  1. Is there a believable reason that you could give me behind why he would lie? Your favorite house doesn't necessarily the one you enjoy writing the most on. Like Benioff enjoys writing for Cersei the most but his favorite character is Sansa according to himself There are also limitations to writing about House Stark versus Targaryen. Namely that House Targaryen history would cover all the continent of Westeros rather than just a select region and it's all concentrated within 300 years versus the thousand of years of House Stark. My personal view though is that GRRM loves the current Starks the most in ASOIAF the most as a House but loves writing about the historical Targaryens the best.
  2. Jon's not an absolute monarch. His vassals hold sway. Even Robb knew that they could unmake him King if he did things they wouldn't like.
  3. Actually according to GRRM, House Stark is his favorite house although I think House Targaryen is a close second.
  4. I could believe Bran is capable of intimidating her or anyone really. I mean he's near omniscient and can control people.
  5. I don't think it is problem for GRRM's story because Bran's powers are going to likely be involved heavily in the conclusion and what comes after part of the story. A lot of lazy theorists don't know what to do with Bran so they jump to killing him off.
  6. In the books, it's made that clear that this prophecy really was about Rhaego, Dany's dead son. We even see a vision of what could've been if he had survived.
  7. https://www.oddsshark.com/entertainment/game-thrones-prop-odds-bet-who-will-be-ruling-westeros Bran still the favorite with over 50 %. Jon is in second.
  8. That's not actually true. GRRM has said this about the incest: GRRM: The Targaryens have heavily interbred, like the Ptolemys of Egypt. As any horse or dog breeder can tell you, interbreeding accentuates both flaws and virtues, and pushes a lineage toward the extremes. Also, there's sometimes a fine line between madness and greatness. Also House Baratheon may stay dead. Edric may not be legitimized
  9. You have to analyze it from the whole story at large. MMD's prophecy is a paralle to Maggy the Frog's prophecy. They're both imo prophecies of both their demises. Cersei dies once her children all die first and Daenerys dies once she brings a living child into this world.
  10. Not random. The woman is a witch. She has credibility. And most prophecies do come true in one way or another.
  11. Jaime is younger than Cersei, yes.
  12. They would be doing something about Friki if that were true or have done something when the betters correctly predicted Queen Cersei at the end of last season.
  13. GRRM doesn't believe in "true" love as in there's only one person in th world made for you. He makes this clear in A Song for Lya. Love exists and all but people move on and find someone else to love when they can't be with the one they love anymore. -------- One other thing, Daenerys thinks about Drogo quite often in the books and it's made that clear that she misses him a lot and wears the white lion cloak that smells like him for comfort.
  14. Bad writing probably. I'll wait to see how GRRM writes Bran-God to judge how I feel about it all.
  15. Bran mentions in season 7's draft scripts that House Stark and all their petty power struggles don't matter. Only stopping the the White Walkers from killing everyone matters so he must care about humanity as a whole if not the individuals. I can't see King Bran happening without the magic. He'd just be a super smart but crippled 11 year old in the books. No one would follow him besides the North.
  16. Good points but Winterfell is being burned down next season. If the godswood goes with it then Winterfell is dead as the godswood is the heart of Winterfell. So I would expect the Starks to stay South. The King in the South?
  17. Well if you want to believe Feldman and GRRM's approval of him, they're not learning arcs. GRRM is just using them as an exploration of power and their character. It'll probably be a Stark triumvirate if that stuff is true. Sophie said something like "Sansa and Arya now realize they work very well together and Bran too. It's kind of a threesome. They make the perfect unit "
  18. King Bran now has a 60% chance at Bovada. -150 = 60%. Daenerys has dropped drastically to even below even Sansa, Tyrion and the Night King.
  19. It ends the same way. Brienne is still single at the end even if she does bang Jaime but I don't think it's going that's at all. You're more likely to see the climax of that relationship being Jaime knighting Brienne rather than them banging like animals until Brienne gets pregnant. But it could happen.
  20. Well Jaime x Brienne isn't happening either. Jaime's going to die. It's likely that Brienne is going to be single at the end.
  21. And when the shadow sword sliced through the green steel gorget and the blood began to flow, she saw that the dying king was not Renly after all but Jaime Lannister, and she had failed him.
  22. It won't happen. Brienne doesn't like him and the actress makes it clear that Brienne doesn't like Tormund. Tormund x Brienne is just a funny joke to the story
  23. Bran them all. But yeah, it'll be exploited more in the books. The problem with Bran is that he's an extremely introspective character and half his character revolves around him being crippled and the other half revolves around being a little kid who believes in fairy tales. Like Bran's other primary characteristic is that he doesn't want to be Bran so he tries to escape into being others like Summer or Hodor. So once you lean away from the youth and escapist elements of the character, you don't actually have a character anymore. Bran stopped being an actual character by season 3 once Isaac hit puberty. And ever since then, they've been reducing his screentime because the show isn't interested in a Bran that's not young. They probably should've cast for a book age Bran in this case or have Rickon's actor play Bran.
  24. Sophie Turner just confirmed that Sansa's hairstyle this season isn't influenced by anyone. Instead she's her own person now. There goes that Daenerys/Sansa friendship based on similar hairstyles https://www.instyle.com/hair/sophie-turner-hair-color
