  1. I haven't been on the Piper hate train. I'm more just "meh" about her. But damn, that last scene was terrifying. I had to turn the volume down and watch it with my hand halfway over my face. Yikes.
  2. That was was just - ew. It was very clunky acting and just unnecessary to look at two characters that I don't care about having awkward icky sex. Not as bad as the art gallery flash, but a close second. I heard Amazon canceled it but they're shopping the show elsewhere. I would watch a season 2 if it can find a home.
  3. I am seriously considering attending this as well. Hoping to get with a group to bus there from WI. There are people trying to organize it on Facebook. Here is the national page, and then there is a page for each state for more specific organizing.
  4. Yep. This is my biggest WTF takeaway from these results.
  5. Ha, yeah, we got a taste of it with really high turnout in April. My plans for Wednesday involve nothing but the TV and cat. :)
  6. That new catcher is not going to work well with Ginny...
  7. I'm still in, but thought this episode was pretty meh, especially the Blip subplot. I like the actor but he has no chemistry with his wife. Maybe she should really go for Mike Trout. :-P
  8. Yeah, this drives me crazy too. Sometimes they do actually crash, so I'm always bracing myself during those scenes.
  9. Friday Night Lights never got great ratings. Hopefully they give this one a chance as reviews and word of mouth have been overall positive.
  10. From a power aspect, yes, and that matters a lot. But I could see a woman succeeding as a slap-hitting, Ichiro type hitter. There's plenty of skills, like contact and pitch recognition, where physical strength isn't a factor.
  11. That was me, and yeah, that's possible, but it's not unusual for the team's more highly touted prospects to get an invite to big league spring training, even for just the first few weeks being sent to minor league camp. And if she was on the 40-man roster (which after five years that's probable), she would've had to be in big league camp for at least part of the time. Gotta keep reminding myself it's just TV! :)
  12. And Mo'ne Davis has chosen basketball as her primary sport and aspires to be in the WNBA, which underlines the point made in your first paragraph.
  13. I hope they do address it more, so much depth potential.
