After SA's tweet about the crossover and pancakes, let me just say this: if we don't get a family breakfast or dinner scene before the midseason break - meaning in 708 I guess? - or in the midseason premiere at the latest, I'll be very upset. Considering how much they're focusing on what Oliver's going through in prison and now the latest trailer showing Felicity saying Diaz took everything from her, I expect at least 2-3 domestic scenes for at least the first few episodes after Oliver's out of prison. I know that realistically, I should be happy if we get one.

I just thought of the only way I’ll accept Rene this season: wearing the Wild Dog mask with an FBI jacket. Just walking down the street. In the middle of the day. Because that probably wouldn’t be as ridiculous as NTA in general.

I feel like I'm supposed to be wowed by that sizzle reel, but I'm just not? Probably because Oliver doesn't interact with anyone outside of the other inmates once. They couldn't give us one tiny look at Oliver and Felicity's conversation? Something else between Oliver and Diggle? Also, I'm SO ANNOYED that Black Siren's working with the team, even though part of me is going, "Well, if she can help get Diaz off the show, it might not be the worst thing."

I think the only ones that would genuinely surprise me would be Moira or Walter.

All I know is we better get some good Felicity/Diggle scenes with this. Not one scene where Curtis and Rene are also present, then everything else off-screen.

I’d like that but I doubt it’ll happen. All I know is I better not see Rene near a microphone or giving any sort of speech. Or Curtis. Or Dinah. Or Black Siren (because who knows at this point, especially if she’s still DA). From now on, the only ones allowed to talk about Oliver and/or Felicity are Oliver, Felicity, William, Diggle (but not S6 Diggle) and Raisa. Maybe even post-mirakuru, forgetting about S3 Slade.

My first thought when I saw that photo was: "So Curtis is still around? Ugh."

None of that will matter once Oliver’s been in prison for a few months/episodes. That was really the deal. Watson: “Turn yourself in and stay in prison for about 6-7 months or until November sweeps, however long that is in TV time.” Oliver: “Okay. As long as I’m out by the mid season finale/crossover.” Random agent walking by: “November sweeps? TV time? Midseason finale? Crossover? What are they talking about?”

I still can't believe they're going to have Oliver in prison for a third of the season - because it is a third of the season - 7 episodes out of 21 (since it's a 22 episode season and the crossover takes up 709). I remember when I thought five episodes would be too many to have him in prison. I miss those days.

Let's just hope we never have to see that beard again after 707.

I really can't wait until that beard is gone. If Oliver refuses to shave when he's out of prison, we better see Felicity leaving razors everywhere: around their home, in the lair, etc. Oliver opens the refrigerator, there's a razor. Takes out a pan to cook, razor in it. Goes to take an arrow out of his quiver, pulls out a razor. Oliver goes into some random coffee shop and there's a razor on the counter. ETA: Oh, I'm supposed to be worried about him getting beat up all the time in prison, right? I'm sorry, that beard is too distracting.

On the one hand, great, this means the crossover won't interfere with any of the show's regular storylines and I can understand why three hours will be enough despite all the new characters coming in. On the other hand, I honestly don't know how I feel about Elseworlds even though I expected it? Which is strange because I was kind of intrigued by the idea when I first started suspecting that would be it. But I will say I'm excited about LaMonica Garrett because he played the only character I liked on Designated Survivor when I actually watched it.

Yeah, isn’t that the con we expected her to cancel for the film festival (which, really, would have been completely understandable)? If there is a family emergency (and we see her cancel the festival), I hope everything’s okay since she’s been cancelling appearances for family emergencies for a while now.

Haven’t watched the video, but all I know is if Felicity and Diggle are working together, we better see it onscreen. I don’t want to see Diggle telling the newbies, “yeah, I spoke with Felicity yesterday ...”

Exactly. I don’t think I’ve ever hated Oliver for something he’s done to hurt someone physically. In season 5, people didn’t hate him for that flashback. They hated him for his stupidity in the present day. I really doubt they’ll prove me wrong.

All I know is that if we barely get any Oliver/Felicity scenes, I’m not going to care about Oliver/anyone else (except Diggle and Roy) scenes after we had to watch Oliver take time to talk to Rene and Dinah in the S6 finale.

I hope you’re right. But then I think about how it’s only September and we’ll probably get more casting news in the next few weeks at the very least. Plus the crossover is only 3 episodes this year. Sure, LoT isn’t in it, but I don’t see why they have to bring in as many new characters as make up the Legends team to fill that hole, which is what it’s starting to feel like. And again, with one less episode. As for the casting, I’m one of the few who liked Juliette and didn’t mind BT’s acting for the most part (but hated what they did to her character and the relationships on Grimm, so I mostly blamed the writing, not her acting). I just don’t know if I can see her and TH together, you know? Hoping their first scene together proves me wrong. And I’m honestly not sure how I feel about SA’s wife getting cast. I don’t remember her on Mad Men. I do remember her on ANTM. Maybe she’ll surprise me and be good. Honestly? I just hope they don’t have another Earth’s version of Oliver connected to Mrs. Freeze in any way because I know they likely wouldn’t do that if she wasn’t playing the character.

But he’ll also complain about not being a vigilante and probably that Oliver didn’t talk to him before going to prison like he talked to the others just like he complained about not being interrogated by the FBI or subpoenaed. Because, you know, that’s Curtis.

That write-up about BS successfully taking over LL’s identity - it’s not like it was hard in S6. Lance wanted her to be LL. The public went, “yep, that story makes sense.” Even the doctor who declared LL dead went, “crazy things happen.” Now, if that changes in S7 with BS pretending to be LL and acting as DA, sure, I’ll call that a success. But she basically had LL’s life handed to her on a projection screen-sized, LL-picture filled platter in S6. Think before you write, TV Guide.

That Tv Guide blurb. Stop calling Lance BS’ father. He’s not. He’s another Earth’s version of her father. I hate being reminded that they killed off Lance in such a stupid way after making him pretty much crazy for too much of the season. Also, can we please not call Oliver Ollie?

That's what I'm thinking? Maybe 701 picks up present day, then we're getting flashbacks of characters from the time over the summer this season? So we'll see where Felicity was, what leads to Roy's storyline, etc.? We can totally skip the newbies' flashbacks. We don't need to find out what they did.

I don’t think Felicity had the pink in her hair in the photo of her with Diggle and the two people I refuse to acknowledge, so I don’t think we have to worry about seeing the age difference that much. Probably only really when she visits him in prison.
