My grandfather was born around the time of Michael’s, but in one of the Baltic states. Tsar’s army? No thanks! Came on his young man’s own, much of his family stayed, some surviving the next war, some not. I do think conscription was a major reason for many leaving, so it might have covered a few other reasons, as well.

I was hijacked by two Emma Thompson films (thanks, TCM), but I thought I saw them in Montepulciano, one of my favorite places to stay, so you get the idea of why I’d watch these goofballs—Tuscany. We drove by that marble area—if it’s the one Michelangelo used—see, Jenny, lotsa marble. Ei.
The project is a goat rodeo, albeit not all their fault (long distance, Italy) with “friends” wanting to combine retail and hospitality and when will they be on site? Ratings and remodel hijinks.

He did. Crumb show—crumbs like Russian gangsters, dad’s early death, lone Wolfie, etc. Saves the writers from having to tell backstories. Also can get boring instead of intriguing.

Great job on the house, mostly. Didn’t love the tub surround, but it may have been a budget issue. Or their nice tile guy is still recovering from that kitchen backsplash. 😂

I only buy unsweetened applesauce, if I'm not making some myself (I usually add cinnamon and a little bit of brown sugar). But I'd never buy sweetened applesauce--I read labels! Is Jack getting cranky, er crankier? Haven't seen the pops episode, don't need to. I'm pretty much watching new episodes if they have something I'm likely to make. Or at least want to make.

The New Zealand bunch. I was surprised they took the beach place. I mean, their visitors can get a hotel or b&b place, but while he staked out a corner somewhere for work, she, with the nervous clients got bubkes.

One LE realtor did time—something she doesn’t tire of talking about in every episode. That got old pretty fast. So currently looking for a $3+M place for guy who believed in her and funded her entry into the business. The other realtor is kind of a hot mess.
