  1. And Tituss Burgess sure did chew the scenery!
  2. We were yelling in stereo. Poor Bryan, a bridesmaid once again 😥
  3. It's not just that he's left handed. He holds it more like a pencil than a fork.
  4. We have a Kevin on our island (in fact, at one time, we had several Kevins). But yeah, actually having a picture with one is a different story, not to mention getting that as a challenge.
  5. He holds the fork in the weirdest way -- I've never seen anyone else eat like that.
  6. It's not what I meant. It's an odd coincidence that she just happened to have a picture of herself with a peacock.
  7. Granted, that does seem oddly specific.
  8. I noticed in the previews that the new Duff show will have baketestants in it who were on Is It Cake? and last fall's Harry Potter baking competition. It's the same people over and over because that's what they all specialize in. I've seen enough of Elizabeth Rowe for a lifetime.
  9. And the word of the night was opulent. What did that have to do with magic or spring? Producers really reached with this one. Although the chocolate work was interesting, all I could see on Priya's cake was the white, uncolored section at the top of the first cake. Raveena was robbed.
  10. Based on the few times I've had it (including in Australia where it was born), the fruit on a Pavlova is always fresh, not glazed. Not sure what Duff was talking about.
  11. I always laugh when Nancy calls something a plate or a bite of food. I just don't think of dessert as food, though of course it technically is. It just makes it sound like beef stroganoff or something.
  12. I thought it looked more like baklava than tiramisu, especially since she cut it into wedges, and tiramisu is usually served as a square. Also, tiramisu doesn't have sauce on the top like her version did, it's cocoa powder. Someone made the comment that they'd like to see what the chefs would've come up with if they'd been given more time. Yes, exactly this. This sort of stunt needs time to develop properly, so they can actually pull off something spectacular. They have no time to even see if it would work.
  13. To be fair, the only real bombe (bomb as well, unfortunately) was Corey's. The rest were ice cream cakes, in my book.
  14. Same. I once had a waiter asked me how I'd like my pork chop cooked and I looked at him as though he was crazy. I also think the texture would have to be yucky. No thanks. Cooked through for me.
  15. I had that same thought about the narrowing field, especially as it got down to very few people. I also wondered why they didn't at least give her some water -- nothing had to taste good by the time she was down to the last plates.
  16. Um, Kardea, "It tastes like someone's grandmother," is not a compliment!
  17. I didn't realize there was a third brother!
  18. The Voltaggios are the living embodiment of the game Shag, Marry, Kill (they'd need to pull in a third one!) 😉, with obvious conclusions.
  19. It was, although that's what came up in the randomizer. I don't know that there was any other choice, given the other ingredients.
  20. They have a YouTube channel called Iron Chef Dad. Their dynamic is very cute.
  21. I was surprised Nancy in particular didn't mention that.
  22. I'm not a fan of Britt's either. But can we do without the insults to her size, pls?
