  1. This is all so stupid. You'd think escaped convicts would get as far away from society as possible, like those two prison escapees in NY last year. They weren't gallivanting around the town. They were holed up in shacks trying to outrun the cops. Could we have even a small amount of realism here? I'm willing to suspend my disbelief to a certain point, but c'mon. If they were truly hellbent on revenge, they would have made it quick, shot some people and gotten the heck out of dodge. Then the Salem PD's personal Barney Fifes (Hope and JJ) could spend the next year trying to catch them. The whole plot is messy and makes no sense. First off, why didn't Gomer Pyle Clyde seek revenge on Kate when she broke up with him in the first place? As I recall he seemed to let it go. And why is he hesitating to kill her? He's always been a total psychopath who has no qualms about hurting people, so this pussyfooting around is ridiculous. Does he think Kate is going to forgive him? Why are Kate, Marlena and Claire walking around in empty alleys anyway? And after asking for a panic button, Kate walks away, seemingly unperturbed about the fact that she almost got her head blown off. Orpheus thinks Steve's dead, so what's the point in keeping Joey alive? And a truly crazy criminal probably would have shot Joey in the eye like he said he should do. Claire leaves me speechless. Ship her to Hong Kong, please!! I swear, I made up better storylines with my Barbies when I was a kid. Maybe it's my personal frustrations coming out, but yesterday's show really stunk.
  2. It's still supposed to be September but these guys are walking around in flannel shirts and knit hats like it's December. That was good for a laugh. At least Orpheus managed to get Xander to shut up for a moment. Xander reminds me of a rabid dog frothing at the mouth. He's completely off his rocker, just like Ben. The charades scene had me laughing out loud. If you want to talk about a funeral parlor, the Horton living room is it. It's bright, but nothing ever changes and it could use a few updates. Maybe a new color on the walls other than Dijon Mustard Yellow? This no signal nonsense really has me scratching my head. Did the three stooges knock down the cell tower or something? Maybe they did and I missed it. I was kind of zoned out for some of the episode.
  3. Sometimes I have crazy fantasies of a deus ex machina type of event where the Borg from Star Trek come down and zap all of the repulsive characters from Salem. I want to see Victor shaking in his boots along with all of the other trash that's collected in Salem. Yeah, that sounds nuts, but it's fun to imagine all of them getting what they deserve.
  4. It's so ridiculous watching everyone holed up at the Kiriakis mansion, just like Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians. They mentioned the Corleones and that made me realize how ridiculous this is. A big crime family like the Kiriakises are brought to their knees by a couple of dimwitted felons? (Orpheus is more of a threat, so I understand being careful about him.) This is why soaps are so annoying. They can't just wipe these guys out in a week or so. They have to drag it on for eternity. I would love a scene where all three criminals are shot like in the Godfather's baptism scene. Ah, that would be so satisfying. They need a real Mafia family on Days. One that truly doesn't mess around with insignificant little pustules like Clyde and Xander. (Oh my gosh, I hate Clyde so much. Xander too, but Clyde makes me want to punch a hole in my screen. And I hope they never show that lunatic neanderthal son of his again.) Oh, I loved Kate and Victor too. Why they broke them up is beyond me. They were perfect together.
  5. Nope, I fully agree. I really don't care what Theresa did to Xander, as long as it landed him in prison. He's an inbred, good-for-nothing scum and I had hoped to never see his fugly face again. Victor didn't even seem phased that his recuperating wife was ready to take a bullet for him. He just looked like it was another day at the office. I'm just going to bask in the warm light of KdP's acting. You can tell she's a nice person because it just radiates onto the screen. Now that she's finally free of that crappy JJ storyline, she can truly shine. I'm just so sad she's sick and won't be able to continue. :(
  6. Ding, ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! You called it. This was just posted on the Days Dish Facebook page: http://soaps.sheknows.com/days-of-our-lives/news/48622/kate-mansis-infatuating-role-in-lifetime-thriller-unwanted-guest?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=editorial&utm_content=554621538
  7. I have been thoroughly enjoying the siesta from Days. My husband once again asked me in a puzzled way why I continue to watch when I obviously dislike it so much. I keep thinking they'll bring in someone new and pique my interest again, and if they do, I want to be current. It happened before when they brought Carly back. Maybe I need to abandon hope at this point (pun intended because I'd like to leave her behind too).
  8. DJ Wear has to be one of the corniest things these writers have come up with yet. Seriously, DJ Wear? They weren't even trying when they came up with that one. Somehow all I can picture are turquoise 80s sweatsuits with white rope cords on the pants. Top it all off with leg warmers and LA Gear high tops.
  9. That promo seriously depresses me because I have a feeling Xander will kill Theresa. I was really hoping they wouldn't bump her off and leave an opening for Jen Lilley if she wanted to come back, but knowing this show, it won't happen. I also don't want to see Clyde or Xander ever again. This Orpheus fellow looks interesting though. Some people were saying Days may not even return after the Olympics. What do you all think?
  10. I saw this Kate Mansi movie posted on Days Dish today. The trailer tells you the entire story and I watched the same exact thing on Netflix years ago only with different actors. The Unwanted Guest...tee hee! http://www.marvista.net/Details.aspx?id=aa1cdf78-12dc-e511-9487-0e563b5fb261
  11. Are we allowed to discuss former Days actors on here? I can't hold this in any longer. I just saw a recent photo of Crystal Chappell and my gosh...what in fresh hell has she done to her beautiful face? Carly was always my favorite character and she had such nice features and now her lips are swollen and bloated. I'm not against a little work if it's done well, but that's not the case here. Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. Deidre Hall looks 100% natural compared to this.
  12. Salem is like a very unfunny version of Gary Larson's The Far Side. Virtually everything and everyone is crazy and makes no sense. So yeah, widdle whiney baby Jennifer will get custody. We wouldn't want a Horton to have their little feewings hurt. A former addict baby taking care of a baby! Now that's a recipe for success.
  13. I think if it was Summer she's already handed him over by now. There was that brief scene where a woman was at her hotel door. JL is really convincing and doing an amazing job. She deserves a prime time role. I don't know what I'll do when she's gone. It seems like Deimos isn't getting as much air time and I'm so sick of Hope, Aiden, Rafe and that horrid Jennifer. And Doug and Julie can shove off too. What a couple of cornballs.
  14. It pained me to see Kate acting so pathetic today, kissing Deimos's rear. Why do they insist on writing her this way? Jennifer's face was hard to look at. She was so whiny and irritable and making that scrunched red face. Did she miss her nap or something?
  15. There's a Stevie Nicks song where she somberly sings a line that goes, "on and on and on and on again." She sounds so tired in it (and I think that's the point of the song) that she reminds me of Ciara's acting. In the video she's at a table full of men who are slumped over and covered in cobwebs. I feel like this song and video encompasses DOOL in every way. It's just a daily monotony that goes on and on and well, you get the picture, and the fans are the men at the table covered in cobwebs. (I feel unclean comparing the wonderful Stevie to DOOL, but it did sort of fit.) I present a still to illustrate what I'm talking about:
  16. Sorry about the double post, everyone. I have no idea what happened there.
  17. I suppose today we'll get more of Aiden. I used to like him (although it took me awhile to warm up to the character) but after the thing with his wife, I was unsure. And now that they've turned him into a sleazebag, he needs to go. You ruined it, Days. Cut your losses and send Aiden packing. The Nicole/Deimos scenes were slightly disappointing to me. I really loved Chloe with him and this is going to be a hugely unpopular opinion, but lately Nicole's been grating on my nerves. Can the writers ever make her anything but a victim? When can she ever just have some peace in her life? She can get slightly whiny at times and that's what bugs me. *dodges flying tomatoes* Still, I'll take any scene with VI that I can get. He is amazing. Could someone please put Victor in a shipping crate and send him to an unpopulated island somewhere? I didn't like Theresa being bitchy with the nanny, but she is so undeserving of his constant wrath and abuse.
  18. Weird is an understatement. I need a translator to even understand what they're saying. They can't punctuate or spell for the life of them. You've also got to love how the mods delete anything that is even the slightest bit critical of an actor. Thank goodness for the freedom to express ourselves here. I left the other board after a mod wouldn't tell me why my post was deleted. Anyway, Kate makes no sense. I really think she was mostly playing herself. Abby had as much complexity as a peanut butter sandwich.
  19. I also don't understand the point of the mask now. They had the perfect opportunity to use that as a way to explain Abby's new appearance and they don't? Even a chimp could figure out that the mask was the way to go as far as KM leaving and the new Abby eventually coming in. I truly enjoyed Deimos and Chloe together and am disappointed they're going back to the stupid Helena/Nicole storyline. He was great with Parker and he and Nadja seemed to have some natural chemistry. These writers are asleep at the wheel.
  20. ^Speaking of tired, the instant Ciara appears on my screen, I become drowsy. Her voice would probably be very good for insomniacs to listen to. It's just so devoid of everything - there's no emotion there either way. I realize she's young, but there are other options out there. The girl who played little Ciara did quite well. They need to face the fact that they destroyed Aiden. Who's buying this storyline? Just looking at his face after everything that happened would give me a panic attack. Add this whole mess to the sketchy story about his wife and I'd be running in the other direction. I was a fan of him before they ruined him too.
  21. Tonight I visited one of those other boards and someone on there was saying what chemistry the baby playing Thomas had with Kate Mansi. Am I missing something? I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone because that baby never seemed happy in 90% of his scenes with her.
  22. Someone needs to have a quiet word with Abby and break the news that she's a pyromaniac. Why the heck is Matt Fielding's dead lawyer her doctor anyway? Oops, screwed up my soaps. I have a thing for Melrose Place.
  23. She was fine until she started babbling to Phillip. That part was cringeworthy. Maybe JPL had an effect on her acting that day.
  24. I realize it's got to be tiring trying to give decent performances with such schlock writing, but LK had me laughing today. To be fair, I started laughing when I heard Abigail is at "Shady Hills" (anyone else hear "SHADY PINES, MA!!!" ring through their head?), but Kate's sniveling was really something. It was equal parts amusing and uncomfortable to watch because of how bad the acting was. Poor LK. I like her and think she normally does a great job. Days has to be soul-sucking.
  25. Today's episode was a bust because I couldn't care less what happens to Joey Johnson. I enjoy Steve and Kayla together, but throw Joey in there and it just becomes a spoiled dish. A paramecium has more going on upstairs than that dope. I knew that beautiful Bo and Hope episode was a one-shot but boy did it make me long for the 90s (never watched it in the 80s but it looked great from clips I saw). My husband said he can't wait for the Olympics and I said, "Me too! I won't have to watch Days!" He couldn't believe I force myself to watch garbage, ha ha! (And to be fair I can't wait to see what Simone Biles does in gymnastics.)
