  1. ^Woah. Exactly like my thoughts. Really like Rose Gold and its lyrics. Has a Lorde-esque vibe to it. Ordered it but it's scheduled to be released late November. Check out "kworb." Very reliable source that some media outlets use. Worldwide iTunes chart is updated every 15 minutes. Cool site to play around with - http://kworb.net/itunes/artist/pentatonix.html Can also check out the radio charts - http://kworb.net/radio/
  2. That was fast by the Bieber fans. PTX was there for a good couple of hours on iTunes. It's on their Facebook and Twitter pages. Not sure which way it's going to go but Pentaholics are trying to make up for the streams and both artists have discounted their respective albums on Amazon. If #1 is there for the taking, go for it. Think everyone's underestimated PTX. Some immature comments online, whatever happens, PTX has original album and hopefully the respect they deserve from others. Here they are telling everyone to stream it and gushing about their iTunes position.
  3. #1 on iTunes! Amazing. Doesn't guarantee #1 on Billboard though. Still too close to call, keep streaming. Hoping that their sales will make up the streams. Hufffington Post Interview
  4. Wow. Haven't watched it yet, 1000 albums in 45 minutes?! That's helpful. If they need a bigger gap in pure sales. It's till to close to call but looks like Demi will edge ahead with streams. If they can go 10-15K more in sales it might be close. It will be hard to maintain the a 1-2 position, Carrie Underwood an 5sos are releasing next week. Big last quarter for music. Got to hand it to TSwift. No streams, sells over 1 million and has spent a year in the top 10.
  5. Anything over 10 will count as 1 album. Under is okay. Very good Huffingtonpost interview Their Today Show appearances
  6. Each song grows on you. Haven't had a chance to sit down and just enjoy the album but "Ref" goes off. Is extremely popular with the fans and judging by the number of streams on Spotify it has, should be considered as a single. If your up for a laugh, Billboard wrote an article about the race to #1. The comment section is gold.
  7. Seriously. A great debut for an original album. RCA must be loving it. No matter if its #1 or #2 hope people aren't childish about it like some Dem fans online right now. Throwing insults at PTX, real nice.
  8. Think HAC is targeted to a younger audience. Its like a mix between pop and AC.
  9. The battle for #1 is real. It would be a bummer if PTX sells more albums but loses the top spot because of streaming. Spread the word!!! Keep it playing in the background on mute. (Great debut week for PTX though. Against a someone who has a a giant fanbase,Top 20 hit and who just performed on SNL. 80K-ish is great) Gomez isn't getting #1. They're referring to her recent release (last week) and an album released years ago. That's the consecutive #1's. HDD is an official source. This is where all the news articles are getting their numbers from. They also have a building + streaming sales album chart you can check out which is updated every Friday. Radio Chart Update for CSL. (Oct 12-18) AC: ^18 (22) HAC: ^38 (42) POP: ^43 (45)
  10. It's a tight race to #1 as reported by HDD Surprised Demi is pulling those numbers. Feel that she might pull ahead with her streams. Deke Sharon got word of it and is telling everyone to buy and stream it. Would be awesome if they get #1. Let's make history! No a cappella album has ever hit #1. Spread the word. Their Saturday Night Online Q&A was fun. They probably learnt a lot more about each other in that chat. Who knew, Kevin and that Halloween costume.
  11. Misbehavin' & Cracked live. They've been hosting their respective listening parties and lots of interesting questions are answered. They definitely plan on making a music video for most of them and might tour in Spring. Oh and there's also a rumour that "If I Ever Fall In Love feat. Jason Derulo" will be the next single as RCA has sent it to an urban radio station.
  12. "The Tonight Show w/ Jimmy Fallon" has posted CSL. They never post musical acts (Bieber was an exception). Guess they got sick of replying to every other comment to watch it on their site. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sb7ADFYIrI
  13. Hard to spot her in that panda gear. Haha Vevo. Their numbers mean nothing. People make such a big deal about it, "OMG you have a Vevo, you made it!" "Let's break records!!!" $$$ PTX can chuck all those television performances on that channel. As long as there is a place for Pentaholics to watch it without any restrictions and keep their main channel in tact.
  14. Explained on Twitter that PTX might actually upload it onto their VEVO channel. Just have to wait and see. Didn't want to risk it by posting on our channel. Crazy day! Lots of promo and currently #2 on iTunes. Their competition is Demi (#4), tight race. Oh and a new video on the 19th. Playlist for their media appearances - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTRxhv5hwmixA61Hk41fDjK2CGqEhQLey 15 second TV spot
  15. Promo is ramping up. There was a really cool TV spot (still trying to find a HQ version). The physical copy looks amazing, really cool design. Really like the idea of the 5 color scheme they got going on as it can be incorporated into everything and stand out. That TV ad was just colorful. This Billboard article is very intriguing. There's a video that goes along with it and a very snazzy photoshoot. (Don't know why billboard won't release HD pics though) “Pentatonix is Nirvana -- they’re breaking the glass ceiling,” says a cappella singer-guru Deke Sharon.
  16. "That's Christmas To Me Deluxe Edition" - https://thep.com/Project.aspx?ProductID=8875164322 5 new tracks: Joy To The World Just For Now The First Noel Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas Mary Did You Know? Feat. The String Mob
  17. Can totally hear their Xmas songs being overplayed everywhere this holiday season.
  18. Publishing Deal is a big deal. All the record label does is help with the recording, production, distribution & marketing etc. When they signed to RCA they probably signed to its affiliate publishing company. A publisher acts on behalf of the artist to collect royalties (anything that involves commercial gain). This deal is just awesome for PTX. Sony/ATV can get people to play their songs on commercials or wherever. They get more $$$ as well. RCA probably has a large cut, PTX will get a bit more with Sony publishing. It's also like backup. Ensures that even if RCA doesn't help for whatever reason with recording and releasing, Sony will (b/c $$$). Publishing deal also means that all the "100" or so songs they wrote that didn't end on the album. Sony can give to other artists and if it ends up on anyone's album they'll be credited and given the $$$. Just think of it as if PTX music plays anywhere. They will get the $$$ along with Sony. Watch the reaction numbers dwindle. Copyright just made it so much more difficult. Heard that some reactions have already been pulled. Crazy.
  19. CSL on the move. Radio Chart Update (Oct 5-11 week) POP: ^45 (50) AC: ^22 (24) HAC: ^42 (43) Amazon Japan has the previews out for the song. If you're interested...
  20. Knew those videos weren't meant to be public. They've gone private on Vimeo. In other news, there's a vinyl version of the album available only on Amazon. Updated mini Xmas tour thing: - B96 Chicago's Jingle Bash - KOST 103.5's Christmas Land - NOW 105's Not So Silent Night - Star 1013's One Starry Night - WZPL 99.5's Jingle Jam
  21. Perks of being a solo artist. Gomez, the night before gets a double feature. Hope Jimmy takes the chance to do something fun with them. They're A Cappella and he's done a lot of viral fun stuff. Probably won't but it's there for the taking. That track by track commentary on Vimeo. Think it's not suppose to be public. The audio is terrible for a professional film company, hasn't been cleaned. Really cool insight into their whole process and the meanings behind the songs.
  22. PTX will be on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." Thursday Night (10/15). Day before album releases. Cool late night host. They're listed as the musical guest so no interviews and all that stuff. Tom Hanks and Jessica Chastain are the guests for that evening. Also, that article/interview thing was epic. Lots of insight. "Everyday was like a blind date." ICYMI:
  23. RCA doing their bit. It's climbing and stations are still adding the song. Cracking into the top 50 on Pop radio is awesome. POP: 50 HOT AC: 41 AC: 24
  24. Amazing birthday video for Kevin. Some familiar faces! What an effort to get all these people -
  25. Cant Sleep Love is still climbing. Climbs to 25 on AC charts and debuts at 41 on HAC (Hot AC) radio (as of October 3) - http://kworb.net/radio/ http://goo.gl/07IHPh MJSBIGBLOG posts some ticket sales stats. Really interesting.
