I'm hoping it will get more. I'm enjoying this far more than Dance Moms (and I'll watch anything having to do with dance or cheerleading).

I was glad to see the dads in episode 5-I've seen that same phenomenon when dads show up at my daughter's cheer team who usually don't. And the dads just seem so much more reasonable than the moms-Selena drives me crazy, but I loved J.J.

I'm a bit concerned about dancing in those heels-it's not all that uncommon to wear heels on stage, but usually they have an ankle strap and soles that are designed for dance-those shoes didn't look like dance shoes to me, and that seemed like just asking for a broken ankle. I loved J.J., and was glad to see the "Sunjay as underdog" end.

I'm guessing Nia is the only kid in the group who could have sold that routine as well as she did. It was weak choreography and skill-wise (and Nia could have done much more), but she sold it. I Also suspect she was pulled out of a Bollywood-inspired routine because it is a strong style for her, not a weak one. Mackenzie is starting to bring back bad memories of Vivi-Anne.

What bugs me is that Santana probably has a contract and CAN'T just walk away. Not without seriously messing up her chances of working in theater and possibly in performing arts in general. Broadway may not be your dream, but walking out on your first seriously professional gig if you're trying to make it in show business? Not good form. Brittany is still a college student (or maybe a lab test subject). It's a different stage of life.
