  1. Ben now seems to see himself as a benevolent God of Love. I think Ben's fiancee is going to think long and hard about what she sees on the screen. I was dismayed when I heard Ben say to Lauren B something like: "Are you done with not opening up to me?" (red flag: controlling) Men want women who are pursed by other men, not those who admit to having been hurt. Lauren B has set herself up as a "catch" (aided masterfully by her sister) when in reality the sister or Lauren said out of Ben's hearing that she tends to give her heart to men too quickly, and has been hurt. Emily M was the master at making herself out to be the catch of all time.
  2. A Silkwood shower! Too funny.
  3. I just read an article somewhere else where Chris Harrison was quoted as saying he was shocked by Ben's non-gentlemanly behavior this week. Uh huh. http://www.inquisitr.com/2842099/the-bachelor-2016-spoilers-host-chris-harrison-shocked-by-what-ben-higgins-has-done/ I had no idea Ben would turn into Bob Guiney II. I was in shock watching him lead poor Caila on. He seemed to so badly want the women to admire him that he completely lost sight of their feelings. He is shrewd. He knows that if he says "I love you" he's going to get some great sex. Better than make-up-sex great sex. And what is the "winner" going to feel like when she watches this? What a train wreck. But it all goes with my deliciously chilled Chardonnay like a perfectly paired food.
  4. I've been drinking wine watching the kickass Oscars, but this really cracked me up. I had too much Botox once and I found that my not being able to smile seemed to make me more attractive to men.
  5. Yes! Thanks, byTor, that's the SNL from last night! So funny. The show really is a bizarre concept, which is why I love to watch it. Who would put up with a man dating so many others in real life? I'm always surprised the "winner" doesn't seem more upset after watching how her new fiancee acted with the other finalists. (Though apparently Emily was none too pleased after watching Brad. I think he said the same stuff to a couple of the women, like almost word for word. Is he married yet? I thought he seemed... gruff.)
  6. Did any of you watch Saturday Night Live last night? There was a sketch called "Bland Man." They made fun of Ben, and the girls. It's on Hulu, but you may need a subscription to watch.
  7. Yes! I couldn't agree more. Bob seemed to view the women as his harem. I liked Andrew Firestone the best of the Bachelors. He seemed gracious to all the contestants, and sincere about the process. Also, wine. I missed that! Thanks for pointing it out.
  8. Violetr and Yorklee2, thank you so much for the kind welcome! I already like it here! :-) Yorklee, I see that it was already explained but TWOP was a TV message board that had pages of posts about popular show episodes. It was often more fun to read the messages than to watch the shows. :-) Like I said, I do like Ben but I personally don't find him attractive. If he were a dog, he'd be like a big labrador retriever. (I had to look up how to spell that, lol.)
  9. My first post on Previously TV! I have watched every Bachelor and Bachelorette and used to read TWOP. (Why did they shut it down? Didn't they understand how much TWOP meant to me? :-) ) I loved this episode as much as any I've ever watched on the The Bachelor. From Jojo's "staring brother" to the bizarrely wrinkled drapes at Caila's house to Lauren B's hair in Portland (Does she have extensions? A hairbrush?), I wouldn't be able to pick out what I enjoyed the most. (Well, okay, it was Jojo's mom drinking straight from the bottle.) I like Ben as a Bachelor, but I do think that he is being somewhat ruthless leading these poor women on at this point. I think he is basically a kind-hearted guy and had to have realized how badly he was going to hurt Amanda at the Rose Ceremony. She seems to be at a really vulnerable stage in her life. I would imagine she could get online and find a guy in his thirties with a good job who could afford a nanny and wouldn't have to take the toddlers for "a long day" at the beach. I wrote an article for the Huffington Post on my love of the Bachelor and the varying odds of success for the 19 Bachelors and 11 Bachelorettes, if anyone's interested in seeing the stats as far as finding love on this show. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/lv-krause/how-is-the-bachelor-like-_b_8922082.html
