  1. She could have bought a salad. I do it all the time. Chick Fila side salad with grilled nuggets. Easy peasy
  2. Seeing her interact with her brother makes me cry. So sweet!
  3. Also, it wouldn't be impossible to eat a whole pizza in a day if you kept going back for more every hour. Add in snacks and you could easily eat tons of calories in a day and gain weight. Which is what I suspect some of these 600lbers are doing.
  4. I had the sleeve 2.5 years ago and I have kept off the 100lbs that I lost the first year. Still need to lose a little more (30lbs or so). The farther out you get the harder it becomes. In the beginning it is so easy because your stomach is swollen and there is so little room for food. Once that swelling goes down it is up to you to eat right and exercise to keep it going. You can easily gain weight back by eating the wrong foods and what we sleevers call slider foods (ice cream, candy, cookies-basically carb & sugar loaded things). That's why it's so important to make changes early on and stick with it. It's definitely not an easy fix. It takes life long dedication but it does give us a fighting chance. You just have to want it.
  5. I'm here in Texas. Not far from Steven ? I don't know how he was able to get so many narcotics. They do not make it easy here (although he managed somehow). The law changed back in 2014. Narcotic scripts have to be written on a special prescription pad and cannot be called in by the doctor. The day after my husband had his VSG I took his script in for liquid Vicodin and they would not fill it because it was not written on the correct prescription pad. We are an hour away from our bariatric doctor so I couldn't easily go back for another script. Thankfully I had some left over from my VSG (I had mine 3 weeks prior) so he had some to take. It wasn't quite enough but got him through. The first 4 days or so were pretty painful. Pisses me off that people like Steven make it so difficult to get for those of us who truly need it.
  6. I was on dilaudid when I was in the hospital after my vertical sleeve gastrectomy and I walked the halls a lot (I also had a fall risk band on) I was hooked up to it and could push a button for more every 10 minutes or so. Good stuff!! Haha Maybe I was allowed to leave my room anytime I wanted to walk because my husband was with me and I wasn't as large as Steven (under 300lbs).
  7. Or it could be urine. I have a bed wetter and it bleaches out and turns dark colors pinkish that look just like that.
  8. I so miss the older uplifting and motivational episodes. I used to look forward to each new episode but not so much lately. Please let this be the last train wreck (well I don't mind one here and there to snark on but I'd rather cheer on someone who really wants it)!
  9. Found this (kinda) interesting blog about Steven. He claims to be bisexual. http://thatdeadgirl666.blogspot.com/2012/09/fatboygetdown-needs-reality-check.html?m=1
  10. Mamadrama, that sounds awful! I'm sorry you have to deal with that. (((Hugs)))
  11. Anyone notice that weird creepy smile on his face when he was being bathed in the hospital? He obviously likes the attention and is unlikely to ever change. Mentally I don't think it's possible. Like others have said, their growth is too stunted. Is it even possible to grow up at this stage?
  12. This show has become so ridiculous I can't even watch it anymore. I'm going to delete it off my dvr and just come here for updates. I just can't make it through an hour of this crap anymore. So done
  13. Eww, fecking disgusting. Doesn't sound like he deserves any help. Why would they put him on this show? I wish they would help those that truly want it. I highly doubt he does. NASTY ?
  14. Wow, being from Texas it never crossed my mind that biscuits & white gravy would be so foreign to others. I personally don't care for it but it's on almost every breakfast menu here.
  15. It's legal as long as the lid is taped down and no straw in it. Sounds crazy I know. We actually have gone through and picked one up but didn't drink any until we got home.
  16. Yes, here in my part of the Lone Star State we have a drive through daiquiri hut. A delicious frozen drink to go!?
  17. Why don't they just include the pop ups in the first episode since it's the same thing? I'm glad some of you watch them to give us the extra scoop (haha) because there is no way I could get through them a second time!
  18. Just to give y'all an idea of what is required to get from your first consult visit to surgery. I know I would be curious if I had not gone through it myself!? Oh and NUT=Nutritionist ? 19. Dr Garth Davis did my surgery and yes, there are many hoops to jump through before surgery. Took 5 months from my first visit to surgery. I think there's a lot they don't air on the show. I was no where near 600lbs but I needed help. I've lost over 100lbs and no longer have high bp, high cholesterol and I'm not at risk for diabetes now. I've kept it off for over 2 years now. I'd still like (and need) to lose about 30lbs. Best thing I ever did!
  20. That's what I thought too. She could have just used Lola as her stage name.
  21. Blueberry is so good, my fave! Too high in calories for me tho! ?
