Joy and the twins Jed and Jeremiah are having the graduation party. TV guide says Jana is planning the party...im just glad it's not Sierra for once.

I'm confused... I think I came to the thread too late, what dodgy dealings are going on with Jana? Don't even get me started on the stupid t-shirt... I went on the website store to see what other crap they sell and I found various Duggar kids modelling the t-shirts.

The kidults singing happy birthday to their sound guy. I know it's not great and it's pretty snarkable but hey, Jesus isn't mentioned once and it's nice to see Jana looking genuinely happy.

I just put Duggar in and Boob, Michelle and Smuggar come up alot, one as recent as June this year. As expected they donate to the worst anti woman, anti lgbt bigots.

I believe she would have turned down Derick and Jeremy but im willing to believe he has turned someone down in the past. But then again, would he really turn anyone down at this point? Letting her go would stop all the CinderJana gossip and bring in big ratings.

I keep thinking Jana will just lose it one day. She tries to pretend she is happy but she really isn't very convincing. I really don't want her to just become another Sarah Maxwell.

I'm pretty sure i've seen her do this as well, but it was during a TV interview to promote the girls book. And when the camera panned to Michelle she looked so anxious that they would say something that wasn't Gothard approved. Except when Jill was speaking, she must have a great memory because she never has a problem remembering her lines! I wonder if she sits and watches all the kids while they do their talking heads for the show to make sure they don't say anything out of line?

It's just odd because TLC clearly realised she was a fan favourite and for them to mention every older kidult apart from her (and Josh obviously) doesn't make sense. It's good for Jana because I don't think she is a fan of the camera but I don't think TLC or Boob care what she wants so you'd think they would conjure something up to make it look like she is not just a depressed SAHD lingering in the background.

Jana is the only kidult not mentioned there. Perhaps her new gardening duties are not considered exciting enough for a mention.

Michelle looked somewhat acceptable for Jessa's wedding, she didn't dare pull her attention seeking crap with Jessa but i'm sure she will come bouncing back with something hideously modest for Jinger's wedding, especially as she has been out of the limelight for a while.

I found this which is taken from an early chat with Michelle explaining the buddy system. 'Joshua, our 16 yo son, his buddy was Joseph... But now Joseph no longer needs a buddy Jana, my oldest daughter (14) has two buddies...she begged for the second buddy 4 yo Jason and then the new baby, Jackson awww Jill, my 13 yo daughter, has two buddies...Joy-Anna (almost 7) and James (3). Joy thinks that James is her buddy and Jill is just her assistant to help with James!:) And then Jessa, 12, has two buddies (Jeremiah, one of the twins, who's five and Justin, the one and a half year old). And of course Jeremiah thinks Jessa is just his assistant to help him take care of Justin. LOL! And then Jinger, our 10 yo, has one buddy: Jedidiah, the other twin (5) I really like that buddy idea And then John-David (14), twin to Jana, his buddy is Josiah, who is 8...but Josiah's old enough that he doesn't really need a buddy any longer. Ugh! Those exclamation points! So many!! Im finding much enjoyment in the comments on that birthday post, anything to procrastinate from my work. The spelling of these leghumpers is appalling, and a few people have said ''Happy Anniversary'' so they can't read very well. Then someone went and said Jimbo should teach a class on 'How to be a Godly husband', and I don't think she was joking. But worst of all, someone said they are raising their daughter to be a Duggar girl. That's not even funny.

On the subject of how they describe their kids, I was watching the first specials and watching Michelle trying to describe the 14 children she had at that point was just awful and incredibly sad. Josh - first born leader, strong initiative Jana - can manage a household John - sweet, loving, laid back, easy going, gentle boy Jill - likes things just so, keeps her clothes clean and neat Jessa Blessa - Ball of energy, one that will set the world on fire Jinger - a giver, she likes to give, she is also our talker she loves to talk Joseph - He's a leader, but kind of quiet Josiah -- comedian Joyanna - little mommy Jeremiah - laid back Jed - expresses himself more out than Jeremiah Jason - he's a big boy now James - very busy Justin - mellow My favourite is her description of Jason... but all of them are bad, even the older ones

JD was always the better example for his younger brothers anyway but he didn't see that because Josh was put on a stupid pedestal for being the first born son and getting married to a dutiful wife who popped out multiple blessings.

If JD gets married who is going to trash the car and pretend to lose the wedding ring considering that is usually his role. Also... I know they joked about it but I keep thinking they will really push for Jana and JD to have a double wedding. I can see the dollar signs in Jim Bob's eyes now.

I remember Michelle saying her girls helped her find it. Now, does she mean Josie and Jordyn helped pick it out? Or were the older girls just taking the piss out of their mom? Because those girls have some taste despite the modesty rules and I don't see why they would let Michelle wear that unless it was to laugh at her. Not that Michelle would care because as long as the attention is on her, even if it's for wearing a badly fitting tinman/star trek next gen absolute monstrosity of a dress, then all is good in her frizzy little head.

Her hair looked sooo much better when she had it cut here, but she hated it. But I definately think it's more to do with what JB wants. I'd feel sorry for the woman if she hadn't dropped 19 kids into this mess.

Maybe they have let crazy cousin Amy be in the new season of counting on. She seemed to get on with Jinger, and she would obviously be involved with the wedding and stuff. But that doesn't explain the 10 days filming in LA with that Mob Wives woman.

This 100%. There is definately a lot more to Jana than meets the eye. She never wanted to be filmed, and she isn't stupid so she always said the minimum she had to say on camera, and gave as little of her personality away as possible, and who can blame her. However there are a few moments where the real Jana seems to shine through but it's very rare. Also, if she was that meek and terrified she would have let herself be forced into marriage by now, because we know there have been a number of suitors, all of which she turned down. I think the blind item is far fetched, but if she was rebelling a little bit, it makes sense that she would do this as disecreetly as possible while still appearing to tow the party line. My hope is that at least a smidgen of the 'rowdy' and 'outgoing' child she was described as has not been beaten out of her.

I agree with you about Joy. Also, Jana and some of the others said in the last episode pre-scandal that Joy was the toughest chaperone. The girl has probably inherited some of her sister mom's habits.

It just seems too implausible, and the timing doesn't quite fit. However, people can change, theres former gothardites who got out of the lifestyle that were previously deep into it and even worked at Gothard HQ. I think Jana went to JTTH so much because at that point she probably was into that rubbish but also beause it was the only acceptable way she could spend time away from the family. I remember her being interviewed by someone about JTTH and she said it was nice to get some quiet time which is rare in her house. Then when she stopped going to that she seemed to spend a lot of time at Josh and Anna's. But this gossip just can't be true, however much I realllllly hope it is. Also... I know it's different with Josh because what he did was despicable but it shows that some of these kids could be talking the talk but not walking the walk.
