  1. One option is Felicity on the run/arrested due to her involvement with Helix. I don't think it will be that because I don't think that would count as a big cliffhanger in Guggenheim's eyes. While I don't think this will be the cliffhanger, but I think this has a strong chance of happening in the final ep (since they talk about major consequences). I think the cliffhanger will be a flash forward. No evidence, just what I feel like will happen. What the flash forward will be to, I have no idea.
  2. I vaguely remembered she said in the notes for one of her other stories that English isn't her first language, so I double checked and that is correct. I'm just reading it for the feels also. I've sometimes felt that Oliver could be doing more to get himself out of the situation, but honestly I don't care that much because it's a sweet story where Felicity and Oliver are both likeable people. Season 5 of Arrow has pretty much put me off anything for Oliver/Felicity that is even vaguely related to current in-show events so AU is pretty much the only thing I read these days. The more AU the better. (FiCoN excluded - I ditched that one a number of chapters ago because I feel like the authors have successfully created a very unlikeable version of Felicity which is a shame since she is my favorite Arrow character)
  3. I find the whole thing odd, but things rarely make sense on Arrow so it is like icing on the cake of ridiculousness. This seems like a way to mollify fans but also to annoy almost everyone? If you just like KC the actor whatever the role, then you're probably good. But if you like KC as BC and Laurel well then she's going to be neither of those things. If you like Dinah as BC then you'd have to be annoyed that another metahuman with a Canary Cry is coming to possibly suck up screen time or horn in on the BC role? And if you didn't like BC or Laurel well now instead of one person filling that role there's two of them - a BC and an evil!Laurel. I have nothing paricularly against KC but she isnt the strongest actress so I can't see her being the season big bad. Which either makes her an evil minion or on track for a redemption arc with whatever illogical actions from Oliver that will be required to being that about.
  4. I'd say it's pretty certain she'll start off siding with Chase in ep 5.22. Then she'll either: continue into season 6 as a baddie, or some how Oliver will make some heartfelt speech to her (this season or next) and she'll turn to the light and season 6 will be about her redemption. My preference is baddie and logically that makes sense, but Arrow and logic don't really go together.
  5. I don't particularly care about KC one way or the other. I'm not a fan of KC or Laurel at all, but don't really hate her character either. Just seems hard to believe that they would keep bring her back over and over and over again if they truly despised her. Or she has the best agent or the best blackmail material in the world. In which case - well done Katie's agent. It seems pointless to me to bring her back, but keep bringing her back they do.
  6. Hmm, so they apparently hated KC so much that they brought her right back again as a series regular. LOL.
  7. After that stuff from Mericle (and isn't she the one who wrote 5x20?), I think 5.20 isn't going to do much more for Olicity than make them friends again, possibly moving them on from romance forever, or possibly leaving them ambiguous once again. Oliver is what, 3 episodes from being tortured and now understands he likes (or liked) killing people? Felicity is in trouble/will be in trouble with Helix. This hardly sounds like fertile grounds for romantic reconciliation. It's going to be friendship all the way in 5x20. I think the flashback sex is 1) another "keep the shippers watching" while at the same time having no romantic forward movement moment like the pointless 5.09 flashback; and 2) an opportunity for the writers to move more blame in Felicity's direction since I assume she slept with Oliver and then rejected him (note - blame from the writers perspective, not me, since I'm 100% on Felicity's side). I think they'll leave their options open for season 6 with only vague hints to keeps the shippers eagerly tuning in for season 6. What happens in season 6? Who knows? Based on the current season I wouldn't hold my breath for anything good.
  8. I really hope that they're going to make this a something untrue said as a result of torture rather than, say, something he liked in the past but he's totally killing people now for honourable reasons cause frankly if he was ever killing for enjoyment, past or present, that makes Oliver ireedeemable to me. You can't change that.much. If you liked killing in the past and you're still killing? Well deep inside you still enjoy it but get to dress it up as heroics. When what you really are is a murderer who deserves to be locked up for the rest of your life.
  9. MG also said 5x05 had a HUGE OLICITY scene and we know how that went.
  10. Yeah, not sure if that is what SA is talking about, but I think Wild Dog and Tinah are very likely to be regulars next season. WD because for some inexplicable reason the writers love him and Dinah because she's BC and the female cast is so small.
  11. Or will keep vigil at the hospital for every second she's there. Paralyzed fiances can be left alone for days on end but I assume Oliver will be fully present and devoted to the girlfriend that basically no one cares about. Is the Oliver to the rescue part just speculation or based on a spoiler? Just wondering if I'd missed a spoiler somewhere.
  12. I'd love Felicity's storyline to actually end up being more than C plot a couple of times and to have an impact on the season, but I have low expectations. I do think they are going to have her realize she was wrong and ask for forgiveness. But I don't think it will be forgiveness about Olicity getting back together, cause I think Olicity are totally done. It will be about Felicity begging for forgiveness for going after Prometheus, cause I think they won't let her actually have a win there. Rather she won't have any effect or will make a mistake and and will have to beg for forgiveness for daring to do something on her own. I bet she needs to be rescued by/assisted by Dinah too.
  13. Yeah, they don't bother me either, apart from the fact that it makes Oliver look a bit like a moron. They'll be done by the end of the season. It's completely obvious she's not long term. IMO, she's just the rebound so when they move on to Oliver/Dinah, people can't claim she's the rebound and to allow Oliver/Tinah to have the friendship (hey she's already his confidante one ep in), before they move on to starting the romance in the final couple of eps/or season 6. Or, alternately if you're still utterly convinced that Olicity still has a chance of happening again, it's so he can learn...I dunno... something valuable about relationships, so they don't fail the next time round.
  14. LOL. So she's already Oliver's confidante. They're already off on their own little side missions that Oliver didn't tell Felicity about. Felicity already thinks they slept together. And we're one episode in. Can't wait to see where they'll end up by the end of the season.
  15. Be prepared to see that pattern repeat (minus Talia) often from here on out
  16. Yes we certainly will. It's a win/win scenario for me - either I was right, in that case, yay for my deductive reasoning, or alternatively, Olicity get back together, and that would be even better.
  17. Actually, never mind. Can't be bothered arguing the obvious.
  18. Honestly, I think a few will be upset, but a lot will be won over if she's decent with the action scenes, especially since she gets a comics compliant name. I'm betting there will be few to no complaints accusing the show of turning into "Dinah and friends", even if she eats up a lot of screen time.
  19. So are we now allowed to speculate about Tina/Dinah/Oliver romance without being accused of being "hysterical"? Probably not. But you know what, I don't care. For me, assuming those spoilers are true, Dinah Drake + "You are my second chance"=99.99% chance they are going to road test a Dinah/Oliver romance. There is a small chance that Olicity will return if Dinah/Oliver is very unpopular, but I really think Olicity is truly over and has been for a long time. I've suspected it since the beginning of the season, but the Dinah Drake name puts the final nail in the coffin for me. Since they have repeatedly stated that Felicity's storyline is separate from Oliver, I predict the season with continue with a very minor touch of Olicity to keep the diehard "O/F are totally getting back together next episode/next sweeps episode/season finale" fans coming back + Oliver/Susan until later in the season + Oliver/Dinah flirting/being "equals", growing closer. Then Susan is gone. Dinah/Oliver have a moment by the season finale. Kiss? Maybe, but possibly not. Certainly they will be growing closer. Season six will likely be them getting together. Felicity will be off having her own storylines that involve Oliver a bit (to keep stringing those diehard Olicity fans along), but not too much. The end. At this stage it's not so much about Oliver/Felicity for me, but the concern that Felicity will be pushed aside and get less screen time - ie becomes the Laurel in this scenario - for Tina Dinah to be the leading lady. And kind of annoyed that Felicity's boyfriend gets killed by Oliver and his reward might be his "epic comic canon romance", while presumably Felicity will end up alone, or with another cardboard cutout boyfriend (not that being alone is a bad thing of course - just annoyed at the optics in this particular scenario). Additional spec: We're finally going to hear Oliver utter the line we've all not been waiting for: "Pretty bird."
  20. I've gave up on reading this fic universe a while ago, but I think there were at least 3 sequels planned - one each for Nate, Ellie and Jules (I kind of dread to think what they will plan on writing for the Jules fic).
  21. Wow they sure are pushing Wild Dog hard. I can't say I've followed his reception from the wider audience eg media reviews, the action fans, the people who are generally praising and liking this season. Do they like him?
  22. I feel like every time a romance fails on a show that writers take away the wrong message. They always think, we should never have gotten them together. eg Moonlighting Curse. But it's rarely the mere fact that they got together that is the issue. It's the story lines they do with them after that point. The writers seem to think the disaster was in O/F being together at all. The problem was the contrived way that they broke them up, not the way when they were together. But yeah, it's always totally because they got together at all (cue me rolling my eyes).
  23. Okay. I'm sorry if I am coming off as antagonistic also. Yes, everyone has their own pessimism thresholds and yes, obviously I'm already there now. Trust me I'd love to be wrong! And yes, I'm pretty much at the point of giving up now anyway, so you will probably have one less pessimist on the board to worry about sooner rather than later.
  24. Please show me where in my post I said any of those things? You said you wanted things based in facts. Those were facts, and my speculation based on them. And I think if you you write in a post "I know this is going to come off as rude" you probably are going to come off as rude? I'm not asking you to interpret the same way. I just want you to stop telling me that I'm not allowed to speculate because it doesn't agree with your interpretation.
  25. That's a good point. No as far as I know there isn't any reports of BC or her suiting up. That could be her arc for the season? Becoming BC and joining the team to overcome her "island". Or evidence against her being BC at this stage.
