Watching Sweet Sixteen........it always bothers me that Pa says I don't believe a girl should get married until 18......when Mary was engaged at 13 to be married at 15, living alone in Wanoka 16 and married to Adam at 16/17. If Mary is like 2ish years older than Laura, that makes her 18ish and married for a while. This drives me crazy every time it. rant over.....

The length of the marriage and where they were married would have a whole lot to do with it....Scottland in a Catholic church with strict marriage laws and 10??? years of marriage...VS The wilderness, with few actual laws during a time war and it only last 2ish weeks. And Leery fought to keep her marriage legal.....Lord John agreed that they were no longer married.

So I'm watching the town goes boom....and so many things about this.....you mean to tell me that all those episodes about paying taxes, selling farms, buying property....not once did anyone notice that they didn't OWN the land they were paying taxes on and buying and selling......it just makes my head hurt. Upside next up is the pilot then Harvest of Friends. *It really sucks for the Carters.....they just BOUGHT the little house, so Charles keeps the money and the Carters just have to leave???????

The Mohawk.....quick google.....this tribe didn't shave the hair to form the mohawk, the hairs were plucked and then ashes were applied to the scalp and the scalped burned so that the hair didn't regrow....or so the story/theory goes. So it is possible that Ian had to wear his hair in that fashion, or I guess he could have shaved it bald. Not that this was ever explained in the show.

While I don't hate the names Elsie or Emma, don't they have several cousins with very similar sounding names.......and can't they even have their own individual middle names.......ugg. They are here health and born in the hospital....so good on them.

If they weren't there today, they surely will be gone Wednesday as well. That means I can watch.....do we think MSNBC will notice that people watch when they are gone?

They have looped around to the beginning again today....man I really needed A Harvest of Friends, I love that first season.

I love Roku, I went so far as printing out the episode list in order, so I can plan my day watching Little house or Gunsmoke, by what episode is going to be on. I watch almost all the early ones, and about season 4 I watch the ones I like and skip a lot of seasons 8 & 9, and I only watch the blow the town up movie and the pilot movie.... I have control of the TV in our office, Little House and Gunsmoke NEVER upset our walk in people.

I watched the new movie last night. The New Olivia was on something, and the rest of them were just like so sugar sweet my teeth hurt watching it. And all the pies were wrapped in Reynolds Wrap tin foil for the fair!!!!!! REALLY!!!

And now I remember why I can't stand Elisebeth.

According to IMDB after Little House he went on to college and got his MBA and as of 2003 was a stockbroker, no idea if this is true. It could be that he saw what Hollywood did to his family and just noped out and wanted a regular life.
