What was distasteful about that photo for me is that it was leaked (not by Angie) ten days before the episode aired. Somebody at R&I ought to be fired. The Rizzles fandom, of course, reposted it everywhere. But we shouldn't have seen it.

I'm not looking forward to Kiki's becoming part of the show. There are quite enough characters already. It was a pleasant surprise to hear a male on TV speak respectfully of his female counselor and to endorse her "no dating clients" policy. If Kiki & Korsak means less Angela, I'll live with it. But why is pairing up just about any man and any woman okay on this show, when the two women leads are meant for each other, yet don't act on that?

Jane did ask Logan if he heard what the man and his father talked about. Logan said he was so scared that he put a pillow over his head.

Showrunner Jan Nash was interviewed recently by Lori, ausxip.com editor. Everything's lovely in R&I land, she insists. Sounds like more sitcom on the way. It's frightening how many R&I "fans" on Facebook think any man has chemistry with Jane Rizzoli. Yes, they even went for the p.i. (Every week someone wants Casey--ugh--to return.)

The last two episodes of season 5 will be shown back-to-back on Tuesday, March 17.

TNT neglected to upload the SD version of "Foot Loose," according to Xfinity for On Demand viewing. I had to make two calls to the cable provider before they figured that out. Accordingly, the SD ep was unavailable to On Demand viewers for 36+ hours. That could well have affected the ratings. TNT's fault.

I wonder if they'll flashback to Maura's telling Jane to go do her "gumshoe thing" ("Don't Hate the Player" 2x5). I doubt it. The script is by Ron McGee and this is his first for R&I.

Blame the baby on Janet Tamaro. It was her cliffhanger for season 4. I assume Jan Nash felt she had to keep the pregnancy going for awhile, since Frost's death was such a painful beginning to season 5. A miscarriage is coming, I hope and believe.

I was appalled that Angela went to Jane's ob-gyn appointment "for Jane." I cheered Jane on when she called her mother out for being "invasive." But then, in the cafe for all to hear, Angela made a long, cold indictment of her daughter's emotional boundaries. And then, this being TV land, they made up. But I will remember Angela's controlling behavior.
