My guess? As with all reality shows, the "reality" may bear a slight resemblance to the tease, but only slight. Just like you *know* the designer whose face is shown during a "coming up next" runway critique will *not* be the one to whom the comment was directed.

Embarrassed to admit I once watched "America's Next Top Model" until there came a time it became so shallow and nonsensical I was wasting an hour of my life every week. Feel that way about "Dancing With Random People Found on the Street," and now Project Runway. Started when it devolved into a product placement focus, but for me, as of last night, the shark has officially jumped. Still love Tim, though.

Actually, back in the day (waaay back in the day), extra meat on the bones was desirable because it indicated that you were wealthy enough to have enough food to eat. "Rubenesque" wasn't always a dirty word :-)

I didn't mind that either, but I sure did think Krystal had a place at the table.

Yes; and didn't the boss say "Make it work this time?" I have no memory of ever having seen her, either.

Unfortunately, my guess is that it's still the prevailing attitude.
