I 100% agree. I'm a Christian, but when my girls were born (one of then born this past December) my pediatrician specifically recommended against going to church because "if someone is sick, they are likely to decide against going to Target. But they will go to church." She gave us permission to go to restaurants, malls, etc. But was really reluctant at the thought of us going to church.

I legit thought that Derick's point about being excited to go back to Central America was a non sequitur about their future plans. Then I re-read it and realized he thinks Mexico is in Central America.

Jill is actively using her "celebrity" status to alter the contest -- to win. It is doubtful if nobody knew who she was that she'd win on the merits of the photo itself-- it's just not that good. If she is capitalizing on her fame to win, I don't see the issue in people reacting negatively and mobilizing to try to offset those attempts.

I have been following Jill R for a long time, and I really hate to defend her, but there has been no evidence of her guzzling it like water. In fact, in one of her videos she posted on Facebook, she admitted there are months where she can't afford to buy the product at all. Now, that's not to say she hasn't drunk it. She definitely has and has done so while pregnant which I give major, major side eye to. But, guzzling Plexus like water is a massive exaggeration. Exaggeration isn't needed with Jill -- her antics are bad enough on their own (usually bad enough that they sound like exaggerations themselves but aren't). Fun fact: that appears to be the comforter set she registered for and received at her baby shower. The baby shower she had for her 13th baby. And which was basically meant to be a "pamper Mama" party. The "baby shower" registry, at Macy's (and which is listed as a bridal registry... Because Macy's doesn't have baby registries... Because it's not a baby store...), also featured several types of perfume and a $600 KitchenAid stand mixer. No exaggeration.

Who needs a cute photo when you have thousands of leghumpers who will flood a small, unknown contest?

If I recall the details correctly, David did have a "partying past" (I don't think details have ever been given about this, so it could be just as simple as that he went on dates with girls who wore pants). He was saved at the mall by a dude handing out tracts. Which is why David is now in the tract printing business.

Jessa may have the capability of doing something like that, but if Jessa did leak the news she would not have leaked it to InTouch. InTouch is basically the last magazine Jessa would have anything to do with. (Honestly, I I wouldn't be surprised if it was Amy who was the leaker, if, in fact, this is a leak and not a made-up story).

This was my experience too. I had my 6 week check up in February after having a baby by C-section in December. I specifically asked my OB at the end of the appointment, after he didn't mention it, whether I should wait in order to get pregnant again (I may have been thinking about the Duggars and these forums). He looked at me like I was crazy and said "no, because you won't be giving birth immediately." I know I've seen other women say that their OB gave different advice. But it seems like it's not a settled thing.

That feels like a really awkward conversation to have with a fellow church congregant. "Can you please represent me in suing the city for revealing that I molested four of my sisters? Thanks."

I agree. And, given this financial meltdown Derick seems to be having, I don't see how they could possibly still be on board with "having as many children as God will give you" train given the very real possibility that each birth could cost into the 5 figures (and probably more than their yearly salary). Can you imagine having an annual, or every two years, event that costs more than you make in one year? Even SOTDRT graduates should be able to figure out that's not sustainable.

I'm not disagreeing, but why do the other kids (who also don't seem to work or, if they do, they work for JB) have assets and the Dillards don't? Where did the other kids' money come from? It just seems to further support a disparity between the Dillards and the other kids. Which is really strange. But, yes, ultimately Derick and Jill's faults.

Everyone keeps talking about Jill and Derick getting the McMansion, but it's not like they were gifted it. They were allowed to live there, possibly rent free, but the other married couples got places to live too. In addition, other married couples got fancy European honeymoons and seem to have been given some kind of lump sum money as many of them have since bought their own houses. It appears most of the other married couples have assets and Jill and Derick have none. I also keep thinking about that tweet Derick made a couple of months ago where people were wondering why they lived in that small apartment and he said something to the effect that it was cheaper to live there than where they previously lived (which had been a Duggar house, if I recall the conversation at that time correctly). That either points to the Dillards not getting free housing from JB or Derick was speaking metaphorically.

Could Derick be lying so that the next time he puts up a GoFundMe, people don't attack and tell him to use the money they earned from the show? Or did people's reaction to the GoFundMe (or the original DONATE button) clue him in that he should have been paid? And, if he wasn't paid, why didn't he just tell people back then that they didn't have money from the show? I keep thinking of more and more questions. Why am I spending so much mental energy on this?

It's hard to tell with his vagueness, but he might be suggesting somebody saw the money, but it wasn't him and Jill. Jim Bob would be the only other likely candidate in my opinion.
