In the privacy of my own home, I'm usually braless unless we have company or I'm expecting a service person, delivery, etc. When I go out, however, I always wear an underwire bra, even if I'm just going to the post office or grocery store. When I'm not working, I generally pull on a pair of jeans and a nice top or sweater when I go out, even just to run errands.

I'm retired so I'm home a lot. I also hate wearing a bra, so I keep my " emergency" bra downstairs, in case someone comes to the door. Believe me no one  wants to see me braless.

I get stabby just watching the Pioneer Woman. This is probably an unpopular opinion - she has legions of fans - but her whole perfect life on the ranch just seems so phony to me. I liked her in the beginning, but she just seems to full of herself now. My opinion only, obviously. She's created an empire so a lot of people must think she's wonderful.

I get stabby when she can't top adding unnecessary sugar to everything, and insisting that certain foods are for girls only. I stopped watching long ago.

I'll have to look for those smaller avocados at Trader Joe's. I love putting slices of avocado in sandwiches.

I made the potato salad for our cookout this afternoon. Looks like it may be a cook-in since it's rainy this morning here in the Philly area. Supposedly the rain will be mostly out of here this morning - I'm hoping! Anyway if any one likes to make potato salad, I do mine with a little extra ingredient that's really tasty. After you boil the potatoes and let them cool, cut them up, add some salt, pepper and diced onion, and then add some Italian dressing (I use Kraft Zesty Italian). For 4-5 lbs. of potatoes, I use 1/3 to 1/2 cup of the dressing. Then let it sit for a few hours in the fridge (I usually let it sit overnight). The Italian dressing absorbs into the potatoes and adds great flavor while keeping the potato salad moist. Then I add diced celery, chopped hard boiled eggs and mayo. Really yummy!

I do the Italian dressing trick also, then when cool I stir in a mixture of mayo and sour cream with chopped cukes. I don't add eggs because I hate them, but sometimes a little crumbled bacon. Love potato salad !

I'm been retired for a while now, but did/does everyone still talk or think about "person most likely to bring an Uzi to work?"
There are occasionally someone at your office who makes you think about that.

I too am retired, but for a time in the hospital where I worked, we had a Doc. who was nuts. He was a bit looney, a gun collector and enthusiast, and had a hair trigger temper. We always joked ( sort of ) that one day he would come in armed. I always said I was going to be extra nice to him, so when that day came, he would let me go. It was one of those situations where you laughed, but it was a nervous laugh. He was let go, thank heavens, without incident.

If anyone is interested, here is an 'album' of Pippa Middleton's wedding photos, courtesy TMZ.  Her niece and newphew are the cutest darn kiddos!  Her dress was fabulous!  I wish the style would be come back in style - I'm tiring of the strapless look.

I loved her dress too, I don't mind strapless, if it fits, but the ones where the boobs are trying to escape, aren't whT I call wedding attire.

I used to sing this all the time!!

And then the one where they were running rampant in a hospital:  "Calling Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard....."

    And yes, Shemp!

Where I worked we had a Dr. Fine ( he wasn't ) and yes we had some childish fun, at least the ones who knew the Stooges.

Sounds like MamaCarpeDiem followed in GrandmaCarpeDiem's footsteps, from some of the stories you've shared with us!  Very funny!

I like Bobby Sherman, but after watching "Here Comes the Brides," I was more attracted to the hunky older brother, Jeremy.  Don't remember the actor's name.   More manly. Some of those teen favorites, like Donny Osmond, were too girly looking for me, even in Jr. High.  Especially Donny.  Sorry Donny fans -- I have many friends who LUV❤️ him too!   ?

I had a poster of Jim Morrison shirtless, wearing tight leather pants, hanging over my bed, ah memories.

That show had one of the best looking casts in soap history! Another one with incredibly good-looking people was the original Young and the Restless cast. That show had one of my favorite names for a soap character - "Snapper."

I remember Snapper, my mom always called Snapper's mom " the factory lady" because they always made an issue of it. I had fun one night watching a bunch of old soaps on youtube, and seeing the old commercials was half the fun.

In case you didn't know--there is a forum for Dark Shadows at PTV--with lots of topics. You both have plenty of company in your love for it.

It didn't last long, but I remember being obsessed with " Love Is a Many Splendored Thing". It had Donna Mills, David Birney and Leslie Charleson. I found an episode on YouTube, and it was a hoot seeing it again.

I laughed when I read about your strange crushes. I had a couple myself. When I was really little, I loved Moe of the Three Stooges. Also Bud Abbott from Abbott and Costello. Peter Lawford from Sinatra's Rat Pack was another one. I'm sure my parents were thrilled when I finally had a normal crush on Paul McCartney!

Robert Clary went on to do a couple of soap operas. What made me laugh is that the writers weren't very inventive with his character names. In one soap he was "Robert (said the French way) LeClare," and in another soap he was "Pierre LeClare."

Well my favorite Beatle was Ringo, I think I felt sorry for him because he was the least popular.
