Look, I understand everyones frustration but Alyssa has always made it clear her opposition to trump was not policy but character and I think the scope of the loss made her feel like she was in a bubble given she convinced herself Kamala would win...she is also likely being advised by producers to represent other side more forcefully bc of trumps win. If she were to leave, they would likely feel pressured to add a full MAGA and redo Hasselbeck days so pick your poison folks. If Whoopi and Sunny would be less dismissive of criticism towards Biden and dems writ large, I dont think Alyssa and Sara would be taking the devils advocate role as much. They have both been visibly frustrated dealing with Sunny. Even Ana has gotten annoyed at Sunny's stubbornness.

was just about to say this. It's totally fine for her to feel this way but it is impacting her work and professionalism too much. She cannot even have opinions without interrupting. Asking voters (most of whom who are less well off than you) that they need to introspect about why they are bad is so beyond parody. this election was a statement to democrats but not voters saying they will never vote democrat again. in my state of North Carolina, Kamala lost but 300K+ trump voters voted for a democrat governor, lt gov, SOS, AG, school super, and flipped a congressional district. These voters can be easily won back.

look...I understand why Sunny is taking this hard. BUT have some damn humility. Alyssa is being reasonable enough in outlining very evident reasons why Kamala likely lost.

In August, Joy had asked Brian on the podcast if Chris Christie could come on weekly. I thought it was a joke then but guess not lol The special guest has to be either Kamala or Walz right? Or maybe Michelle Obama. Just can't think of any other time they have done the "special guest" thing for someone not of that caliber.

I was pretty shocked at it tbh. You may dislike Alyssa but she is never disrespectful like Elizabeth or Meghan were. Glad Alyssa ignored her and kept going.

leaving the politics aside....it was simply inappropriate and childish for Whoopi (the moderator) to attempt to interrupt Alyssa multiple times when she mentioned the ABC Poll.... Just because you do not like polling, does not mean you should be disrespectful to your co-host like that. Take it up with Brian or Alyssa in the morning (though I do not think Whoopi always attends the morning meeting). Even if you agree with Whoopi's frustration of the question, she would go ballistic if Alyssa did that to her.

Tuesday is definitely Tim Walz. The campaign announced a media blitz for him. He is doing Fox News on Sunday, 60 Minutes on Monday, a late night show next week and I guess The View! he does super well in interviews (much better on his feet than Kamala) so this is good news.

if you listened to the after the view podcast with Joy. She said she texts him all the time and she asked Brian if they can have him on more. this is Joy's doing lol

The Janet Jackson discussion is a perfect example of why Whoopi the moderator, does not want to moderate. You could tell many on the panel were slightly hesitant to give their opinion or harshly criticize Janet as they would others in front of Whoopi. Whoopi then sort of suggested she apologized, and then said she's not political. Okay? She's a multi millionaire with enough time to read the do the most basic research. Whoopi, if your personal friendships affect the way the show is allowed talking about them when they mess up or say something wrong, you should pick another job. We saw the same thing with her defense of Mel Gibson...fortunately Barbara could fight back. and once again this is not new. she has had enough of these (to varying degrees, not equating Janet to the others) to have a full article written about it. https://www.thedailybeast.com/whoopi-goldbergs-long-history-of-appalling-takes-from-defending-mel-gibson-and-bill-cosby-to-the-holocaust

Whoopi is an EGOT, a legend etc etc (we do not forget dont worry) but so is Joy and Joy can still be humble and is grateful for being on the show and takes it seriously. Let's not forget when Whoopi joined the view, her career and image was at its lowest point. Barbra and the View gave her career a huge boost. agreed, its her way or the highway. Good thing we agree with her mostly but her hostile "moderation" style also has some really bad moments. think her gross defenses of Cosby & Mel Gibson...

I do not doubt Whoopi and Joy personally get a few guests but I do not really believe at this point, she is going out of her way to get guests. Brian and the producers of the View are good at their jobs. Plus TBH if you notice, they share guests with GMA 75% of the time lol BUT they are going on GMA and the View (and not GMA + Tamron) because the View brings in big ratings... not because Whoopi is there in my opinion.. Also re: JuJu..well Meredith was hardly a superstar before The View either. Sara, Sunny and Ana's profiles have all blown up huge since being on the View.

been saying this for a few years but hoping this is Whoopi's last season...she takes up a huge portion of the budget and yet contributes the least of the hosts on any given day... and hoping she leaves on her own so it's not an ugly exit. 1) she does not actually moderate. she begins the convo but that usually involves careless mispronunciations or a cringeworthy British/valley accent. 2) 50% of the topics she acts like she is "above" even discussing (sure that makes the producers feel great lol) and often contributes nothing if it's not a political hot topic. 3) IF she does feel like giving her opinion, she will go on a long rant that no one is allowed to counter and everyone else is forced to clap like seals at. Bring in a journalist who will require 25% the salary to simply moderate the discussions like Meredith did.

prediction: Alyssa is going to ask Nancy about helping push out Biden and Whoopi is going to get annoyed

given that she's friends with a mix of Fox News personalities and Real Housewives are you really surprised her friend group uses Ozempic for weight loss and or would suggest it to her? I wouldn't be.

Future Co-Hosts Talk and Speculation: Musical Chairs

Plenty to criticize Alyssa on but she is not on speaking terms with her father he did not attend her wedding. Her parents are divorced so I'm not sure even sure how close she ever was with him. Plenty of celebs and public figures you all like have repulsive family members I am sure.
