Conspiracy theory for those of us just mad about delayed release of this Ep on iTunes/amazon: Quality Control. We brought it on ourselves by nitpicking the discrepancies about Group 4 leadership announcement across the versions and going into overdrive about "but what does it all MEAN??" re Erica. lol. Heads might've rolled and double checks and triple checks will be made and it will now be daaaaays before release...

Lol, I'm still annoyed by the erasure of the original leadership set up of group 4, even though I think it's simply injury with Erica. If Erica is appearing annoyed or passive aggressive at all, it may be that she wanted to continue but not have to do the kick line/jump split; (exceptions have been made in the past eg Loni) and K&J were "nope". And maybe Erica's annoyed about her group leader announcement not being shown. Fair enough.

The truth with Erica is probably far less interesting than the conspiracies - with a back injury like what has been reported above, I'd be surprised if she's ever able to jump split again.

It will certainly drive ratings for the show...

I think Brennan's issue is that the underlying muscles in her face make her mouth look almost like a snarl, or that she's baring her teeth, when she tries to smile. There are speech pathologists that prescribe face/mouth/tongue/jaw exercises that can help to balance this out.

I'm starting to wonder what the point of watching the show actually is, if they aren't showing things as they really are. The group leader manipulation takes the show into the realm of fiction. (Obvs "reality tv" is like that... but I was thinking MTT was more docu-drama, not outright made up cover ups). Which makes it just a formula - same storyline, same lines, (I mean - Kelli-ism bingo!) every single year - just different girls. I've seen it all before. Boring. I've purchased this season on iTunes, so I'll watch the rest hoping that we'll see some of the real drama unfold... but if none of the actual drama can be screened, I think I'll switch off after this one. I'm not mad... just growing indifferent. I'm obviously not in their target market...?

I was trying to figure out how to take just a screenshot of the moment that Judy runs through the 4 leaders and then says "Erica" - because on second watch - it's Kashara on screen being hugged by her teammates, with the audio still being the original with all the girls cheering after Judy announces Erica's name ? 1. Can't figure out how to reduce the pic size to paste in here; 2. Filming - I wouldn't have a clue how to upload!

Yep - I'm not in the US so I have to watch on iTunes. It only just got uploaded there - so I'd already read this thread before watching... so you can only imagine my surprise when it was Judy's voice saying ERICA... however, the girl shown on screen at the time was - dun dun dun - Kashara.

Cut nights: I wonder where the girls will hang out this season when waiting for those who were called into the office. Surely in that sparkly new building they're not going to be relegated to the car park like at VR. But the car park *did* have a certain 'ambience' in those scenes.... ?

I have to admit, my first reaction to the shape differences in the leaders pic was a bit - eek - But the more I think about it - diversity of shape on the squad is such a positive thing. The girls are all insanely fit. I hope that Kashara isn't experiencing any body shaming over her natural shape, and is as confident as any other girl. Every year during uniform fittings Kelli says her piece to camera about the huge range of shapes and sizes they fit... it's great that although they have moved to leaner and leaner figures since the jumbotron happened, that there's a place for much curvier girls. (Who are nevertheless still absolutely tiny and incredibly fit). I love Kashara ?

I don't think the squad photo has even been taken yet. I believe it was scheduled to be taken on August 22 this year - super late!

Shout out to Charlotte for being the best dressed I've ever seen her. Buy that shift dress in every colour. Plus back ups. And have a tailor make some more.

@Dcc fan I feel your pain. However, maintaining a US iTunes account is as simple as purchasing a gift card valid for the US iTunes Store. You then set up the account with the gift card and do not need a credit card. Of course you do need to log in and out at the bottom of the iTunes Store screen to switch between your regular account and the US one to download the episodes, but it's great for searching for music and books and other things that aren't offered on your own country's store too. ETA the gift cards are offered by lots of different providers online and on eBay.

I think we are all getting a bit hysterical and swept up in the axe for them all... ? I'm pretty sure someone upthread was hoping that Erica was still around - given that Kashara was promoted to group 4 leader - and speculated that Erica had replaced Jenna as group 1 leader. i think I need a drink

Welcome! That is true commitment - a great read to catch up. I haven't been posting much lately up until the last week or so, just lurking. The ladies/peeps here usually say all that needs to be said!

Wow! I just clicked through to see Madison's backstory. I can't wait to see her back next year now. What a lovely girl.
