In Memoriam: Entertainment Industry Celebrity Deaths
Drogo replied to Kromm's topic in Everything Else TV
@MrSmith that's what I'm saying, his tweet was kind. The other stuff ("you do drugs you're going to die" and the slew of other comments) were made during a radio interview, but have been distributed sans context which is why I wanted to put those other soundbites out there. -

That tweet makes it seem like he was asked about it and just said "Drugs = death" and that's not really fair, either. IMO, Scott's comments are close to the mark on what someone whose loved one battled with addiction and subsequently died too young might say, regardless of the technical C.O.D. When he first heard about her passing, this was his comment on Twitter: And for context, here are all of his interview comments (made while the toxicology results were still pending.) I don't love Scott Baio, but I don't think he deserves the heat he's getting on this. Erin was a lifelong smoker who died of throat cancer, and her body couldn't have been in primo condition after years of alcohol/substance abuse. Fuck cancer, fuck cigarettes, fuck drugs. RIP Erin Moran. -

I was happy that none of these grooms asked if they could kiss the bride, they just went for it when someone said "You may now kiss the bride." Because nothing says "I'm the man you've been looking for and I'm here" like "Umm, err, could I like maybe get a cheek? Would that be cool?" -
I loved the running tablespoon count on truffle oil usage.

Keep the discussion to this season and this episode. Past seasons can be discussed in their own threads. -

That could happen! It is the Gamechanger season, so it should be all about changing the game. -

I don't see that. A major reason they didn't set her up with the music guy (who they really liked) was because of differences in their Christianity (he was a Seventh Day Adventist.) -

Starting this season with a lot more hope than I had in past seasons. They all seemed to be attracted to each other, and everyone seemed to know what they wanted. No 20-something women expecting to marry a Jonas brother. Ashley may not have been blown away by her first look at Anthony, but as soon as the pastor said he loves kids and is so involved with his nieces his stock went up exponentially; Ashley seems to understand that a 6' build and muscles aren't the only sexy qualities a man can have. They each have lots of friends and family and they were headed in the same directions even before they met. I think he's just what she asked for, and hopefully she's smart enough to appreciate it. I think he'd adore her forever, and he'd get endlessly more attractive as they continue down that road. Sheila and Nathan seem like a great fit at surface, but she really seems to have the bar set low for someone who seems like a real catch. She was almost in tears imagining that anyone on earth could possibly be waiting for her at the end of that aisle. (Side note: I enjoyed her friend's "You better accept your blessings, girl!" about her X-rated cake- which looked delicious through pixelation, and I'm not ashamed to say I would have had two slices.) Sheila's parents are very supportive, though her father comes across as a bit egocentric... but Nathan's family, there's something up there. The mother "can't do this"..? The father with constant side-eye to his son's new in-laws? His parents are both alive and seemingly in good health, yet the 17 year old brother is under 25-y/o Nathan's guardianship? Nah. I liked Cody the best of the applicants we saw; not the judge and jury here, but potentially the best-looking groom this show has given us. Very calm and collected aside from that "This is fucked up" (which I want to assume he didn't say aloud in front of the entire congregation?) while he was waiting for his bride. Danielle, though, calls herself a tomboy but seems sort of high-maintenance at first impression. She kept insisting her father was having a hard time seeing his only daughter MAFS, but dude was fine. She's a dietitian and he's a gym owner, yes, but he lives 60 miles outside of the city and she likes walking her dogs downtown and wearing $70 yoga clothes. (*To be fair, I may just really hate headbands across the forehead and people who love them.) -
S34.E08: There's A New Sheriff In Town (Double Episode)

Past extra-votes have put the bar very low, so I'd go so far to say that if the person you voted for actually leaves the game it was a great! use of the extra vote. -

Cirie voted for Michaela in the first TC, Sierra in the second. Cirie was trying to force a tie at that second TC. At that point, she didn't know Sarah was flipping (voting Ozzy) or that Debbie had an extra vote. A tie results in no revote this season, so it would have gotten a fourth (and power player's) name on the table for the unanimous public elimination discussion. -

Khaleesi does not love the two-hour episodes-- she gets very quiet in the second hour. She was sad to see both Hali and Ozzy go, and wasn't a fan of Debbie's antics or Sierra's cockiness. Probst needs 2 volunteers to sit out of the feast: Stupid to volunteer. Never do anything nice for people on Survivor, because then they're like "We have to get rid of that guy who did nice stuff for people. Probst tells Tai and Brad to go sit on a log: I bet there's idol clues over there for them! There's no idols/clues for them on the log: Well that was useless. Debbie pretends to be drunk to fit in: She's one of those people who gets right in your face to talk to you. Right in your face. Sierra the great and powerful leader: She seems annoyed that anyone is questioning the plan, but the plan is stupid. If you really think Hali has an Idol, you have to put more votes on her so she either goes home with the Idol or plays the Idol. Sierra is really scared of Michaela for some reason. ^^And just like that Sierra's logic, math skills, and eyebrows are eclipsed by a fourth-grader's.^^ Hali offers to strip to prove she doesn't have an Idol: That's a weird thing to say to people who you know want to send you home. The Marshall's Spa: Scented candles? In a place with bugs the size of your head? Zeke would rather make a move and go home than not make a move: Yeah but, you should make a good move. Not the one you're talking about. Those are your friends. I like how Troyzan looks so joyful anytime someone whispers a name that isn't "Troyzan" into his ear. Those are some giant white teeth he's got in there. But my favorite, about Ozzy's "Oh No Not I, I Will Provide" argument: I know what he's trying to say, but these people don't even want fish when they're getting food prizes all the time. He's like a guy trying to get his friends to eat kale chips when they have a pizza being delivered. -

Folks, let's watch the tone in here. -
Is he saying there's some connection between Ben and Glory? But what?
-
That game had a particularly evil group of villains whose names escape me ATM.
-
Pretty sure TJ was joking, since my word and $2 will barely get you on a bus around here. I don't know anything about TJ for fact, but Spruce hinted at being a Mason and agoraphobic- I looked it up and found a crazy aunt character- then TJ came forward to say who he thought TCS was hinting at. Typically Villains don't come forward to vouch for or defend anyone, let alone D1, let alone those claiming main-character Hero roles. Again, I would recommend that protection tonight is sent to Spruce or TJ. I do find it odd @SilverStormm that you were worried about getting killed in one post, then asked the Villains to come at you in the next?
-
Further, I'm a little suspicious of myself.
-
If I had a dollar for every time I pointed a clue at one of you, I'd have $4271. We should really start doing that.
-
Record reflects! BTW, I don't suspect you, TJ. You and Spruce are in the current circle of trust. And whoever Spruce's friend is.
-
This bunch covers every digit between 1 and 6 except for 4 (Lisin.) Or Silver -- the only name in the list with six letters.
-
I'm a hero but not requesting protection. If our Protector is looking for advice on whose bum to cover, I recommend TJ or Spruce. Feeling confident in those 2, notsomuch in some others..
