  1. And honestly.... If not, then they themselves are in part to blame. Cause it's not like an attractive white guy with an accent is gonna ever be toxic in this industry. If he doesn't sign on to anything its exactly because he's just done with it. And his infantile slobbering fans are gonna have to question whether they had a part in that.
  2. Honestly Underground on WGN does so much better with US History. Look I know SH is a fantasy show, I just can't figure out why it's 'twistory' became such a defining aspect. It was forever clunky with those flashbacks ugh. And like why tease the history nerds when those same folk are at the very least gonna ask you keep your timeline straight and you can't even pay enough attention to your own writing to do that. Underground is flipping awesome. It's creators are fans of genre and like to look at their characters as the first American super heroes. You can see them get that treatment in the writing. And despite everything being turned up a notch you never once see them use that as a crutch. The history is always treated seriously and used to effectively speak to the modern day. Sleepy Hollow was never so clever.
  3. I hope he dies of like an infection and its painful because he refuses modern antibiotics... just saying
  4. Die Ichabod DIE! i mean he obviously won't but to me its the only fitting end to this spectacular crapfest of a show
  5. I don't know if that demo is the most profitable. But I do imagine they are the easiest to cater to.
  6. yeah but it also was just you know... bad. maybe its improved since the pilot. *shrugs*
  7. The thing about CBS is that it knows its audience and it doesn't really deviate from the formula that often. That's how shows critics hate (ala MacGyver and Bull) can survive there because they aren't made for the critics. They are tailor made for the NCIS crowd. I think FOX has this problem where they think they are serving some kinda middle. They want the traditionally CBS viewers and these other demographics that they see as underserved. But when they create for both, they don't really win over either. I don't know how they didn't think Rosewood was gonna bomb. I remember hearing it was really only doing well because of its Empire lead in and that was a while ago. But then again, they renewed SH and think Lucifer is a winner so maybe unwarranted optimism really is the way things operate at Fox HQ.
  8. Its super transparent what they are trying to do now that CBS has ran away with Friday nights. Fox is betting that the audience that doesn't show up for CBS might tune into FOX's Friday if they offer more diverse faire. But Sleepy Hollow has spent its last two seasons going hard for viewers more at home at CBS and spent a good portion of S4 writing for the Master Chef crowd... so how is that gonna work exactly? It's laughable.
  9. Can't help but wonder how Mison feels about working on Fox's hot new soap.
  10. Eh I still feel for Tom even though I probably shouldn't because it is very true that of all the people standing to benefit from this mess - he's probably second only to the TPTB. Even if SH gets canceled I'm sure he will bounce back. I'm sure he will get offered plenty of roles. Still, after all the interviews I've seen - I think its pretty clear he hates his job. And I think with Nicole being let out of her contract, he lost the last bit of leverage he had in negotiating for less screen time, long lunches, etc. Ratings like SH's don't mean more money for its leads, only with successful shows do leads get that kind of negotiating power. I would bet money the only reason Tom is sticking around is because FOX won't let him go. I mean there are plenty of actors that are happy to meet the mark and basically let the characters just be an extension of themselves with little work or thought being brought to the table. Tom doesn't seem like one of those guys. And Tom has money. Like a modest amount of money but enough that he could quit if wanted and live a decent lifestyle. But working in Britain probably isn't much of an option anymore. Brexit will basically gut the entertainment sector there. :(
  11. *pokes her head in from lurking* eh I was in the navy they totally will take your kids from you if leave them with a guardian they deem unfit. I saw a woman in my berthing have to lawyer up because her young children were sneaking out of the house to play in the neighborhood after dark while their father was sleeping. They went into foster care and she couldn't get back home until the deployment was over to deal with it. Though I do think they ended up with her relatives eventually. I saw another guy get court marshaled because he asked for a day off to go to a child custody hearing (he was getting a divorce and had already re-scheduled a bunch of times and the court was putting their foot down) and they wouldn't let him go cause they were getting underway that day, so he just didn't show up (to the ship). When he came back they arrested him and made a big show of it. The Navy is not family friendly by any means. The first thing they told me when they saw I was engaged was to not get pregnant. So yeah, they might contact you but it doesn't really mean you can do much about it especially if don't have any extended family. Still he is not a great guy for not doing everything in his power to get his kids back once he was stateside again.
  12. Oh! Abbie did call Crane Ichabod but just once as far as I can remember. It was in the season one finale. "I’m not asking for your permission. It’s my turn, Ichabod..."
  13. Ughhhh Five Times Abbie Tries to Teach Ichabod to Drive, and the One Time Nothing Explodes. Is one of my favorite fics ever!! And since we are talking Fic Recs well... This is a list I made back during the S1 hiatus of many of my faves... Really Big list of FanFic recs. And this is a tag full of other's fic recs again mostly S1 maybe a little S2. And finally this tag is full of actual Fic or at least the stuff that I found on tumblr. Happy Reading!
  14. This might be the first I have ever been excited about the possibility of a love triangle. I'm trying hard to imagine the show continuing to deliver on this though. I'm praying they don't mess this up.
