We took our own cakes for my family members joint birthday party at a restaurant The restaurant couldn’t supply birthday cakes and they were happy for us to bring them. They cut and served the cakes. It’s not unusual in my neck of the woods, but I can see why others might think it was something that shouldn’t be done

I have never known a church to not have Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services... I can’t comprehend not having services over Christmas Along with Good Friday and Easter, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services are the biggest of the year

Short hair needs more upkeep than short hair, if I haven’t had time to go for a trim, I can throw my hair up in a pony tail or bun and it’s good to go, but with short hair I needed to make sure I had regular visits to the hairdresser or it just looked sad

You must have the twin to my son. Even at 7 he is a rubbish sleeper. I work nights so my husband gets the joy of any nocturnal needs 😐

It annoys me that they couldn’t fake some enthusiasm for the job they signed up for, if I went to work and look less than impressed to be there, I’d be having to explain my disinterest in my job

I can’t snark on toilettraining and bib wearing ...my last was still wearing a long sleeved smock bib well after 3 and nor was he anywhere near toilet trained at 3 or 4 Parenting isn’t a competition to see who is trained, eating cleanly/ with utensils or whatever.
