  1. Lol my mom has gotten a lot of "small" things done to her face. Botox mainly. All of her friends have gotten lifts, implants or tummy tucks at least, so she's considered the most natural sadly. Even when I was a teenager she suggested I get a ton of stuff done (rhinoplasty, implants, Botox) and I was like "MOTHER!!" lol I have gotten an augmentation and a little juvederm in my upper lip. I actually do have REALLY bad sinuses and my allergist said I have a bady deviated septum and that I will eventually need rhinoplasty whether I like it or not. Sometimes it's honestly just hard to breathe! A lot of my friends (20+) have gotten small amounts of Botox too. It's actually very preventative with wrinkles in small amounts. I wouldn't suggest anyone under 25 to get Botox though just because of you get it to young you can freeze your face.
  2. *none of my business* but I actually noticed Lacey's second year that she looked a little more well endowed. But I saw a few of her calendar pictures and she wasn't very busty. So I'm chalking it up to the bombshell bra. Some people mature later. And again she's what 20? Maybe her body isnt done maturing completely. But it her body is completely unfair in the uniform considering her lean legs and awesome abs. Jealous.
  3. I actually don't think he's had any work done. Maybe a little Botox or two (because everyone gets an injection or two) but when I spoke to him his face isn't frozen or CGI looking. He just has beautiful big blue eyes! And awesome hair. Very handsome and knows what he's talking about when it comes to hair. Lol I'm gonna go look ? Love that he actually responded hahahah
  4. I think Lacey initially looked like a young girl. When she first joined she was 18 and looked all of 14 with amazing lines. She's also a little soft spoken (which is better out of an 18 year old than a loud immature one). I think over the past few years she has grown into a lovely young woman and an amazing DCC. Because she has started so young I could possibly see her as point, but only time will tell :)
  5. Yeah the "tight as a tick" moment looked more like confusion from a misstep rather than a 100% effort sad little low kick. They show her kicks higher in a few minutes. CMT edits so much of some of these girls stories *eye rolls*
  6. I always consider this. In TC they have so much time, but they also teach very quickly. And sometimes (particularly deeper into TC) you're expected to have it perfectly and perform. So there's a lot of pressure if you're just going to dance classes all year. as a dancer, I will respectfully disagree. Just because you're a dancer does NOT mean you NEED to perform. Anyone can take a dance class and learn eight counts. That's dancing. Performing is that extra effort, that extra "wow" factor, that little twinkle in the eye that comes from power and performance. Someone could have technique pouring out their ass but not perform well. Some one could be pigeon toed and hobble on turns and perform. To be a DCC you need both. That's why AMAZING technical dancers and girls like hunter who perform get cut early and people think "why did she get cut?" It's because they are either out performed or out danced. good examples of both would be cerstan, Mandy, Kelli Q, Erica, Melissa, holly P..they can dance and perform all day, everyday, at any given moment.
  7. @TobyBelle definitely not you :) Yuko is a natural performer so it's itty bitty things that Judy would notice. Like maybe their feet are completely together and Yukos were an inch apart or like @heatherrrrz said small arm movements. I also think that they are trying to harp on Yuko details because of the language barrier. I think their insistence on specifics might come off as harsh on TV. With the language barrier it is understandable for her to be a "take home" girl and she's proved that she can go home, sleep a night and come back stronger. Kelli even gave her praise and the next night described her a a "firecracker". I like Yuko a lot.
  8. Cowboy boots give the illusion of flexed feet. You almost have to hyper extend your foot to give the same effect as a pointed toe in a jazz shoe. i think how pretty Kelli Q's feet look compared to some of the vets in this picture shows how great of a technical dancer she is :) gosh I just love that girl! Out of the entire rookie class I just might be most happy for her.
  9. @California Girl I love your description and agree about the 80's thing. I think they need to back to the slight raunchiness. Holly is risqué enough to be enticing but not "good lord, that girl needs a pole."
  10. I remember the early seasons being on a different channel but couldn't say which one. VH1 sounds right, but I could be wrong!
  11. In my humble opinion Megan is thicker. Weight gain can be okay (for instance if kat gained a little weight) but on certain body types you need to be carful. I'm one of them and I'm so aware. yes that's allie. I don't like that angle from the bottom. If I remember correctly she actually has a super toned and cut stomach. That picture she looks bloated and I don't think she was. Ugh angles.
  12. I think Stephanie's legs photograph thicker, but she's literally skin bone and muscle. And she doesn't have LARGE muscular legs, but what you'd expect from a dancer. In person she's just SO small. In person Megan, and Melissa are somewhat "thicker" but again by DCC standards. They look like normal women in everyday clothes. i think overall it's the uniform, particularly the unforgiving shorts.
  13. Kicking is definitely weird in the DCC/Drill world. A lot of the more technically trained girls go up on releve out of habit, but in a kickLINE that's bad because you can roll your ankle and mess up the person next to you (especially if you're wearing something with a heel like cowboy boots or even character shoes like the Rockettes). But solos, or most routines where you're not hooked up releve is expected because that's slightly more advanced than a flat footed kick. I know In Texas the difference is a big deal. sometimes watch colts and bucs when they occasionally do kick lines, and you'll sporadically see girls going up on their toes. ohhh kicking. So fun but such a pain in the ass.
  14. She is a bit of a serious/dry/blunt person. I like her. I feel like some girls can come off as super bubbly and cutesy and somewhat fake. Someone that can have a bit of sarcasm and bite in their personality is always nice.
  15. Lol both Amy and Whitney have a RBF tendency. But I think in the studio some dancers just know what's bitchy and what's concentrated. The two of them are very focused dancers. They're lovely ladies.
  16. Ew. I knew a girl who worked at a braums in high school and she said "no id don't eat there and wouldn't tell anyone to eat there ever. There's roaches all over the kitchen." ? can't look at a braums the same way
  17. I will agree with you the first year Ashley pro auditioned. She looked like a scared bull in a china shop. Just kind of spastic and hunched and BAD kick technique. I believe she fell, kicked under herself and couldn't keep balance. The further she went through training camp, then getting cut and kicking a lot with Crystal Weir on TSD, I think her form was a night and day difference. She still had little hunched thing but her kicking was so much better.
  18. ...well, coming from the person who is in the professional dance world in Dallas we either eat like rabbits or starved sumo wrestlers. No in between. Don't come at us when we're hangry lol. Binge eating is bad but that's how we survive.
  19. Royesha is the main one I remember. I also remember them zooming in on a former charger girl Brittney Vodde who appeared to have tight kicks
  20. ohhhh the kick debate... without a doubt, the Rockettes overall are more well rounded dancers than the DCC. Rockettes are very well trained and have a more traditional audition process. There's height and skill requirements. Even on the audition page for DCC "splits are not required but encouraged" (not word for word, something like that though). They would look at Lacey who can kick her nose with good form and say "sorry not the right fit" because she's shorter than 5'8". They took Olivia Sharber (kitty's ex daughter in law) as a tour girl because she is damn good but a tiny little dancer and extremely well rounded. kicking isn't REALLY that hard. Ashley Pro for instance, though she didn't have any kick line experience, but she always had pretty good flexibility. Once she understood what to do with her arms and feet, and how to keep her balance her kicks were great considering she'd never kicked prior to auditioning. Colby hadn't kicked in about 8 years or so but she kept up her flexibility with yoga. I think that's honestly what got her into finals and while she didn't make the team, was a saving grace while she was in training camp. i think saying that the DCC is about the same as a sub-par drill team is an exaggeration and very unfair. And kelli didn't do a college dance team because she was a DCC in college. Bottom line, yes, the Rockettes have a higher regard in the dance world, but it's like comparing apples to oranges. They require a different skill set and overall have a different performance tone.
  21. LADY YOU NEED RAISING CANES IN YOUR LIFE. The canes sauce...definitely not on the DCC diet. Chickfila is is one step above canes ONLY because of breakfast. "Hi my name is DalGal214 and I have a chicken mini addiction"
  22. I just know she's shorter than me when were both in nikes (I'm about 5'6") and sometimes when she wears heel out she's taller than me. Oh well.
  23. Kelsey lowrance is about my height 5'5". She wears heels a lot though.
  24. Canes sounds good right now. I know those are strips and not nuggets but still.
