  1. Just got done watching Evil Lives Here about Scott Kimball. Killed 4 people including his 19 year old stepdaughter. I found it so terribly sad that her mom said she was excited to have been diagnosed with terminal breast cancer because it meant she would be with her daughter again soon.
  2. I actually enjoyed it while I was watching it but after it was over I realized there wasn't a whole lot of actual body cam footage. The other episodes have been so intense, watching everything unfold.
  3. Body Cam last night was kind of meh. The Albuquerque story was interesting but the footage was not, unfortunately. Lots of body cam footage from inside patrol cars where are all you see are dashboards, steering wheels, and windshields. I don't think we ever saw the perpetrator at all.
  4. I can take him in small doses, but ID sure does seem to like him!
  5. Funky-rat, thanks for sharing that. I also have a family member who committed a terrible crime (which I think is part of the reason I watch so much true crime). It's hard to separate the person you knew and cared about from the act(s) they committed.
  6. Hmm...Cederberg & his wife filed a $30 million lawsuit last month: https://www.kgw.com/mobile/article/news/local/osp-trooper-shot-12-times-sues-washington-county-dispatchers/283-618253581
  7. OMG, did anyone watch last night's Body Cam?
  8. Same. I started watching partway through the first episode and then Googled the case and saw it was unsolved, so I didn't watch the rest.
  9. I still can't believe they only got 5 years. 15 & 16 is plenty old enough to realize what you are doing is wrong.
  10. No, not that one (although that makes sense now), the one earlier in the season when they first got to Altura. I remember they wouldn't let Murphy go through and sent him to the lab with Sun Mei, and the intake lady found that bite mark on 10K's neck and Sarge said she did it. But I can't remember if Warren went through.
  11. Didn't she have to go through that intake process? The one that almost rejected 10K? I can't remember.
  12. I wonder if ratings drop when they start putting ASPCA commercials in heavy rotation? It sure as shit makes me change the channel.
  13. Five years for premeditated murder? Jeez.
  14. Ok, I like Kenda well enough. But nothing but Kenda all day yesterday AND today? That's a little too much. I'm stuck watching Homicide for the Holidays on Oxygen.
  15. That "where are the Talkers? Where are the Talkers? Where are the Talkers?" got annoying real fast. And as an aside, how frickin skinny is Lydia Hearst? A size 00? Her waist is impossibly tiny.
  16. Did this girl on Killer Unknown really just say "yeah they lost their daughter but I lost a friend"?
  17. Sure, but I'm wondering if they bought stories like, "I walked into the pantry door" and let it go without much follow-up.
  18. I was wondering that too. I'm not sure what the reporting requirements were in the early 90's.
  19. It really, really bothered me when she said she talked to her mom recently about the abuse she suffered and said her mom was basically like, "I don't remember any of that."
  20. Yep, just saw that one again the other day, on Murder Calls. I'm starting to wonder if we see the same cases a lot because those are the cases with attorneys, detectives, family, etc. willing to talk about it. Did anyone watch Shattered last night? I can't believe I had never heard of that case! Ear in the fruit bowl, ear on the porch, testicles in the fridge, dog running through the yard with a hand. Seems like the kind of case ID would have jumped on a long time ago.
  21. I meant the actors! :) It's like they dragged in whoever was nearby, gave them lines, and stuck them in front of the camera. Another one that sucks acting and production-wise is Ice Cold Killers. And am I the only one who can't stand that M. William Phelps, with his stupid frosted hair?
  22. Yes! Seriously, I've told my husband it's like they went down to the local Starbucks and grabbed whoever was there and said, "want to be on TV?" For some reason I was thinking they used the real detectives in the reenactments, but I'm probably misremembering.
  23. Is it The Perfect Murder? Because if not then they use the most godawful actors they can possibly find.
  24. I don't think so either, Murphy's not actually dead, right? I liked 10K/Red at first, but I have to agree. Not feeling her on her own, she's just not a strong actress. I really liked Hackerville! Now I know why Jason Mewes was at our local comedy club back in September, heh.
