings into Emily. Some people believe SA hates his wife or whatever and that he is secretly in love with Emily and vise versa. That way whenever certain fans are mad at him for posting pics with his wife, they are acting like Emily is upset or shading him or whatever, even though to the rest of the world she is not. Its pretty weird if you ask me but it happens in many fandoms of popular fictional ships and every time these people act like they know stuff or that they pay attention and can tell from a photo whats happening behind the curtains. I just hope its not too awkward for the actors who seem to generally get along . Its always fascinating seeing people claiming to know whether a marriage is normal or happy or not, simply based on a couple of media interactions or stuff posted. I have learned that way too many times things are not as they seem and generally its very often that celeb couples who seem happy on media eventually break up while couples who seem off or weird stay together for many years. This is hollywood so it is often that the fakest something is, the happiest it will try to appear to the public eye. Either way,i dont think that making headcanons over people's personal life is a right thing to do,of course we cant help but have some opinions regarding attitudes and dynamics between public figures based on media stuff since the celebs themselves expose their personal lives to a certain level. However there is a line and for some its more than simply having an opinion on something, its clearly more and it gets almost creepy and obsessive spending so much time trying to figure out what a pic or a video means regarding someones marriage and whether it confirms a fantasy about a potential affair between two actors. In almost every show there are people who think the two leads are sleeping with each other,or that two leads hate each other or even both. Most of the times its just the fans headcanons and not true, just people who want to spice things up in order to have to talk in their free time and entertain themselves. Only thing is, majority of times these people actually believe the headcanons.

I feel like we share a similar mindset with this. To me it seems like if it werent for s4 being so bad,it would only be her few fans raging over her death. Instead all of a sudden, everyone loves her. I believe next season more people will voice their negative opinion over her. Cause i know many are tired of her being shoved non stop, even after death.
-
I disagree. I pay attention to many parts of the Internet, not just corners of it and I saw much more negativity over them killing laurel than them breaking up Olicity last year. Most negativity i saw regarding Olicity was about the duo in general being a thing . The episode after Laurels "death" raised in ratings too. It created buzz. Also Dinah trended once this season yet half tweets were hating on her and demanding that Laurel is back so while she is not really hated she is not popular either. She is more like Rory, enjoyable but not buzz worthy. Lastly, to reply to someone else's comment, I don't think comparing Laurel to Abby or Lexa is fair. Lexa was more popular than even Felicity last year. Of course Laurel dying wouldn't create such a big fuss. Lexa was also a gay character so many were upset that once again a show killed the gay character. It became more about representation of the LGBT community than simply dissatisfaction over the death of a loved character. As I said I don't think Laurel is such a popular character. But I do think that her death happened at a time that many fans were already upset with the writing of arrow and they easily followed the trend which was that Olicity ruined the show and laurel shouldn't have died, being a main comic book character since season one. As for Abby, she was literally a female lead, equal to the male lead. Laurel was never that(no matter what her fans say) and she didn't even have much of a focus last year. Which is why big media sites didn't use the "show killing its female lead" headline. That wasn't as buzz worthy as the Abby situation , an actual lead of a show being written off. Laurel dying created plenty of backlash imo for a show like arrow. It also happened during a time that many general fans were disappointed with the show. So the backlash was even bigger than it would have been, had she died at a different time. At least imo.

I appreciate your confidence with this claim but needless to say i disagree. They did try with Dinah, they saw she didnt create any buzz and here they are bringing LL back again. They even teased her redemption arc back in 5x10. Also ratings dropped in 5b. Of course lets agree to disagree. The backlash last season was huge whether people admit it or not. Facebook was wild and im not talking just about the arrow page. Stephens page was full of hateful comments about the writing decision and whining posts about her death. Top comments complaining about them killing Laurel had 3K likes, which is the most liked fan comments i have seen since s3 regarding arrow,in his page. I always thought LL was not such a popular character and i still think she is not a fan favorite. But the non passionate fandom fans are eailsy manipulated, always following the trend and last year the trend was to hate on olicity and love laurel. Personally i think the fans were upset with the season in general and had to put the blame on something so olicity and felicity were the easy targets, especially with Laurel stans spamming all pages.

Honestly, probably yes. I believe majority of stuff they do the last years is a reaction to fans and ratings instead of an actual plan and a well thought journey. The more the ratings drop the more they need the internet buzz, that's how cw survives anyway. Here we are towards the end of s5 and LL fans and Olicity fans are still fighting about whats the romantic endgame in this show. The announcement about her being back as regular as well as the rumors about olicity reconciliation all created buzz both negative and positive.. EPs probably love it. Guggie is even back on tumblr . lol
-
I agree. I also think at this point the EPs want her around after the huge backlash they got and the low ratings they get. I mean being a cw show,as long as something gives them internet buzz they will desperately use it even if it's run its course. Even if it wont help ratings at all.

Thats me. I feel like im 15 years old again. Prison Break was one of the first shows that i religiously watched. It kinda introduced me to the whole binge watching idea. Its nice that the new season is so similar to the good old Prison Break ,so i wont even bother to criticize much the show now,im just glad its back and that the main characters will get a happy(i hope) closure.

A pap said he did drugs. Unless the pap is trolling.

Ι have heard that about Stephen but first time im hearing it about EBR. I think she is because she is the girl that MG DMed regarding the script page that was signed by the cast. I think she talks in DMs to him.

Its just that almost every action show that has little kids uses them for this thing. They go missing/kidnapped or almost go missing for their parents to get worried. Sarah plays the mom role in almost all her recent shows.
