  1. Yep. I feel like if they really wanted to do that in present-day Star City, they should have had BS save him on Lian Yu after the explosion. Then maybe he could have been torn about her. On the one hand, he knows she’s not his daughter. But on the other hand, she saved his life. Instead, it’s like the moment he thought he killed her, he went, “dead Lance daughter=my daughter.”
  2. I feel like part of the problem is the 5-month time jump. They wanted to do the typical time jump so badly, but in this case, it might have helped with certain storylines to see how characters ended up where they are. Oliver and William have made apparently zero progress in 5 months but suddenly just in time for the end of the premiere, progress is made. Oliver and Felicity apparently had conversations about their relationship and William off-screen but the premiere is so vague (perhaps to win over non-Olicity fans too?) that some people are left confused. Will we see those conversations in 620? Dinah has a new attitude that just doesn’t sit well with me, but perhaps it would if we saw gradual changes leading up to what we got from her in 601? Maybe there will be FBs in upcoming episodes that help with this, but for now, especially with Dinah and going off what they’ve teased about her this season, I don’t like what I’m seeing and what it could mean. And I think part of that was also all the promotion for BC and BS over the summer. Just look at the photos for 602 - aren’t there like 3 of BC and 1 of Oliver? (I’m on my phone and can’t check that to confirm exactly.)
  3. Didn’t SA say in an interview they originally had Oliver calling William “sport”? I’ll take “buddy” or “kiddo” over that even though I’d prefer none of them really. After all the Mysons - in what 2 episodes? - William should only be called by his name from now on.
  4. For me, the problem is also the promotion over the summer. For The Flash, they still promoted Barry even though they could have easily pretended he was going to be stuck in the speed force. For Arrow, most of the promotion was BS and BC, sometimes it seemed more than Oliver. And now the primary promotion for the episode after it’s aired is still BS? (And you know if they had used Felicity like that, sites like reddit would be going “Felicity and Friends” but it’s okay because it’s BS/BC?) As for Legends, Sara’s the lead/captain of the team. It makes sense to promote the show with one of her scenes.
  5. The CW used the beginning of that scene - with Alex setting off the first explosive up until BS’ entrance - in the tweet with a link to watch the premiere Friday. Today, they posted a clip from the bridge scene. I think for some reason, they really love that SCPD scene even though it’s just ... not good?
  6. Seriously, CW? I can’t believe what I just watched. No Oliver to promote Arrow? Who put this together?
  7. Dinah was promoted to Lieutenant over the summer at work, so I wonder if that had something to do with her new attitude? (I still don’t get that promotion by the way.)
  8. I think what it is is that Diggle's not using his/a gun if possible. And I think he picked up a gun from one of the mercenaries during the fighting before Oliver arrived.
  9. Yep. I wonder if it'll change once they introduce Dinah's LI or if we'll still be getting these weird (and way too many) Diggle/Dinah scenes.
  10. I don't think Felicity was dodging the question. I think it's just that it was an awkward way for them to have the "Felicity is still alive!" reveal drawn out just a bit longer - walking into the bunker instead of on comms - and to get a Donna mention in since they haven't mentioned her in relation to Felicity since season 4. (The only time she was mentioned last season was in relation to Lance.) And I don't think Felicity had other plans. I think it's just that she wanted to go (clearly disappointed with that pout), but she's unsure how to handle being in William's life since he just lost his mother and a kid is a new element for everyone. Oliver's still struggling to be his father. The premiere didn't even establish if William has met anyone but Oliver or if the kid's just going to school and then home and that's it. It's just weird. I think it's all just a matter of Arrow wanting to utilize a five month time jump but also wanting to drag out some things, like Oliver and William's relationship, Oliver and Felicity's relationship, Felicity and William's relationship, etc.
  11. After rewatching the premiere and not liking Dinah like I did last season, I couldn't help but think about this: I can definitely see why this is going to happen.
  12. So, between the premiere and the 604 description about BS attacking the city again, they're pretty much making it obvious that she won't be redeemed, right? I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd kind of like a quote from one of the EPs about BS now that the premiere has aired. I'd like to see them try to explain anyone trying to find good in her after she killed cops and told Lance she'd have pulled the trigger on him. What would be the defense? "Well, he shot her first when she was threatening to kill Dinah"?
  13. I just rewatched the episode. I still can't believe I liked Rene the most out of the B-team. (Minus the blondie comment.) Wait, Dinah was promoted to Lieutenant? I missed that the first time around. That seems fast considering she just came to Star City less than a year ago. The BS walking through the SCPD and bombing it was worse this time around (so, uh, third time watching it because it was a sneak peek?). I didn't think that was possible. There's definitely a weird vibe between Dinah and Diggle, not sure if it's necessarily romantic, but it's there. I think it's because of JH's acting in those scenes? Oliver finding Thea on the island is just as confusing. Dead? No. Wanted it to seem that way to draw something out after revealing almost everyone else was alive pretty much immediately? Definitely. I feel like there's something missing between Oliver and Slade between the island FBs and the present-day hospital scene. It just feels off?
  14. Yeah, that was just ... weird? I guess maybe somewhere in all that leather, there could be Kevlar, so she could have just been faking it? But I honestly couldn't tell if she was really injured and when the person arrived she just popped up, "hey, all better!" or faking it until the person got there.
  15. I didn’t think Felicity was hiding anything?
  16. Question: What episode were they filming when SA said that Felicity is good at math?
  17. I still can’t believe we didn’t see Oliver reuniting with at least Felicity and Diggle on the island. I expected it, but I had hoped that I’d be proven wrong.
  18. Yep. I wanted to get S4 Curtis back but he’s S5 Curtis but worse. Ugh. I hope they don’t, but it’s definitely something I’m thinking during their scenes. They just really need to cut down on the Diggle/Dinah scenes.
  19. I was underwhelmed. I expected them to draw out the reveals and the stuff they did draw out was predictable. Oliver and Felicity were adorable, but I kind of wished they'd given us something more, especially after what we had to sit through last season. I'm already over this whole Black Siren/not Laurel/evil Laurel/yes Laurel/etc. thing they have going on and I want Quentin Lance to have a storyline that's not tied to his daughters/not-daughters/drinking. Curtis is very annoying still, Dinah has gotten annoying (I liked her last season!) and maybe it's because he was in the hospital with a collapsed lung, but Rene was the best out of the B-team. The photo reveal at the end was ... meh? It was quite a clear photo, so I have to give them that? But it didn't have the impact on me that I think they wanted it to. As for Diggle, why couldn't he have those conversations with Oliver or Felicity instead of Dinah? There has been too much Diggle/Dinah going back to last season and I hate that it looks like that trend is continuing. As for William, hated the "bad man" scene and I'm not really feeling the father/son scenes when they're happening. After, sure. I feel bad for Oliver that his son is calling him a bad man and that agreeing to watch a game is SUCH A BIG THING when it's been five months, but that's about it.
  20. So, since that BBB scene was an actual scene, I guess we'll be getting the Olicity one at the loft in an upcoming episode?
  21. Okay, I'm already over this whole thing with Lance and Black Siren. Also, Curtis is still annoying. And should we start placing bets on how long it takes for the bunker to be completely back to normal?
  22. "Black Siren is not Laurel." Yes, this. Let's stick with that please.
  23. Of course Samantha lived long enough for that. Way to be predictable, Arrow.
