I'm excited for tonight! Per the official dwts ig pics it looks like Allison & Riker are doing something with top hats & the troupe. I saw them on top of a glittery staircase. I'm guessing an up beat jazzy number? maybe? Or jive? That's what's coming to mind when I see the pics.

Val in studio would have been ideal... But I did appreciate his honesty (when he eventually got to the point). It was refreshing to hear him talk about his awareness on cracking under pressure and putting up some sub par freestyles. Glad he knows it and I hope he comes closer to getting it right this time. I can only guess that the hosts of Afterbuzz want to be PC therefore will not actually critique Noah. I think Anna came the closest to bringing it back to the dance though...but of course she's not there. I think they are fans of Allison from SYTYCD and just won't call her out on technique. Mind you I don't think Allison needs to be called out to the point of being embarrassed...but a gentle critique directed at Riker I think is fair. I think next season she will be in for a rude awakening if she get's actual critiques and a partner with no dance experience (ie. Jonathan 2.0).

Yep. I got that....you seem to be talking about everybody... I'm talking about them.

The mind blowing hypocrisy I am talking about is from that particular site and the people that run it. I am being very specific in what THEY have said and how it doesn't even make sense. That is the main point of my post. They've gotten to the point of being delusional with how they apply their logic.

The hypocrisy is pretty mind blowing. The mantra of "Vote for Nastia b/c she's great....it's not about D winning 5 MBT. It's not about the pro." I can't take the message seriously when CLEARLY the issue with Rumer....is Val. Also being upset that Nastia got portrayed as the "cold, emotionless Russian." Are you guys even serious??? (hello Maks, Val, Karina every season). On another season I think Nastia would have had a much easier time getting to the final...but this season she had to deal with: -The patriotic, flag waving fans that usually root for any Olympian probably were voting for Noah (or at the very least the votes were being split). -The memory of most DWTS fans lasts about a week. So one bad edit won't kill your chances of getting to the final (even if it is repeated). -Noah probably beat out Nastia to the final by 1.15% because of the proposal. period. The story of the night was the proposal....not her dance with Len. -Folks don't have a good memory of the history of young gymnasts on this show with regard to placements. *Shawn Johnson was fresh off her Olympic win and beat Gilles by 1% (or less than 1%...I can't remember). So even back in Season 8 it wasn't like the gymnast that season dominated and won, voting-wise. *Shawn in the All Star Season (now several years removed from the Olympics) lost to Melissa "smiles" Rycroft. Again this powerhouse of Olympic voters did not materialize for a win. *Aly Raisman came in 4th. She didn't have the fan votes to get to the finals and she just came off the Olympics. I do think that had more to do with her not being the best dancer though. *Nastia was very removed from her Olympic year. She hasn't competed in a few years. I don't think she ever had this powerhouse of voters that was just going to carry her to the finals. She needed the general audience on her side. A combination of all this is the reason I think she didn't make the finals. IMO.

As soon as Noah got on bended knee I knew someone was getting screwed out of the finals....I thought it was between Riker & Rumer. I want good dancing in the finals. I'm super annoyed that the ploy for votes worked. This show....I swear.

I find this incredibly funny.

Are they putting her in a bad light or is she just being herself? I'm starting to wonder. My overall sense is that she isn't the bubbly chatty type. Maybe she thinks folks will vote for her if that is the persona but it ain't her.

I really liked Chris tonight during the Results show. You know........the second he got eliminated I warmed to him and the emotion. Very sweet. So um I think Nastia ran over one of the producers puppies or something...because she didn't get a great edit even in her Dance Center piece. Derek posted a really long post on ig after the Monday show really trying to let folks know that Nastia was really tired and they basically just got a bad edit. That was what they were both saying during their post show interviews and even in her interview with Erin during the Results show. The edit tonight seemed like the producers way of saying, "nah...this is how she is." Anyone else feel like they are putting her on blast? That usually happens when behind the scenes production isn't a fan of the person.

I would take Julianne over CAI as well. However she isn't above questionable scoring (hence the 7 for the jazz). People will be looking at her with a more critical eye because of who she is...which is fair. Hopefully it will keep her from going over the deep end like CAI. Haha on the post dance interview commentary. He was hamming it up pretty hard that night...he was in rare form.

So it seems like they are done with the All Access live rehearsals this late in the season. I'm fine with that b/c they should just focus on the dancing at this point. I hope next season they will tweek the whole process and schedule and even include pro rehearsals. Ever since Mark made that suggestion on Afterbuzz I've been hoping to see that happen.

Refreshing and honest!!! I'm glad they are just as fed up with the BS from the judges as the fans are. They were fairly spot on in their critique of each couple... except 1. I still think Riker needs to work on his frame. I don't think it's perfect..and a 10 for that quickstep was generous. 2. A "10" for Noah and an "8" for Rumer from CAI still feels liking judging BS. Otherwise they made some valid points on each dance. Haha. I can now say that the entire Ballas family has been my favorite Afterbuzz episodes!

My biggest issue is that whoever the co-host is....it feels like they are just a talking piece for some producer screaming for them to ask inane questions to the celeb & pro. Thank goodness they leave Tom B. alone, because it just feels so natural and effortless coming from him.

From what I've read she was invited but couldn't come because she was in NYC. I think she was mainly doing promotion for her hosting gig with the Radio Disney Music Awards. If she can't do Sway it will probably be due to her schedule and not a reflection on her friendship with Val, I think. Haven't heard of any kind of falling out. They both tweet support for each other regularly also. I think Kelly being asked to perform was also about her being the season 1 champ & season 15 finalist as well as being Val's partner. Zendaya probably would have performed if she was available is my guess.

Ms. Patti and Amber sang the hell out of that song and Lil Kim was great. I wished it was a little smoother with them singing together as a united presentation...if that makes sense. I wanted it a little bit more cohesive but I still really enjoyed it.

I just realized that Nastia & Rumer are the only females left. I REALLY hope they make the finals. They deserve it. I hope they can outlast some of the guys.

It was a fun hour of fluff but I wanted more. I'm no tv producer but I feel like me and a solid group of fans of dwts could have put together something with a little more punch to it. The show felt like exactly what it was...thrown together on a Tues. after Monday's live show. Some of the routines looked simple and under-rehearsed (but still fun and cute). The ending being hyped as the biggest dance evaaa with so many stars....turned out to be a group electric slide. I still smiled because I love the show but there is only so much you can squeeze into a 1 hour show. I did notice the camera kept cutting away to the same group of celebs in the audience. Probably should have tried to get other celebs as well since so many were in the audience and not dancing.

This season is the first time in a long time where I don't have a real sense of where the votes are. I don't think anyone is running away with votes. I think it changes each week. And Tom's cryptic tweet before the show really has be scratching my head.

They need Anna back STAT!!! I appreciate that she isn't afraid to be critical of everyone. Hearing how sweet, and lovely and wonderful everyone is....is sweet. But since the purpose of Afterbuzz is to critique each dance I think they should actually do that. When Suri is the main one giving critiques then your panel is too nice. Episode was meh for me.

I am officially tired of the "theme" nights. Can we get back to a regular episode? It feels like every single week has had some theme to it.

Anna talks about this in this weeks Afterbuzz also. She basically confirms that the music doesn't fit the timing for a waltz.
