  1. I think Theresa really started to fall for Brady when he was with Melanie and she was with Clint. She even tried to call the hospital at one point when Brady got drugged by Clint but got turned away by the nurse. Even Melanie blurted out to Brady that Theresa had fallen for him. I'm actually liking this version of Theresa more than I did the Tomsell version because she was such a mess of a character then. At least this time around her character has been generally consistent & not so chaotic like before and she actually has some redeeming qualities while still maintaining some of her flaws. I actually believe it's possible for her to be a good girl/grey character/antiheroine/whatever they want to call her & still have an edge. The problem is that the writers don't know how to write well-rounded characters anymore. Nowadays either they are super watered down & diluted that sometimes they end up dull & uninteresting or the writers take them way too far to the point where they reach the point of no return. It's a trend that has been perpetuated by Tomsell, (and maybe by earlier regimes but I wouldn't know because I wasn't watching then), and it has continued with Griffley/Griffstein and it may continue with Quigley because Higley sucks. Maybe Theresa would have had better luck as a character if she had arrived a decade or two earlier. But the sad part is for all of the extreme hatred that many people have for her, (at least online), it seems like she's the only newer female character that has managed to endure within the last 5 years when so many others have failed miserably. But then again maybe the main reason is that she's an actual legacy character with real ties to a core family and that Jordan, Serena, Madison, Summer, et al., did not and that could be one of the main factors as to why they never caught on with the general audience. I'm not sure if I could use the fact that Jen Lilley is generally a good actress (at least in my opinion), as a factor because the vast majority of the actresses that were brought to Days had decent if not good acting chops & yet that didn't help save their characters.
  2. My unpopular opinion is that I actually do like Theresa & Brady a lot as a couple & unlike many people I actually have been enjoying Theresa's redemption arc. I think she was one of those characters that needed it badly in order to remain viable on the show. I refuse to buy that Shane & Kim's daughter was that horrific without any good reason. Sure there's still some room for improvement but for the most part I think Theresa has shown some amazing positive growth as a character and it's been a joy to see. On the other hand I don't expect Thrady to last at all & I'm sure by November sweeps Theresa may move on to someone else, probably Dario. But I'm going to do my best to enjoy them for as long and as much as I can.
  3. I would have liked to see Jen Lilley get nominated but honestly maybe one of the main issues is that her competition is just way too strong & her peers are probably a lot more popular, experienced & maybe more talented than she is. Also I think another major issue is that she keeps on getting saddled with garbage storylines & writing so it pretty much kills any chance she has of getting nominated, let alone winning. And honestly I have a feeling that she may be gone sometime next year anyway to possibly focus on her music career so in the end it may not matter. It's not like Theresa's a terribly popular character to begin with & maybe it'll be in her best interest to just bolt the minute her contract lets up. I'm sure a lot of people will be very happy when it finally happens. I'm sure at this point she must be desperate to get out of her contract as soon as possible. I mean, who wants to spend the next four years, (or however long they give actors these days), having to endure extremely nasty comments & harsh criticism on the Internet & having to live with the notoriety. I wouldn't. I would run like hell from Days & vow to never come back. And if Theresa does leave I hope she takes Tater Tot & moves back to California to live with her parents. No need to leave the baby with Brady. Besides, I don't trust him to be a responsible single parent & I'm sure the writers may continue the merry go round of women with him. Having a baby will only bring down his game, if you catch my drift. I'm also glad Kate Mansi didn't get nominated & I actually thought there was no way in hell Kassie DePaiva was going to get nominated & I was shocked when she did. I'm sure she's probably a nice girl in real life but there are so many other talented actors than her & I find it hard to believe that somehow she outshines Arianne Zucker, Kristian Alfonso, Mary Beth Evans, and so many other actresses many people consider to be good. Also Abby is a horrible waste of space character as it is and I never found her even compelling & rootable. She sucks period. And honestly if the show has that much of a difficult time replacing Kate Mansi then Abby should just die at this point. Besides, even if Abby does get recast the third round of Chabby may end badly anyway. There's plenty of legacy female characters her age that can be brought back to fill the void. Why not Stephanie for one?
  4. I'm not so sure Theresa & Brady's engagement party is even going to happen. I think Maggie's accident is going to put a damper on the whole thing. Unless Theresa's ring goes missing during the party. But otherwise, I'm not sure. I won't be surprised if they actually cut out anything having to do with the event.
