Maybe Laurel returns in the finale to help with the annual May problem. Then Felicity asks her to hang around to watch over SC while she and Oliver go to the cabin to retire/have Mia since Laurel knows about the pregnancy. Oliver and Felicity tell the others the city’s safe in their hands. Then in 801, Laurel goes to the cabin to get Oliver because they need the Green Arrow. (Felicity can be out at the store/in another room with Mia for the conversation to explain her absence.) Because why not just repeat 401?

If it is what it looks like, I fully expect the press release to read, “Oliver turns to an unlikely ally for help” or “Oliver recruits an old friend,” but for Felicity or Dinah to bring in Laurel to help and Oliver and Laurel to barely exchange words in the entire episode.

The thing is, we haven’t seen anything from this Laurel suggesting she wants to suit up. I can buy her wanting to help people as DA after faking it in the beginning. But there’s been nothing to even suggest she wants to be (a) BC. So is it simply because she’s a Laurel?

If not for the overheard Overwatch comment, I would’ve speculated a FB to go along with that Starling City newspaper. I am confused because whoever’s in the GA suit doesn’t look like SA, but maybe it’s just the blurry photo.

Yeah, this is why the costume confuses me. Laurel could help them with whatever’s going on without suiting up (possibly) in her dead doppelganger’s old costume. I’m pretty sure she could wear whatever she wore in ... 706? (the black leather jacket) ... when Diggle kicked her out of ARGUS. Although if it’s not Laurel (or her stunt double) — the person who posted the pics answered someone and said they’re 9.5/10 sure it’s her — who is it?

So she can toss her hair back during an inevitable pose? How else will we know she’s now a “hero” (or at least on the “good” side) if she doesn’t get a superhero pose? Or SC is too stupid to recognize LL’s BC without the long hair? Or for stunt double purposes? I have no idea.

Hoping Laurel will be in the Malcolm role — helping the team during the annual May problem and then going on her way instead of actually joining the team and there being two Black Canaries abs permanent team members in the present. Having a Canary Network in the future is ridiculous enough.

If everyone's not crying because we're getting an emotional Olicity reunion in the FFs, then what's the point? (No, really, please give me that. I'm not ruling it out because they may very well give us that in case they can't get EBR back for the series finale.)

Same. Tried watching a repeat and only lasted 2 minutes. I have rewatched Barney’s proposal to Robin a couple times, but even that’s ruined.

There's no guarantee she'll return because I doubt she's signed on to return even just for the series finale yet. So the messages make sense.

I have a feeling if EBR is going to return at any point in S8, especially if it's for more than the series finale, we won't find out until SDCC. The thing is, if Oliver does die in COIE, I'm really not going to care how it affects anyone if we don't get Felicity's reaction. Am I supposed to feel bad for anyone from the other shows? For any of the team other than Diggle? Oh, no, Dinah's sad, but in 20 years, she'll be flip-flopping over how she feels about him/if she can trust William just because he's related to Oliver. Oh, no, Rene lost the guy he was willing to send to prison. Oh no, the city lost its hero it couldn't decide if it liked/supported or not.

The April 1 date on it makes me think it's a joke? Especially since Beth hasn't tweeted it. But at the same time, it's not the most unbelievable title?

Just noticed that it's a print of the photo. Their friendship is easily one of the best things to come of the show. I love when actors clearly get along off set. I also feel like this is just the beginning and we'll have plenty more to get emotional over until they wrap for the season. 😭

Says Starling City, not Star City. More FBs? Why am I picturing them basically piecing together a cast for the final season based on the number of episodes they're available for? "You can come in for an episode? Great! You can only do X episodes? Okay, we'll make it work." (And never admitting that people planned on S7 being the last.)

Yep. At the very least, I think we’ll get a FB Live from him tomorrow. Hopefully we’ll get quality Olicity content in the final episodes of the season. Also, do we know the titles for 720-722? We know 721, right? Although I doubt it’ll happen, I wish one of them would be “Overwatch.”
