Kyle Richards: Pantene Poster Girl
Found A Peanut replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
There's no telling yet why Chad let Kingsley out. Maybe the dog was barking and Kim insisted, or Kim just wanted her "son" near her. It seems apparent that Kim didn't move to put the dog away while the makeup artist was safely hiding and instead coaxed the woman out to be mauled, so I'm inclined to think that Kim was, as ever, insisting on everyone acting according to the rules of her personal reality. Kingsley's a big sweetie! Come see! -

When you talk about the consequences of the dog escaping, that really makes the stakes clear. Poor Kingsley. -

I respect your experience, this is not meant to be a challenging or an argumentative question but, we're talking about people with ridiculous amounts of money here. The Richards clan can buy any level of skilled professionals they've a mind to. You really think there's no hope for Kingsley, even if he just lived in a sanctuary somewhere? Normal family life seems right out of the question, but aren't there a few places he could live out his life? I know some of Michael Vicks' dogs remained unadoptable and still live in a sanctuary. Granted, they were wrecked fighting other dogs, not preying on people, but I'm sure the staff still are very careful. -

It would not shock me to hear that Kyle knew Kim had Kingsley living with her at a property Kyle either owns or signed the lease for. They all appease Kim to keep the peace. If so, Kyle would rightly owe big time for that misjudgment. Kim being Kim, it's also possible that Kim lied about Kingsley's whereabouts and it was a secret. Sad to hear that. Enabling Kim is practically Kimberly's job. I can't blame her for not having disentangled herself yet, she's still very young. And it doesn't appear to me from the outside that anyone else in the family has set an example to follow of what having healthy boundaries with Kim looks like. I feel incredibly sorry for the woman who was attacked. Imagine being so hurt and so helpless and at the mercy of people who were openly prioritizing the welfare of the dog that attacked you over your own life and safety. The insanity of that would actually be terrifying to me, it upends all your expectations of normal human response. You're afraid of the dog, and now you're afraid of the people, too. Bleeding and scared and she had to negotiate for help, Jesus. -

Chad living with Kyle and Mauricio doesn't seem out of character for the family. They're tight with Kim's kids, and maybe Chad needs a little extra support. Or he could have been petsitting the Umansky menagerie. It's more than just the dogs, isn't it? With Kyle out of town, I could totally see Kim coming over to get her hair and makeup done in posh surroundings. Kyle probably has a pro set-up there. Kim living in a property owned by Kyle/the Umansky family is also very plausible. I suppose more details will be coming out soon that clear things up. Kyle would absolutely and deservedly be on the hook if she agreed to let Kingsley live in a property she owned, but I bet she'd settle fast if that were the case. I hope this doesn't turn into a storyline. -

Is Kim supposed to be sober these days? Sober-ish, maybe? Because this behavior, looking at a bleeding, seriously mauled victim who is begging for help, Kim extorts promises to protect the dog instead of calling 911 and then still won't call 911 but rather calls her lawyer/cover-up team to enforce the agreement and remove the victim - who could do that? Kim Richards is a stone cold sociopath, y'all. I wonder how much Kyle even knew about the truth of this situation. You know Kim wouldn't hesitate to put the screws to her own child to keep the secret, and the lawyer wouldn't talk; Kim's the client even if somebody else is paying his retainer. And if that was actually Kyle and Mauricio's home, I would be astounded to hear they let Kingsley live there. Not with their children living there, too. I'll be ready to believe that Kim has actual psychic powers of mind control if that proves to be the case. Can we finally lay to rest the notion that Kim Richards is a troubled woman with a good heart?- 3.6k replies

Yeah, and contrast Katie Holmes' situation with Nicole Kidman's. Nicole tried to play ball, share custody, co-parent, and how did that work out? Leaving Scientology is no joke. But with what happened to Nicole to warn her, Holmes planned her divorce like she was leading a SEAL Team Six secret op. I'm normally Judgey McBitcherson about people leaving kids behind, but I imagine that Kate B.'s situation might have been pretty desperate. It's so sad that she hasn't at least been able to reconnect with her child as an adult.

Obamacare didn't abolish private insurance, nothing is forcing Cait to purchase a plan from the marketplace. And I'm pretty sure income requirements are only about whether you can qualify for a subsidy. I think Cait is just full of shit, as per usual. I'd like to know where she pulled that number from, but it's probably some fresh from her ass calculation of how much the Democrats have cost her in taxes or some such. I really wonder if Cait can possibly be as oblivious as she seems to understanding that some of the politicians she's spoken so admiringly of regard her as an abomination. Does she really think she's too special a snowflake to be reviled the way poorer, less connected transfolk are?

I'm sad just seeing that still of Gigi. The latest pictures I've seen of her, she's really lost that beautiful, sleepy kitten face and is looking more generic, cheek bone like a cliff, modelesque. She had such an unusual beauty. The more I hear about Yolanda, and her taller daughter contraptions, and Bella's teenage plastic surgery, and so forth, the more I think she gives Kris Jenner a run for her momager money. Yo seems to have mostly slid under the radar as a well-intentioned "good mother" who just wants her kids to see the world and find their own little Julio Iglesiases, though. I can't imagine the pressure she's put those kids under to live up to her future supermodel expectations. Maybe Yolanda's problem is really that, now that the toys have escaped the workshop, she's turned all of her tinkering and fixing and perfecting energy onto herself.

This is why my grandmother told me to never go to doctors. "They always find something wrong! There wasn't anything wrong with me before I went to that doctor!" Now, Gramma was maybe taking things to an extreme, but she kind of had a point, too, that Yolanda could stand to pay a little attention to. But I suppose Yo is buying all the trouble she wants and doesn't need advice on how to avoid it.

Good find! And some choice pearl clutching at the link: Even Tom Girardi should have known better than to display a raunchy video at a meeting at which members of the state’s highest court were present. Of course, good judgment would have precluded showing it at any bar meeting. Or, for that matter, anywhere. Some members will treasure the past year as the group’s “Camelot,” during which a benefactor treated members to largely subsided meals at swank places and to free concerts. The more discerning will recall this year as one in which the group, formed in 1977, temporarily went out of existence. Deputy Attorney General Steve Mesi will be sworn in as president on Jan. 28 at the San Antonio Winery, and the Italian American Lawyers Assn. will spring back into being. Normalcy, it is anticipated, will be restored. "Even Tom Girardi..." snerk! At least he's proud of her?

Oh, I think not a thing in common. Jerry has her own money, her own circle, decades long friendships with other women, grown children, and a history of dating intellectually interesting men - not just Mick. She and Rupert look absolutely giddy in some of their wedding pictures, too. I think they're the real deal. I do think couples like Jerry and Rupert give a sort of cover to couples like Erika and Tom. Like, you can see it's possible that other May-December, trophy-looking arrangements are happy couplings and you want to be fair because, hey, maybe this works for them. I'm now on the train that thinks Erika is in a sad situation, though.

S06.E14: Not Easy To Love
Found A Peanut replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Maybe forgetting the cameras are there during the gossip but remembering after and fearing the consequences is the reason Kathryn flipped on Erika. In the moment, it was just chatter about new acquaintances, but the realization that Lisa would see and hear all that and that Lisa carries grudges more than she does Giggy caused Kathryn to think where her bread was most likely buttered and runtellthat. For that matter, the same could explain Erika tattling to Yolanda. I'm guessing that calculating alliances and Machiavellic scheming take up a not inconsiderable amount of all of these women's time after this many seasons of the show. And some of them have not much else going on in their lives to distract them from it. -
Kyle Richards: Pantene Poster Girl

Where did Kyle use Brandi as an attack dog? And I'll note upfront that I don't consider Puerto Rico a case of Kyle leading an attack. More a situation where other interested parties lobbied a grievance to Kyle - with Kim notably in the thick of it - and put her on point. I think Brandi seriously raised the ante on attacks on the show. She made it a blood sport from Adrienne on. -
Kim Richards: No Escape from Witch Mountain

Kim's nephew just got ordered into six months of rehab. That'd be a good start for Kim, better than jail, at least if it wasn't one of those candy-coated rehabs where Kim got to call the shots and flake out at will. -
Kyle Richards: Pantene Poster Girl

I think Brandi's hatred for Kyle is a twisty mix of competitiveness, jealousy, and insecurity. From very early on, Brandi was aiming to unseat Kyle and take over her spot in the pecking order, imo, and that campaign has conclusively failed now. Kyle had repeatedly reached out to Brandi, both to make amends after she'd been an asshole herself, or to smooth things over and move on after various Brandi shenanigans, and it's interesting how much that seems to get under Brandi's skin. Kyle being nice to her seems to make Brandi hate her more, going clear back to the aftermath of Brandi's first season when Kyle called and invited her to a party and got back an "accidental" text of Brandi calling her a cunt for her trouble. I think Brandi gluing herself to Kim was Brandi's final attempt to unseat Kyle, and it wasn't a bad line of attack considering that conflict with Kim was how Kyle first took major damage on the show. And that was all preceded by another phase of rapprochement where Kyle was being friendly again and left herself vulnerable by being so. Brandi invests a lot of outrage in Kyle being a phony, but Brandi absolutely blindsided Kyle there, so who, really, was the phony? Since that maneuvering blew up in her face and Brandi lost her sweet gig, I'm sure she utterly loathes Kyle. Brandi is a woman who can't forgive other people for the wrongs she did to them. -
Kanye West: The Most Intelligent Celebrity

So, there's a song mentioning Rob and Blac Chyna on Kanye's new album? A song that had to have been written, recorded, gone through production, all of that, many weeks ago at the very least? Maaaaan, the last couple weeks of drama have been some kabuki kind of Kardashian bullshit, haven't they? Rob's finally got himself a storyline, that's all. -

I don't see how it's possible to keep Kris Jenner out of it. I'm certain she saved the cord blood from her children's births for them to use as ink when signing their various management contracts with her. And somewhere in that cold looking mansion of hers, there's a little box, filled with tiny dolls all dressed up in Balmain, each of them with a withered umbilical cord lovingly wrapped around it's neck. -

Who needs game to hook up with Tyga? Like he's somebody? They ran in the same circles, and Kylie's cute, insecure, and has more social media followers than Tyga could ever dream of. I think if there was game, it was Tyga making the play. I do blame Kylie's older sisters for not shaking some sense into her, but I wouldn't pin the set-up on them, not for Tyga. I don't see why Rob should be excused from being a decent brother just because Kylie's special talent seems to be the making of bad choices, so we'll just have to agree to disagree. -
Rob: The (Mostly) Invisible Man
Found A Peanut replied to Lisin's topic in Keeping Up With The Kardashians
I don't agree at all. Kylie is an ignorant child, something I mainly lay at her worthless parents' doorsteps. Adults shouldn't be engaging in childish drama with actual children. (And that goes for Blac Chyna, too. Get a grip on your dignity, Chyna) If Rob thinks he's been damaged and is suffering because of this toxic family - which I can well believe - where the hell is his concern for the well being of his much younger siblings? Nowhere, because I'll bet he's at least as narcissistic as the worst of them. If he has a problem with Kylie, beyond his self-involved obliviousness, I'd put it down to bitter jealousy that yet another sister is raking in the big bucks by flashing her big butt, and the success he feels entitled to as the prince of the family never dropped into his lap like it should have. ETA: Oh, hey, Rebecca! I'm repeating what you said! Totally agree. -
Rob: The (Mostly) Invisible Man

Rob is a huge asshole, in my opinion. Anybody else here or on Twitsnapgram can say and think whatever they want about Kylie - hey, opinions are free and maybe she even is the insufferable troll some people claim - but her older brother ought to have *some* concern over dragging more drama into his teenage sister's ridiculous life. And he's slapping Khloe in the face. Enabler or not (big YES), she has stood by him and supported him for years, does she really deserve this bullshit from him? Rob is gross. Good luck whipping this hidden gem into shape, Blac Chyna. He was a cheater when he was hot. -
Caitlyn Jenner: Call Me Caitlyn
Found A Peanut replied to Lisin's topic in Keeping Up With The Kardashians
Caitlyn made millions as a motivational speaker, though, managed by Kris. That is a huge success, if not as flashy as a gold medal, and I'm not sure when the speaking actually tapered off. And during the years of the show, Caitlyn was living the retired jock dream with the flying and the racing and whatever else she felt like doing. I really mistrust the wise dad/goofy dad, sitcom storylines we were seeing on the Kardashian shows. I think a lot of the behind the scenes turmoil was leaking through as a sort of free floating hostility and disrespect towards Caitlyn, but she also always struck me as kind of an oblivious, self-absorbed asshole. The way she brushed off and dismissed Brandon when he wanted to talk about her abandonment of him is the real Caitlyn, imo. And now it seems like Caitlyn was strongly moving into her transition during the latter seasons but not talking about it with her kids, which must have been all kinds of confusing for them. I just don't hold the way it came off on TV against the Kardashian/Jenner kids. It was such a messy situation under the surface and really handled badly by the parents. Caitlyn sure loves being thought of as the victim, though. You'd think that someone who serially abandoned her children might be a little shyer about grabbing for the martyr mantle, but no. Not Caitlyn. Anyway, all that to say that, while Caitlyn's portrayal on the show may have seemed sad sack at the time, I can't see it as failure. She walked away from the divorce richer than god, her entire family circled around to support her transition publicly - ex-wives and abandoned children included, she emerged like a butterfly on the cover of Vanity Fair to general hosannas. Seriously. Caitlyn's life is fucking charmed. -
Caitlyn Jenner: Call Me Caitlyn
Found A Peanut replied to Lisin's topic in Keeping Up With The Kardashians
She is awful, but I still feel sorry for her. Caitlyn is a complicated mess. I think that while living as a man, Caitlyn was one of those people who didn't really believe in white male privilege while fully enjoying all the fruits of it, probably thought complaints of unequal treatment or bigotry from anyone not a rich, white male were exaggerated, whining, pulling the race card, and so forth, and people just needed to bootstrap themselves up. So, she transitioned expecting to carry all that privilege she imagined she earned by virtue of her own awesomeness with her and....here she is. Being judged as harshly as any other mutton dressed as lamb. Craggy, sun damaged guys Caitlyn's age still get to be hot - look at everybody fanning themselves over Harrison Ford lately, for ex. - but it does not work that way for older women. I just wonder how Caitlyn is explaining this to herself. If she's still committed to her previous world views, is she blaming herself for not being able to "make people comfortable"? She hasn't experienced a lot of failure in life, how will she explain success just not coming as easily as it used to do?
