  1. I LOVE your smart, well thought-out post! Many people could benefit from this wisdom. Like my immigrant father always says, GOOD debt makes the world go ‘round. He came to this country with $300 and a dream in the 70s, and has done pretty well for himself. My parents applied for student loans, got ejumicated, and took off. Money makes money and no one ever acquired true wealth and success by socking away pennies. Saving is honorable and necessary, however not at the expense of investing. And that’s what a student loan is, an investment in the future. (But of course there are bad investments in education too! I’m not expecting much of a return on an investment into Renaissance Literature, though while a lovely study, won’t pay the bills or pay off the loans.)
  2. 👍 Hybrid. Both Jersey and Long Island. I was raised in NY but my LBI stole my heart.
  3. Because the agent probably doesn't get a broker fee for renting the house out, only a commission for a sale. She probably told Kody to call and negotiate it himself since she wouldn't make any money on that kind of a deal. I'm sure Kody wouldn't pay her a broker fee. I'm soft-listing my house now with an agent and we're not negotiating her commission on anything but selling. If a potential buyer decides he wants to rent, and I decide to agree, I wouldn't pay the agent anything. The selling agent gets paid by the seller, the renting agent gets paid by the renter. Kody making the call directly cuts out the agent on any deal.
  4. I'm curious about Kody not doing an appraisal on a flood plain. Would a bank approve for a mortgage without an appraisal? Would it approve builds mortgages without appraisals? If he builds and wants to sell, would banks approve mortgages to the potential buyers if the houses kody is selling are built in a flood zone? Flood insurance is expensive, would that be the prerequisite to buying one of kodys houses? Sounds like he flushed 800 k down the toilet if he payed cash. Or, maybe he builds the houses elevated, on pylons, like they do down the shore.
  5. If I don't have the show on my dvr where I can ff through the commercials, I mute every single one. They are obnoxiously loud and repetitive and plentiful. My kids started doing it too. We all hate them so much, which is funny because that's what I do for a living. Lol
  6. Take ALL the likes! TAKE 'EM!!
  7. I can't get over how hard Robyn hit the wall! Being a sister wife does NOT agree with her looks-wise. She looks like she's aged 30 years! And she has no idea about flattering clothes or colors...(I did notice her wearing an expensive Tag Heuer though...that watch is over 1k, even if she bought it used--it's called "Alter Ego" in case anyone cares to google)
  8. Kody is a lousy teacher and Truley is a lousy student. That is one whiney kid and one stupid guy! If I had to teach her to ride a bike, I would run off into the woods, and if I had to learn to ride from Kody, I would never leave my room.
  9. Abso-freakin-lutly! Those two LIVE for this shit daily!
  10. I feel like I remember a scene way back before the Meri divorce, where we saw Kody and Robyn in her house and she was complaining about how much work Sister Wife’s Closet is...she was kind of being coy, and began talking in roundabout ways about why she can’t have a baby right now with Kody. That the online business was taking up to much of her time (this was right after Meri told her she was going back to school and can’t help her with it), then she quickly alluded to not having another baby out of wedlock...like she was scared or something. I heard it. But that comment was gone quickly and talked over and never mentioned again. At the time I thought that sneaky bitch was trying to throw Meri under the bus for not helping her—and maybe she was doing that too. But I definitely heard, if not a direct, clear statement about wanting to be legally married before having a baby, an implication of that being part of the deal. I remember thinking that no way would Kody divorce Meri to marry Robyn, I guess she’s really trying to get out of being pregnant again (it’s coming back to me that it was after Sol was born), and low and behold, look what ended up happening. Robyn keeps her machinations well hidden, but sometimes there’s a bread crumb or two laying around. Or should I say ‘cookie’ crumb.
  11. This is how he operates. He pits wives against wives, and now we see him pit kids against wives.
  12. It really is disgusting. He was ANGRY at Gabe for voicing his feelings, but then his behavior—and Robyn’s—during Aurora’s meltdown (where she gets to stay in the same school!) was sickening in its double-standard hypocrisy and favoritism. I really can’t stand Kody. And his stupid, STUPID wife. And I’m sorry, but I felt nothing for aurora. Nothing but a quiet eye roll. Everyone running up the stairs, after THEY put this in motion.... I don’t know...the whole thing felt manipulative. Love your avatar, SHESHARK!
  13. I wonder if the Aurora Show, complete with Kody swooping her up and running her up to her room, with Robyn following close behind, was because Robyn saw how much attention the kid with scoliosis got last year, and was angling for some personal camera time. It felt like this entire episode was devoted to the Robyn clan. At this point, I don’t put anything past them.
  14. That’s a panic attack every other day. If this is true, it’s insane and something is seriously wrong.
  15. The first thing they should have done is thrown most of their shit into storage, they were TEMPORARILY RENTING. They always knew that they wanted to build. They were RENTING TEMPORARILY! Lol! Why does Janelle need all of her crap in that tiny house? Why oh why does Meri need to rent a giant house??? I cannot wrap my head around their thought processes.
  16. Right! What about teaching your kids that life throws curve balls sometimes and you have to be able to be strong and sometimes you have to roll with it! They are growing future Entitled Victims, where the bad world has done dem wrong! Imagine if every time something doesn’t go their way, panic attacks ensue. How is that kid going to handle losing a job? Or a seriously ill child? Or if someone steals her purse or identity theft? Or a myriad of other of life’s ups and downs. They really are such stupid people. and btw. I remember so clearly being in 6th grade and overhearing a snippet of my parents’ convo about the budget. What I overheard was verbatim: “...then we won’t have any money to live...” and let me tell you, that kept my 11-year-old-self up at night for months. I was terrified that we were on the edge of not having any money for food. What I overheard was an adult conversation about budgeting for a couple of different houses that my parents were trying to decide between buying. Kids have no business being dragged into adult discussions or squabbles. Especially this family’s, because they are made up of imbeciles. I left this show thinking that Robyn seriously has low IQ. Yet she’s running the show.
  17. I had two of those monsters in my basement, and was so happy the day I sold them on Facebook marketplace, and someone came to take them away. you can get them on amazon for about $200. Millions of colors, lots of sizes. I don't recommend, lol.
  18. Plus I think he slyly manipulates them against each other. He’ll ask one a question in front of the other 3, which will make the wife being asked uncomfortable answering honestly. But... they all signed up for this insane clown posse.
  19. Yes. She once said, "I'm sorry you think I took something that you thought was yours, JANELLE." In the most bitchiest way.
  20. And what was up with Meri ordering Christine to call kody NOW?? Bitch, who are you talking to??
  21. This is the episode that truly showed what a miserable cow ole Meri is. I always knew it, but this episode illustrated it beautifully. I bet she’s steaming that Janelle revealed that little secret nugget about Meri making kids put on boots and coats to get back to their mom’s part of the house. If it really played out like that, she’s a piece of shit. Monster. Jealous monster. Mom to all the kids, yeah, right.
  22. This. It’s pure control. She will never make any firm decisions, ever. It keeps everyone waiting, and even sometimes trying to get her to make a decision that would benefit one or the other. It’s a total power play and last night she was FINALLY called on her antics. Kody did a clumsy job of it because none of these morons know how to communicate clearly, but I understood exactly what he was getting at. and did Janelle just discover the phrase “tracking”...ie: She wasn’t tracking...he was tracking...she used that phrase 3 times between the last 2 episodes. I guess “tracking” is Janelle’s new “rock star” 🙄
  23. I’m pretty sure he meant between Robyn and Meri but is too chicken shit to flat out say it and name names. Their fucked up dynamic has been danced for over 20 years. It’s very hard to break dysfunctional behaviors. Their roles that they play are ingrained in their beings. Sick. So much unhealthyness on display last night. I was glued to every minute of it! And what was that little nugget about none of the kids being allowed to go through Meri’s living room to get back to Janelle’s side of the LEEEEEE-HIIIII! (Podcast 😉 ) house?? Then they cut to the outside door and the implication was that the kids had to use that to go to the other side of the house??? In the winter??? What in the holy hell is THAT all about??? WHAT. A. BITCH. She is a mean, angry, awful person and deserves every tear she sheds.
  24. And she HATES being called out on it. When they do, she interprets it as an attack on her. She’s a vile woman.
  25. This should have ALL the likes. You are a great writer and always a pleasure to read!
