Why is his auntie or whoever she is, treating him like such a baby? He needs a bariatric wheelchair. It's one thing to say these folks need exercise, it's another to physically burden them so much that they can't breathe/function.

Pardon me for stating the obvious, but boy howdy, that's a lot of food.

I am buying a meal from the grocery. I'm going to pack some for my son & his family, they will come over for a bit as we open presents masked and distanced around the room, look at the grand baby for a bit, and then I'm gonna give them their food and push them out the door.

Hello Pounders! My eating habit is a Stouffer's spaghetti & meat sauce, with a Yasso yogurt bar to follow.

It's wings. Don't judge.

Good night, guys. See you next week. I'm glad I didn't get blown away. The tornado watch is only for 10 minutes more, so I think I'm OK, tho the winds are supposed to last all night. It'll be fine. I'm gonna keep my shoes on for another 30 minutes or so, tho.

I think it is for me as well. It has been hard stepping away from that life, but I think this is it. I like the Church stuff tho - no 20 page papers and friendly reviewers. 😄

When he said that, I said aloud, "Keep lying." Maybe I should have taken that call from the missionaries. Maybe with more of their sweet guidance, I wouldn't be so judgmental. Nah. Too late for me. 10 years in Philly will mess up anybody.

Two Philly subs (I used to live in Philly, I know how big they are), wings, etc.? That is not on the diet. This is not good situashun. Dang lights are flickering...

I hear you. I get my grand son every now and then and that's enough. My sister baby sits a grand baby every day. I'd go nuts. I keep my hand in by writing. I have a journal article coming out soon and have been asked to be a regular writer for a women's website for the Church, so that's enough. I usually have to put some research in, which I like doing (retired academic), but I don't want to have to go into work everyday, or even part-time.

I've been switching with weather info and must have missed some things - was his 'friend' in Oregon a catfish? He did all that packing and didn't move to Houston?

I'm retired, as is my sister. She naps a lot. I never nap - and I'm usually up until 2-3 a.m. and get up at 9-ish. There's so much to do during the day, even stuck in the house w/COVID restrictions, I can't imagine napping. Even on my lazy days, I like to be awake and lazy, fooling around on the internet, not asleep. My son has always been able to nap - even at jobs. I don't know how people do it.

50 MPH winds where I am now, but they reported 80 in Ottumwa. Unbelievable - and the storm hasn't gone thru my area completely yet. I hope we don't get 80 MPH! We had a lot of damage after the derecho; this may be similar.

So how many months did it take him not to lose any weight? Damn. Tornado siren. I may have to dip out. I turned on the TV, which went out right after the screen went red from all the activity. It appears to be a major wind storm with big damage. I'm sitting next to a window. I'm gonna go in the interior bathroom and will try to follow on my tablet.

The storm is about 20 minutes from me now. We have a tornado watch. Why do these people need a cheat day? Their whole lives are cheat days.

When he first moved here, my son went to interview at Geico's call center. He took one look around and told reception that he cancelled the interview and left. He said that just looking at the set up made him depressed. Thankfully, he went back to school, got a master's, is ABD, and has a very good job. Sometimes you need to be scared straight.

My computer was giving me problems and I had to reboot. I don't think I've missed anything. My sister has already called me about the weather, so I think she's good for tonight. While I was doing that, the sister missionaries called to check in. I had to let it ring. It's hard to say, "I can't chat because my show is on."

He's in the chair all day. What "loose ends" could he have?

Hello, my people! My eating habit was Rao's chicken parm and a Yasso fudge bar. The FaceBook group complained about the show. I guess we'll see. I hope I can hold on for the whole show and don't have to go to the basement. The tornadoes/major wind storms are about 100 miles from me in Iowa.

See you guys next week. I've warned my sister not to call. 😠

So you're still on the Trulicity? How's that going for you? I just started Ozempic last week. I couldn't hack the metformin and have been on insulin for years. So far, I seem to be doing OK as far as side effects. I don't want to jinx it, tho. I did Byetta over 10 yrs ago and that made me so uncomfortable, I've been reluctant to try any of the newer meds. But my doc suggested Trulicity or Ozempic, I did some reading and video watching and opted for the O.
