  1. Just had to pull this gem phrase out to say it made me laugh and laugh and laugh . . . well done! :D
  2. What I didn't get is why Patrick left his hotel room and walked down the block, stopping on a public street to video chat, but insisted his mother go into a room by herself at home before he spilled the Myriam beans? Are you alone, are you by yourself? It wasn't NEARLY that dramatic of a phone conversation.
  3. Hi Loren!!!!! ;) Except for non-engaged Duggars, of course . . . ;)
  4. Ditto. So many of them do this. I was thinking last night that the correct pronunciation of this word should be a prerequisite for appearance on the show. And oh yes, I am that strict. My personal top annoying phrases are " worldwind" vs. "whirlwind" and "wallah" instead of "voila" - crazy-making.
  5. My theory is that the "hasn't done it in a decade" story COULD be a pre-emptive response to our collective screaming at the TV -- "HEY PAUL! Why didn't YOU have to be tested for STDs so Karine can trust YOU?!?!?!" Paul's the one going on and on about all his "many" past relationship trainwrecks and "shadowy" criminal past he hasn't seen fit to tell her about yet. Untrustworthy x 10. What a worthless putz. Is he the one shown in the preview clips being shot at as he runs screaming into the jungle? LOL Can't wait -- early nominee for most delicious moment of the season!
  6. I feel the same way. The other thing that pissed me off was her playing all snuggly in the bed for her friends on Snapchat, misrepresenting how irresistible she is and how f'in great everything is going with the hot guy in Spain when nothing could be further from the truth . . . GTFOH.
  7. This week's episode specifically addressed a return on screen -- the woman vet with PTSD and a bad back. She said the poodle mix was too energetic for her and she needed to focus only on herself and her kids. Understandable, but I felt the return coming almost from the beginning. Early on she said she "didn't just want a pet, I need a dog that is going to do things for me" and didn't seem overly committed to the time and patience required for even the fairly minimal at-home bonding and training. She already had buyer's remorse at that point I think. Not everyone is a dog person, which is OK (I guess LOL). I really felt no connection between the two after that first day at the shelter. IMO the dog showed more connection and genuine affection with Laura (the trainer) than she did with the new owner. I'm glad he (Weston) got a great new home -- I hope that's true.
  8. And what about the preview with Adam crying and saying something like "this is just so $*(@^$ up"?
  9. I have a strong & growing suspicion that NONE of these couples make it through the international visits and we're going to get all new 'characters' for the upcoming "90 Day Fiance" regular season . . .
  10. Ah, but the only source of info we have re: his 'non-payment' is Danielle. She babbled something about him telling her he sent a money order but it never made it to her and she wants it! He told her (correctly) to check with the court/her attorney. I think a lot of times (legal experts, correct me if I'm wrong) payments as the result of a court settlement have to go through the court so payment can be verified. How do we know he didn't do just that and it's held up in the system? How much time passed between the final divorce settlement and the Tell All anyway? I tend to believe Mohammed is telling the truth here and Danielle (as usual) has written her own script. No way should he pay her anything directly - she'd lie and say he never paid (and sue him)!
  11. I referred to it as "chewing off my arm to save myself from a trap," but same thing. LOL Cut your losses and get busy living . . .
  12. That and her whole speech about "honesty" and "lies of omission" -- um, WHAT?!?! The whole 'trets' is not hereditary drama plus throwing her best friend under the bus and letting her take the blame for a year for the bachelorette party strippers make Lauren a liar and omission sinner complaining about a liar and omission sinner . . . dontcha think?
  13. Do you mean Paul? I saw Mr. STD-Test-Required Paul's long filthy fingernails, for sure. I wonder if we are all being punked -- Paul is too ridiculous to be believed. Cooling vest? Penis protector? Trunks of supplies, including a pregnancy test, stuffed toys, and a hank of mama's hair? C'mon! This 'character' is really, really hard to believe. Are the producers having a good laugh? I mean I KNOW there are very weird, odd people out there, but THIS weird & odd?!?!?
  14. It's true in some cases though. My company has an office in The Netherlands and the people are pretty hard to work with sometimes. Opinionated and stubborn and with an very inflated sense of role -- classic tail wagging the dog scenario. They have never sugar coated a comment or opinion in their lives and don't 'get' the American 'social lubricant' that allows us all to work together in relative harmony 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
  15. I can help with this one! A traffic coordinator at an ad firm handles ad space purchase, placement & negotiations/agreements with print media/digital outlets and makes sure that all artwork, etc. are provided by the agency on deadline. Usually handles managing the entire media plan for a specific client or clients. It's typically a very detail-oriented, high-pressure (at times) job that requires excellent organizational and communication skills with in-house creative staff & account managers, as well as media sales reps and production teams. She must be sharp.
  16. So much this. She came off as a snotty, unaware, condescending child with this statement (and it's one of the few things she said, if I recall correctly). Russ had the current popular neo-Nazi haircut. Ew. Who has stormed off set so far: Pao, Danielle, Mohammed . . . ? All a bunch of whiners; not fun to watch.
  17. And what's with his douche-bro vocabulary, especially the understatement to Kristina: "I can tell you're not stoked." Ya think?! Stoke THIS, buddy! He's jerking her around and she should consider it a plus that he revealed himself so early. All the BIP "dates" are underwhelming. Low-budget for sure & they appear to last about two hours each!
  18. I just GOTTA think this is a put-on . . . seemed they were winkingly making fun of people who always talk about their kids and how "heartbroken" they are to have left them behind (like they had no other choice in life). Especially when he said something like "I gave up a lot to do this . . . I left my dog behind." Just seemed like a 'thing' to me. Seemed very Grease . . ."Tell me more, tell me more" LOL
  19. I thought it was VERY interesting that Rachel said the places they're considering living are their current hometowns of Miami and Dallas -- or LA! LA?! Someone has show biz dreams, or maybe both of them . . . Hard to believe Bryan's mama would be down for him living anywhere BUT Miami. First mom/fiancee clash? Who will win?
  20. Yeah, random tour manager chick actually TOUSLED the roadie's hair after yelling at him for being rough with the amps -- like a kindergarten teacher making up with a 5-yr-old she had just scolded. Weird moment. Not "cute" -- that's for boys. He's ruggedly handsome & mature. Deacon is definitely my favorite man candy on the show! ;)
  21. I thought it was strange that "Mr. Budweiser" Will sat there mute during the meeting -- seemed he enjoyed his commercial shoot and the positive attention that came with it. It worked exactly as designed in his case -- seems he would have have something to say about that, but he said nothing. I also found it random that this is the first and only episode that showed how "busy" Deacon is and overwhelmed with work. Huh? In previous episodes he was mostly Mr. Mom and part-time manager/producer to Jessie, with a few scattered drop-ins & convos w/Zack at the office. Since when did his "work" become such a burden? Since this pop-up storyline about letting Hwy65 go? That could have been built up a bit better vs. being dropped into the same episode. It was weird.
  22. He was an arrogant douche the whole episode -- I've written cookbooks, I own two restaurants, I went to Johnson & Wales, I'm bringing some fine dining up in here -- ugh. I can't help but feel he was also HIGHLY insulted to lose to a mere female with so much less training & experience. She was a lovely, positive person and seemed to have a natural knack/talent for flavors and such a passion and joy for the process. I'm glad the judges agreed!
  23. I don't for one second buy that Lee was "ignorant about what the NAACP does" as he claims (ignorance as an excuse is popular these days). Your argument is based IMO on a faulty premise. With his original tweet he was clearly drawing an alternative-facts comparison, saying that NAACP was just as hateful and biased toward white people as the KKK is hateful and biased to black people. What he was probably REALLY going for was Black Lives Matter vs. KKK -- that comparison was pretty widely thrown about in last summer's rampant "whatabout-ism" that was all the rage (and continues to this day among ignorant trolls in Comments sections across the internet). He knew exactly what he was saying then and to claim otherwise now is (word-of-the-season) disingenuous.
  24. I think they said 13-year waiting list for the brother. From what I understood, the six-month countdown for his parents begins AFTER Alexi becomes a citizen (which takes 3 years after getting a green card -- I think he's only one year in?) and petitions for them to come here. So we're likely 2.5 years out from even his parents moving to the U.S. -- Artem has plenty of time to visit the U.S. multiple times and meet and marry an American -- there may even be some type of semi-arranged marriages among the more conservative sects and an Israeli citizen might be a hot property? No idea, but point being -- there is still plenty of time for an Artem coming-to-America solution OR maybe he will be established with a job, wife, home of his own in Israel by the time his parents would be moving here 2.5 yrs from now and momma won't worry so much about leaving him "alone."
  25. Agreed. The last shot with the mom lounging on the couch pontificating (and the aforementioned TV whine session at the airport) were particularly galling. She and the sister had a perma-smirk going on the whole time. But I really couldn't "root" for either family -- Chantel's family (especially her mother) did NOT go to the DR so "the families could meet/get to know each other." She definitely came with an agenda & was pretty rude, insensitive, weirdly voodoo-obsessed & culturally unaware . . . IMO. I've seen chicken feet on Chopped. Maybe not STUPID Americans, but definitely in their bubble and not too interested in going beyond it.
