  1. That was one of the greatest reveals! How they didn’t look beforehand, I don’t know—although they had to see the driveway work. But their reaction to the front of the house—and that kitchen, especially, was special.

Hope they find nice buyers/neighbors for their old place. Perhaps the Napiers can redo that house next season, along with Susie’s bedroom and bath. I’m sure they could use it.

  2. Phil’s back! I started with Kyoto, because I’ve always wanted to go. It’s beautiful—hope you like fish. Plus, Monica.

Phil definitely has his own style of very curated experiences, e.g. René Redzepi is in town with a pop-up Noma (which is closing soon). Later, the reunion meal is at the place run by a Noma chef. You get the idea. But you also get the respect for Kyoto and a few historical examples.

I can identify with Phil saying that Kyoto is a place you miss, even when you’re there, knowing you’ll leave. I had that feeling in Positano.

  3. (Delete without watching.) Thanks for the PSA.

Ha, this hits all my least favorite hot spots in a location I don’t care about.

I did catch Richard in London rerun—Hollywood couple went with the great, over-budget (allegedly;-) place. Richard, save one of those for me. Yeah, I enjoy old British movies with charming houses—I’d go look at them, not live in one and it’s lack of central heat and a/c.

  4. I thought she liked the living room. It was all the side eye she threw during the presentation/planning stage that I appreciated.

My impression was that Yulanda said it was the $$ that made the decision. I think Antinisha said that the stairs and distance were the dealkillers, but that sounded like a cover story. Yulanda was clear, but happy with the end result. I hope they both enjoy it for a long time.

  5. Shirtless

Flirty attorney appears out of nowhere

Side characters more interesting than main

Colter packing up his angst and moving on

Health care that reminded me of France ( I walked out of hospital with no bill-/they sent a small one a couple months later. Small compared to US.🤬)

Anyway, I am still watching. Ken Olin has been involved with good TV, I’m hoping he can help steer this into the fast lane.

  6. Bye, Jack.

I ve never been more glad of so many seasons of McCoy reruns! Jack anytime.

And Sam? Blew Dancy off the screen in their shared scenes.

Plot was whatever, putting the threats in there that Jack and Price could dismiss reminded me of Jack and Adam.

  7. I still watch (albeit not if they’re in states I wouldn’t even visit). I like looking at houses—so I mostly put up with the role-players, the drama queens of any gender and, well, I mute vocal fry. Like some here, I can frequently crack the code and pick their house. Then I laugh. (And/or snark on them here.)

  8. OMG, John just offered Clarence Thomas a million dollars a year for life and a $2.4M* pimped-out luxury condo on wheels to get his ass off the Supreme Court and keep it off! 30-day offer and the clock is ticking!
Marry  me, John! I could not liove you more. And welcome back, Show! 😂😂😂❤️

  9. Thanks for the Peacock reminder! I needed to cancel by 2/24 when my 99 cents trial expires. Hadn’t watched in months! Ha, now I see I have til then to watch Oppenheimer for free. Or 99 cents.

Looking forward to the Prime class-action suit.

Brit Box went after Jimmy left Shetland. Hopping on and off seems smart for some services. I’m sure they’ll attach penalties one day. Meanwhile, I subscribe to a bunch of stuff on free YT and watch on TV—getting real good with skip ad!

  10. Quote

get the impression though that he's doing this to help out his brothers and other relatives who are behind the camera.

Bonus for them, he’s big on family, but Phil, wanna travel wherever you want and explore whatever food you want, meet new folks, pig out, tour, nice hotels, get paid, bring your wife and kids if they’re available?

  11. 3 hours ago, CrazyInAlabama said:

I have to say the juvenile behavior of the Baeumlers, and Leslie and Lindsay make me want to avoid the latest Rock the Block series).

LOL, seems random, except yay! That’s a hard pass for me, too. I avoid both of their shows on the regular.

The sisters were out of central casting of bickering sisters aging together. Based on the months later shots, David needs to return with some design ideas, but I’d rather watch remodel them than Leslie and Lindsay.

  12. Between the asbestos and lead paint, it’s a good bet they hadn’t used a home inspector. Always hire a home inspector. The finished reveal was okay, but clearly that budget wasn’t enough to create the usual look and major pieces were donated.

Nothing wrong with that, perhaps it’s the answer to folks who’ve asked why HGTV designers can’t give up high-end finishes to afford more projects. Rico & Co. did. Family was happy. ((Freakin’ thrilled to have their own house.)

  13. Quinta, Sheryl Lee, Lisa Ann, Tyler and Quinta’s former teacher—Mrs Abbott!—were on Celebrity Family Feud last night playing for Donors Choose.* They were adorable, but the cast of Hacks won.

Donors Choose supports classrooms by helping a teacher buy learning tools for their students—from tablets to bulletin boards, they’ll tell you all about their project. I’ve donated and in one case, got thank you notes from the students ❤️

  14. Paley and Slim? Neither of them were moral role models, but agree it was invented with the payoff being when Babe tells Bill to go for Slim when she’s gone. Dramatic bookends likelier than Babe knew they were banging.

I thought that last shot of Babe on the shrink’s couch sealed the deal that their reunion was her wishful thinking.

  15. Kim’s team won. Shocker. Wasn’t the wife walking off the set before I started to FF?

Anyway, Kim and her husband are on WTHDIBTH. More dysfunctional layouts that they fix. Always looks better, but was a mess to start. She often sez what an honor it was to work on the week’s project. You won’t believe her either.

  16. Justin’s shirt came off in the first few minutes. He’s got an angst-filled backstory following him presently, every straight available woman has the hots for him. Sigh, here’s hoping the writing improves because so far, only his handlers were mildly interesting.

I liked Justin in TIU. He looks like he hasn’t eaten a carb in a couple years. But I won’t stick around just to see all the dogs.

  17. Anyone want more Adrian?  This is a Zoom Q&A with an American couple moving to France.*  It’s long, so FF by the chatty couple. Adrian dishes on her life, the French, where to live—and explains what it is that she does. They mention the show. Lots of info, if anyone is interested.

    * They’re back in the US, claiming they’re moving in a year, will visit before then. Like I said, they’re not the reason to watch.😏

  18. I saw Doreen in the last shot of (I think) the former nun’s end dance. She was playing the clarinet. Wearing braids. And while we don’t know the shooting order, not shocked.

Former sister gave me label envy.😂
