That's exactly why Kitty is a Technical coach. When she is asked for her opinion it is given, but she doesn't get a full fledged vote.

@California Girl kelsey- she's actually a pretty good dancer. I think at auditions she gets nervous and in her head. The two previous year at finals I think her solos weren't really strong because she thought "oh crap, I already blew it." She struggles with confidence in that aspect. She's getting better at learning to let go and just perform. selina- very clean and cutesy. Good body placement but sometimes lacks power. kyndall- I am actually not a fan of her dancing (for DCC style), but she is a hard worker and will go home and take notes to heart. She has soft pretty lines, but I've never seen her as a hard hitter or gotten "wowed" by her. I will say she has persistence and will work her butt off to get what she wants.

Jessika went to Texas state with Kyndall and Selina. I believe they were all on the Pom squad. I personally think Jessika is a better fit than Kyndall. She's extremely technical but has exquisite power and can perform. I was worried about her weight when I saw pictures at prelims, semis, and finals but she cleaned up her diet I believe. Looks good now.

She was in the fan vote in 2014. In the finals episode they actually panned in on her crying when she didn't make TC.

Throughout the year anyone can go to class at kitty's studio. From my understanding if you ask for help she will help you with a solo. I know the girls you see on TV are asked to be there by CMT.

I've said this on other boards BUT YAY CMT DODNT MAKE KITTY THE BAD GUY!!! They showed her true colors this season. Honest, but encouraging. She gives great critiques, and knows how to pull the best out of every dancer.

@woodscommaelle if you saw the most recent episode, they accurately portrayed her. Honest and to the point, but gives praise where praise is deserved. Let's say a woman came into the studio. Never danced in her life, was over weight and not exactly a looker. she would say, "im not gonna sugar coat this, you have a lot of work to do, but you need to do this, that and this. Put in the work and we will try to get you there." She's honest but not discouraging. She would never tell someone that they don't have a chance in hell or that they should give up their dream. THATS what I love about kitty. She doesn't (completely ?) kill your spirit.

@missmansfield I personally love kitty. She is one of the best instructors I have EVER had. She'll call you out, but she knows her stuff. I don't think anyone truly hates her or is actually terrified of her (unless they've never met her.) even if you're not a super star like holly she will support you and have your back. She's honest and will mention your weaknesses, but will always mention and emphasise your strengths.

Caila is actually 21 and has a desk job at a finance firm. I think she dodged the question because she may actually support trump, but doesn't want to seem racist. So play dumb. She's a young woman, but not a child by any means. And poor hunter just isn't very bright. Wickedly talented, but not bright.

I love how they portrayed kitty this year. It's a lot more accurate of how she is 24/7. Honest but fair, and a lot of sass. I know she has a rep on these boards for seeming like Abby Lee Miller but Kitty is honestly an incredible teacher.

Going back to Lindsay...she is a beautifully trained dancer. But if you're going to do an emotional piece (or any piece really) it needs to have emotion and umph behind it. I think she looked somewhat flaccid and needed to dial it up.

I hate that Lochte is being called a kid when he's in his 30's. Once you're about 22/23 (around the time you're graduating college) I don't think you should qualify as a kid any more. Just my thoughts though.

I have seen both Selina and Kelsey through dance classes at powerhouse and Michelle keys. I've spoken the the two of them as much as Tasha.

I think about 5 years ago that outfit would be "oh so cute!" But now outfits are so shiny, rhinestoned and just better. I think the "new" version of Jenna's outfit would be Emily Villareals. Both were nude but Emily's for her body type and just looked brand new.

The California metaphor was only because twigs snap, none of the four rookies from group four are from California. @ByTor is right, I only referenced that she doesn't know Spanish because in order to have grown up/be from Mexico you would have to know Spanish. It is not a requirement as a DCC (though being bilingual helps). It most likely will not be on MTT.

Don't think of a twig snapping, but more of a giant Californian sequoia tree randomly falling over and trampling people. That kind of snap. And, again, coming from a rookie who is at the bottom of the totem pole. From a veteran not matter what year it would be alarming, but from a rookie it's downright shocking. It's not a good look. And I'm sorry I can't divulge everything. But it's difficult when you say "oh ___ is soooo perfect and seems so sweet!" A lot of these girls are sweet and beautiful...but things can get messy real fast.
