OMG. Had this long though-out post and the forum timed out when I went to post it. Rookie mistake. Prepare for some incoherent babbling. It's going to be a stream of thoughts. Sorry if it doesn't make any sense. Every time someone mentions about how they're a bad fan or how somethings are unfair. It drives me insane. You are not a bad fan if you can' afford some of these things. You're still watching their videos. spreading the word about them etc. How does that make you a bad fan? Pretty sure they'll be happy if you enjoy their music. Money brings so much drama. So many petty arguments online especially about Patreon and their clothing. Does it matter if you see their video 12 hrs later? You'll see it along with the rest of the world. The spreecasts are done every month, some artists don't even have livestreams unless its a special occasion or for some media thing. Some patrons are nice enough to upload them for those who can't watch it. PTX can spend whatever they want on their clothing if it makes them happy. Just looking at them now, they're more confident and have found their style. If some offers to buy a song/album/doco, which is the best thing about this fanbase, be happy about it. Stop being so negative. It was embarrassing when Jeremy offered to buy a fan CSL but he/she went on and on about how he knows he/she is a terrible fan. Why would someone say PTX doesn't care about their fans just because they don't get some special edition. They care. These special international editions are for the fans overseas who don't get the special perks that we do here in the US. PTX also tours a lot in the US whereas they can't go to every city in the world in a year. Hypocritical when you complain how the Shazam/Skype contest isn't available to international fans and then complain that they get 'everything.' Just be happy for them! People need to also stop complaining about how they aren't getting 'noticed' by them. They see you, they don't have time to respond to everybody. The PTX crew are pretty open online and interact with the fans a lot. As their fanbase gets bigger, hope people don't start sending dumb and stupid things as seen with other artists. Be nice and just be happy for their success people! (Rant over. Sorry again. Needed to put the words somewhere. Been avoiding all this drama on Twitter. It goes in circles.) Labels have been doing this with other artists ever since the digital market popped up. Sadly, it's a marketing ploy to bring in the $$$. With the various versions here in the US, dedicated fans will be buying. There's only 3 versions here right? Normal, Deluxe & Target. It can also gauge the digital and physical copies sold but that's pretty much useless nowadays. The international versions are nice for those fans. Happy for them, especially with some friends overseas who have never seen PTX. If you can't hear one of the exclusive songs, it's bound to end up online somewhere.

Yes! Japan has a huge fanbase. There's heaps of promo and PTX is heading over there in November. Plus they get an extra 2 songs on the deluxe edition (22 in total). Extra songs are 'Love You Long Time & OMWH live.' They also get the documentary DVD with their purchase of the deluxe edition.

Sing! This is cool incorporating fans into their video. The peeps on Twitter are confused as to why only those living in the US/UK/CAN are allowed to submit videos. Understand the branding, age restrictions etc but they have thousands of fans overseas. Either they don't want too many videos to sift through or there is some weird legal thing. It was mentioned briefly in one of the earlier spreecasts when someone just discovered it and they weren't that enthusiastic about it, just said it was cool. The game flopped but they are definitely credited in the game. It's in the bottom right hand corner when you start playing. There are 14 versions of this. They range from the full band to just the trio, Avi & Kevin by themselves or together. It was most added on impact week. Personally have heard it a couple times on Z100 but it's not on high rotation whereas SiriusXM Hits 1 plays it constantly. Depends on the station, they're still adding, now they just have to play it. Slowly climbing the charts. RCA is doing their bit, think PTX just needs to go out there and perform it. Heard chatter that they might be on Jimmy Fallon. Album is 3 weeks-ish away, promo might just ramp up. Really like their take on 'Where Are Ü Now.' Both versions are great but PTX's slower, moody version evokes emotion. Press loves it, lots more coverage than usual.

The decline in Youtube views can be attributed to all those things @SrPab mentioned above but their long lay off really hurt them. So many casual fans just tuned out. Youtube has a problem with videos appearing in peoples subscription boxes. 3.4M view in 2 weeks is still great for an original song. Steady rate and airplay will keep the views ticking over. Other tools are used to measure success as well, 1.4M streams on Spotify compared to their Cheerleader cover which has 1.8M. Shazam has 11,000 hits too. Really cool that RCA is confident in them, heard it on the radio randomly the other day for the first time which was nice. People on Twitter keep sending us tweets about CSL playing and requesting it on radio. (Very confused as to how the radio industry works). Someone sent us a link to a radio news network site, it has a list of new songs coming out to be added (if they choose to) onto mainstream radio. Another major market has just added CSL. Star 101.3 in San Francisco. Apparently it played twice in the last couple of hours. Jonathan, their manager, on Twitter said that CSL hasn't been distributed to all stations yet. Guessing this week RCA begins its push for CSL. Must be different for radio, articles & stations have listed CSL as a new release due out 9/11 or 9/15. Have no idea what they're doing but they have a month to promo the album. Another single perhaps? Let's see what they do.

Article just came out that says RCA will begin pushing CSL. - http://hitsdailydouble.com/pop_mart&id=297611 A radio station (Z102.9) played it for the first time and asked people to rate it via Twitter, Facebook, calling in etc. (9.5/10) The surprise was that they played the Tink version. Fans rallied on Twitter to get it played again, they did and I recorded it. "Somebody wake up my heart, light me up, set fire to my soul...." It has been a crazy few days on Twitter land. Always nice to see other artists supporting one another. Meghan Trainor has taken it to another level, non-stop promo for #CantSleepLove. With the industry setting the global release day on Friday now, have to wait until Monday rolls around to see how CSL does on radio. People seem to be loving it so far, very surprised by the amount of views and likes the video has received since it is an original song. Nice lead single, simple, catchy and is obviously tailored for the radio. Welcome new Pentaholics! Very excited for the rest of the album. Wonder if they are releasing another single before the album comes out. 'OMWH' is still my favorite. Pretty sure that's going to change soon. Also, I recall Kevin saying that Elof wrote and produced Rhianna's "Stay" in the latest livestream. Hooray for 20 songs?! (Still mad that they chucked 'Cheerleader' onto the album.) Oh! Those who had private performance in Nashville got to hear "Take Me Home." Obviously they couldn't record it but apparently they were taken to the showers and PTX started singing it. There were tears. 'Take Me Home' was referenced at the end of the documentary when they finished their last show in Texas. Sneaky PTX. Sneaky.

Thoughts? Colorful, neat & simple cover. Love it. Although, Kevin looks so casual. Twitter-verse is divided. So their website states that the album drops October 16th. There was an article floating around that said the same thing and the album is supposedly self titled, "Pentatonix." 'Cheerleader' just makes me happy. General public is like in 'love' with it. Non-stop press. If people actually watched to the end and caught the teaser, it was a great marketing ploy. Covering the hottest song of the summer and using it as a launching pad into original music. Might be PTX's last cover for a while. They were just at an event in NYC (think it was for iHeartRadio) and lots of press stuff today as well. Really pushing for radio play. All this teasing is fun to watch, fans are freaking out and coming up with all sorts of theories. Although, $25 for the #soon shirt? C'mon guys :)

Tweeted about this earlier. All the official Irish entertainment sites have listed PTX as a support act. Ticketmaster Ireland also has them listed. However, Kelly already announced her UK tour dates a week ago and just added Dublin's today. Think PTX might only be opening for that one date (Nov 10th). This might mean a UK album press tour. Still want to hear it straight from PTX though.

"Delusionally optimistic" - Scott Hoying Yes, fairly confident the original album is going to do well. All this love from RCA is great. Both parties want a top 40 hit and PTX has been promoting "Can't Sleep Love." They just performed it at a private Walmart 'thingymabob' in Denver. 'Welcome to the new age.' 100 streams = 1 unit. Which makes TCTM album success just as awesome. Most of it was physical copies or paid downloads.

"Daft Punk" &"Radioactive" have been certified GOLD. Awesome news just keeps on coming.
