  1. Side note: I'm side eyeing Sonequa's new hairstyle -- long twists. Don't get me wrong, it looks fly on her (I'm in love with both her and her hair), but I'm wondering if that's going to be incorporated into filming...so that the two black women have similar hair...in case there needs to be mistaken identity...for reasons...

I don't have a super long history watching this show, but, from what I've gathered from the soap magazines over the years (I have this OCD habit of reading them cover to cover, even for the shows I wasn't watching at the time), it's not really out of character for Eric to allow himself to be blinded by some readily available, pretty younger woman, is it?

Quite true. Plus, he and Quinn had a brief flirtation (I think they even kissed) either right before or right after he was with Taylor this last go round (so...3 years ago?).

  3. I was packing while watching tonight's episode, so I was half paying attention. I guess that speech was supposed to be Bonnie / Melissa's big moment, but...eh. I've heard her call both of her sons dummies. At first, it was one of those things where she was being a mom and clearly didn't mean it, but these last few seasons when she does it, it's so acidic and I have no problem believing that she believes those things about her kids.

  4. I don't know if I believe that. We leave the show with Sam saying "Mom, mom, mom," increasing the volume each time while they inch through a herd of walkers, but when the show picks up, they act like nothing happened. We also went from day to night in a matter of 2 minutes. These are glaring continuity errors that seems like they could have been resolved fairly easily with a reshoot, but it didn't happen. AMC seems like they're on Saved by the Bell production levels of cheapness, but I'm supposed to believe they filmed 11 versions of the same thing? And what does it matter if they filmed 11 versions if an actor stops showing up for work after a few weeks?

I'm also prepared for the season premiere to have nothing at all to do with Negan and the group waiting for someone to die. Remember how after the dumpster fakeout the next episode was 90 minutes of Morgan learning that all life is precious? They're going to show Enid in the closet, Gabriel holding up the defense at Alexandria, Judith saying her first words, Spencer being a little bitch, Morgan and Carol making new friends, etc. I'm not expecting to see Negan and Lucille until at least episode two, possibly episode three.

The may have learned their lesson from the dumpster fire that was DumpsterGate. I've read Gimple et al say in multiple publications that they're starting off exactly where the finale left off with Negan.

Is this the place where we share who was a confirmed sighting on set this week?

I don't know if it has much to do with people being pissed off. That type of thing would happen even if everyone had loved the cliffhanger. If anything it just reminds me that some take this show too seriously.

I'm not deep in the spoiling community, but I heard that people were making it their mission to find out what happened in a way that didn't happen with, say, the season 4 finale. But this could be some people talking out of their butt, though.

  7. I have no idea where this would go, but Cudlitz was the guest of the Fairly Normal podcast today. It was the podcast's first live one and it was incorporated into Nashville's Wild West Comedy fest, so there was an audience, of which I was a part of. I'm not sure when the cast is going to air, though. Nothing mindblowing was revealed. Someone asked him if he added/changed any dialogue and he said absolutely not because Gimple is such a stickler for that because he allegedly has some masterplan already in place and changing one piece of dialogue would ruin the whole tapestry. Another person asked how much lead time is given to an actor so that they're aware their character is being killed (typically 2-3 episodes). The only thing that caught my ear was the way he referred to Gimple as the current showrunner, as if that could be changing soon, but that also could have just as easily just been awkward phrasing. He's a sweet guy and I ended up taking a picture with him after the show.

The show is being very secretive and filming at the studio a lot to prevent major leaks. A guy did use a drone to fly over and saw the Saviors' cars back in position so we know that some variation of the finale will continue.

The fact that this show pissed off so many people that guys are sending drones to the set to get the drop on them brings me endless delight.

Rick's hallucination is of the whole group enjoying dinner or a meal. Glenn and Maggie's baby is there as is a pregnant Sasha.

    Hmm...

Charlie's return was spoiled for me because Deon Cole's name appeared in the credits right before he appeared in the scene. I'm glad he's back though.

The one time I didn't watch all the way through the credits. I deleted it and came here and that's when I saw that Charlie came back :(

  10. Sadly, the daughter showed up almost right away and instead it was just jokes about "the homosexuals are here!" and telling the fiancé to call her Mrs. Ruby Johnson.

Oh my gosh. Jenifer Lewis was masterful when she struggled to tell finacee what she should call her. The fact that she was trying at all to be more intimate showed great strides in and of itself, but she just wasn't there yet. Finally settling on Mrs. Johnson was both a win and a loss for her, she knew it and it showed on her face and in her tone.
