To the bolded: That was the only decent garment in Ashley's collection - everything else was ugly or just so wrong. I would wear something like that with jeans or over leggins as a tunic. As for the other three, I ended up liking almost eveything each one put out.

I agree. After all, if any of them had watched prior seasons of PR, they'd see that whenever someone is auf'd, Tim sends the person back to pack up/clean their workspace and we see the designer packing up their tools. Unless these particular contestants thought everything would be provided.

And they makeup stylist kept going on and on about her "great" eyebrows. Sorry, I didn't like them with both her pale skin and the bad bleach job of her hair. And Alexander's taste in colors/patterns is all in his mouth.
-
Well, considering the designers were followed around by a camera crew, I think anyone approached could safely assume it was legit. Can I just say that the women chosen didn't need much in the way of a makeover. All of them were thin, all were fairly pretty. Why didn't the designers opt to show how creative and skillful they can be by transforming someone who's a little overweight or not conventionally good looking?

I don't know what her children's line looks like but based on this outfit, does she design for Goth kids?

Kini finally got a win, woo hoo! I'm glad the judges decided to give the win to both him and Sean. Sean had a very unique idea with the dye and fortunately it worked. I liked Fade's but it didn't really meet the challenge, IMO. No relation to the rainway at all and didn't seem avany garde to me. As for the rest - meh.

Online Petition Asking PR to bring back 2/3 day challenges

Great idea. I signed too. -
Guess this means we'll be subjected to the "Tim Gunn save" very soon. Really wish they'd get rid of that gimmick altogether.

I loved Fade's dress but I bet it would have made it into the top 3, if not the winner, if it had had some sparkle to it. Maybe alternating lines of sequins or something. I'm happy that Sean won (instead of Amanda) and also liked Kini's. Sorry to see Kristine go since i thought she had some interesting designs. As for Mitchell, well he always struck me as a bit immature as a designer. He needs some seasoning.

S13.E02: Unconventional Movie Nite!
DarkMatter replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Project Runway
First impressions: seriously, I think Angela should have been the one to go. I didn't think much of her garment and her team as a whole was just so blah. I liked Mitchell's dress but then I'm into glitter and sparkle. Sandhya's team - the outfits were too much alike but I liked them all. They should have been safe rather than in the bottom. Didn't like Amanda's look at all and can't see why it won but what do I know. I may have to watch this again. -
I don't understand how Sandhya won. I'm glad she wasn't auf'd (because I loved the garments she showed during her audition) but that dress was seriously hideous. I was very disappointed. Loved both Char's and Amanda's garments and would have been happy with either of them winning. As for the bottom three, while I agree they all did belong in the bottom, I wish the judges had decided to keep Jefferson and let Mitchell go.

Someone in the Finale thread mentioned having different judges judging the finale instead of Jen, Zanna and Rachel. Having not seen the work of the designers during the season, they would be more objective and would just pick a winner based on the collections presented at the finale. No favorites, no backstories to influence them so a better chance to get a fair result. So the regular judges handle the challenges leading up to the finale and then a new bunch of judges, fresher eyes and more objective, would pick the season winner.

Oscar won (yay)! I need to watch again later this week but on first impression, they all had at least one garment I liked, even Asha. In fact, I actually liked a couple of her pieces. Sam, not so much. To me, his work comes off kind of bland and forgettable. I was very disappointed with Shan's collection. Based on his past work in the show, I expected something more "wow" from him. Except for the gorgeous red jumpsuit, each piece looked too busy. And Oscar - I loved everything in his collection - not a miss in the bunch.

S01.E12: Superhero Fashion

The fabric from Asha's top looked like leftovers from Blake's piece last week. It actually wasn't a bad outfit but I didn't think it was good enough to go forward to the finals. As for Sam, most of his stuff, to me anyway, just comes off as bland. I really can't remember anything he created that wowed me or at least left a good impression. -

I couldn't see the superhero inspiration in Sam's (plus I thought it was hideous) so I was surprised the judges chose to have him go to the finale. But it figures they would turn around and pass Asha along too. Loved both Oscar's and Shan's - I would be happy if either of them won.
