  1. Rick Kitchen, Thanks for the info! Interesting how Nick is listed at #5 already. Odd, since he's only been a winner for a few weeks now. Wondering what criteria they are using. Did they say?
  2. Can someone please tell me why David Cook isn't a success? After Idol, when they released "Time of My Life," I really thought that he would make it, similar to the success of (maybe) Daughtry. He has a great voice (IMO) and is a relatively talented songwriter. He is also personable and pretty good looking. Every now and again I'll hear him on the radio, one of his post TOML songs that never quite caught on in the same way. I know he has a new album coming out. Is it too late for him?
  3. I don't remember Jimmy Iovine loving PP all that much during the show. I do remember Jimmy & Co. trying to get PP to change his style and wear more trendy clothes and change his hairstyle. He refused and stuck with his jeans & plaid shirts. Clarke went along with all of those grooming suggestions, so to say that he was difficult in all areas isn't really true. He simply wanted to perform what he loves and feels comfy doing. PP also refused to bend in that area. Difference being the songs PP enjoyed performing happened to be southern rock, not R & B oldies like Clarke. I wish both Clarke and Nick much happiness and success!
  4. Could the girl with Nicole be the daughter she adopted with Tom Cruise? Am I remembering correctly, that they adopted a child together? Anyone have a link to Clark singing The National Anthem at last night's LA Clippers game? Would love to hear it.
  5. I thought Clark seemed at ease last night. Actually less nervous about the final results than Nick. Maybe it's his faith. People of strong faith truly can put things into God's hands and accept what they believe God has in store for them - that God knows what's best for them in the long run. It's an extremely difficult thing for most people to do. Also, Clark does have that wide eyed deer look in general. It's just how his face is. I wish him well. He was my pick from Hollywood Week on. I hope he doesn't go the Christian route, but finds an agent who can groom him into a Sam Smith type of artist.
  6. Happy for Nick's Dad, who never made it in the business. Clark seemed genuinely happy not winning. He knows in many ways he's better off. Were the judge's lip synching their performance. JLo seemed to be, but Keith looked like he was singing live. And why didn't Harry sing? No mention that the voting was close.
  7. Love Keith Urban's performance! He's the total package. Since Keith said he thought Nick was the winner by a small margin, JLo had to say Clark to even it up. Or she read Bing's prediction.
  8. Honestly shocked that Jax didn't make the finale. That being said, I am rooting for Clark, but am ok with Nick winning. I also read Bing's prediction of Clark's elimination, with Jax & Nick going on to the finale. So happy they were wrong. Don't really like the song Big Machine wrote for Clark. He obviously prefers Nick - couldn't be more obvious. Nick's song is too young for him. Has a One Direction feel to it.
  9. I think you're right, Urban! Even though Clark has been my horse in this race since Auditions, I also like Nick and would be fine with him winning if Clark was voted out. Nothing personal regarding Jax. She seems like a nice girl and all, but I don't see how she is talented enough to win American Idol. My opinion, of course. Wednesday night I really noticed how JLO is given preferential treatment when it comes to giving her opinion, screen time....all of it. I would love Kelly Clarkson between Keith and Harry at the judges table. The perfect trio, IMO.
  10. 27bored, I think Rayvon's time was finally finished, no matter what current hit he was given to perform. Sad, I thought he did a good job with "Want To Want Me." Bogo, thanks for the spoiler, although I hope it's wrong......"sigh" Wonder where Rayvon's votes will go?
  11. Rayvon sang Jason DeRulo's "Want To Want Me" which is also a current hit played constantly on all the pop &hip/hop/r & b stations.
  12. I see that Clark's "Earned It" is #78 on ITunes. Don't see any one else from American Idol this week's song in the Top 100.
