  1. Well, my first thought when I saw that bird/bat thing was to 1)contain it 2)put on hazard suits. Elena has been through enough with Shield that she should have been making comments about how they had no idea what this thing was and should have never assumed it was dead. Come on, LMD wasn’t that long ago, always make sure the dead thing is dead.

I’m not surprised Deke went the self-serving douche route, and I am disappointed by it. Writers, there has to be a reason, that you are making the grandson of FitzSimmons to be so unlike FitzSimmons? Still hoping Nick Blood is brought back for a Grandson of FitzSimmons reveal scene.

  2. I just finished watching the whole thing, so beware of spoilers here.

I really liked it. I’ve always been hit or miss with Gaimen, only liking a handful of his books so I’ve never read Good Omens. But now, I want to.

Loved Crowley and Aziraphale. Found myself wishing they would return back to the pair every time someone else would be on screen. My heart broke when Crowley though Az was dead-Tennant did nice work on that scene. Found myself hoping for a hug between the angel and demon when Az got his body back and was disappointed we never got one. Friends for 6000 years and no hug when you find out your best friend is alive again? I thought it was an odd choice for zero physical touching.

Loved any times the Angel and Demon would stumble into an idiom that had to go with the other place “Good Heavens, shouldn’t of said that.” Also loved when Crowley and Az stood behind Adam like they were the Angel and Devil on his shoulders. Great imagery.

As really liked Newt and Anathema. I thought we saw the pair just the right amount. And I was surprised by Jack Whitehall-there were two briefest moments when I saw the snarky Jack Whithall glint in his eyes and not Newt. But he did a great job otherwise, I totally saw Newt and not Jack Whitehall(I problem I have a lot with comedians).

Overall, I liked it. I would be pleasantly surprised if they went with a season two, but totally fine if they just had one season.

  3. I really liked this episode because the show sort of got back to its goofy roots. We even saw a rare Fitz smile! I wish Fitz had even read the room a bit with Enoch. I miss kind Fitz, and even though Enoch and Fitz were bonding, I though he was still mean to Enoch. I want to rewatch the season before last and then a little of last season to remember what mindset Fitz was in when he went into the ice. Also-I would DIE to see Hunter’s face hearing Fitz say Enoch is his best friend. I’m still holding out for him to show up with Deke.

Loved that Jemma got yelled at by the team, and that Daisy even got heated. But then I also liked them stoned together. Jemma aiming Daisy’s blasts was genius. I also liked Daisy’s fight. It was sloppy and a lot of flailing limbs, which fit the idea that she was fighting high. I hope everyone sobers up quick.

I’m not a fan of space, as I know its the budget but everyone looked pretty Terran at the bar. I want crazy aliens! I know we’re not going to get it, so I can’t wait for everyone to get home. I also want the just want the team together.

  4. Other than I felt like there were a ton of commercials, I liked the episode.

Fitz is my favorite character, so I’m glad we don’t have Captain Torture from last season. Just to be clear though, this is post LMD Fitz right? I wonder how dark we’ll see Fitz go. I like that he couldn’t abandon the aliens-that felt like old Fitz.

Loved all the stuff with May. So excited to see her kick ass again. Nothing stops her from getting to her goal that’s for sure.

Liked how we didn’t even see Daisy or Jemma. Spreading out the story, I like it. That portal would be a real quick way to get everyone to space or back to earth real quick. I like when everyone is together so I already can’t wait for the reunion.

My favorite part was definitely Enoch! I am so happy he’s back.

With all the time travel wimbly does this mean that Hunter is still guarding Robin and her mother? I think there’s a lot of characters on the show so I know we don’t need another, but I love Hunter and Fitz together. Wonder when Deke is going to pop back in. Probably when we least expect it. Would be hilarious if Hunter and Deke ended up together. His mind would be blown that he was hanging out with the spawn of FitzSimmons and not even know it.

I can see that. Tessa Thompson would have great chemistry with anyone - male, female, CGI character, potted plant. Valkyrie and a returning Sif, perhaps?

But unless they do another Thor movie, with Thor back on Earth, I'm not sure whether we'll really see her again.

Carol Danvers has already engendered a stupid backlash from the trolls, making her queer would just make them lose their minds even more. I think Loki could be fluid or it could be one of the ladies of Black Panther in the Dora Milaje. Given that Wakanda was never colonized by Christians and Muslims; I could see Wakanda being fine with LGBT people since they worship the panther Goddess Bast.  Shuri being queer would be interesting..

Have you folks seen Tessa and Brie tweet at each other? They definitely ship Val/Danvers.

Personally I’d love to see some of our leading ladies sans a relationship because’s there’s already a lot of them. MJ/Peter, Nakia/T’Challa, Okoye/W’Kabi, Gamora/Peter, Christine/Strange, Lara/Hawkeye, Hope/Scott (did I get everyone? Is Okoye still married to W’Kabi?)

Shuri, Nebula, Mantis, Carol, Val, Maria, Maria Hill are all single right?

BUT I’m also down with representation. So if we see some of our heroes falling for each other-I’d be cool with it too. Plus, if they’re from different movies, like Val and Danvers, we could get some fun crossovers.

  6. Ugh. Nick. What are you thinking?? Peter is in HIGH SCHOOL. I do not like just because Peter is a hero, doesn’t mean you have to use him because he is the only hero you can track down-especially

    Spoiler

a grieving teen who’s going to feel guilty that Tony is dead and can’t be the one to help.

So. The multiverse is happening. Means there’s a Nat, Steve and Tony probably still out there. That makes me feel better about Endgame.

I know its only been two weeks for Endgame-but what are the spoiler rules that we can and cannot post regarding Endgame? The spoiler even says not to watch it if you haven't seen the movie....so do we have to post spoiler bars?

Just don't stop to consider the possibility that Old Man Steve was actually Avengers 1 Loki.

YES! Damn trickster God showing up in all the wrong places 😂 and suddenly now we have a theory where Loki also ends up lost in time, working at Shield and becomes friends with Steve and being a decent-ish God.

Hold up. Loki could totally “magic” Steve to not look like Steve. And then solves all the problems of Sharon unknowingly kissing her Uncle and how no one at Shield realized or knew Peggy married Steve Rogers. My new untangled head canon!

There's a lot of speculation that Nat and 'our" Gamora are stuck in the Soul Stone and they'll be freed in the next (As?)Guardians movie since Guardians 2 pretty heavily implied Adam Warlock would be involved.

Honestly, I wouldn’t even be mad if they did that. I really want a Lady Avengers movie, and I want Widow and our Gamora to be apart of it. We would possibly get to see Nat mourn Tony and talk with old Man Steve.

Also, thought of another stones question, weren’t two stones at Nowhere together too? Weren’t the reality stone and the power stone there at the same time bc of Quill and Thor? I also was surprised they didn’t put together the Soul Stone problem with the sacrifice. Or at least have Danvers research the stones while in space. Lots of “would have, could haves.”

I’ve kinda come to peace with the time traveling ending. Bc I feel like they are opening the door to yank our dead Avengers right out of other timelines bc this is a comic book series. Plus now, we have Shuri back, so technology and Stark’s plans are most likely in her hands.

I can’t wait to see it again. I’ve been trying to warn my friends that the Russo’s “don’t post spoilers” rule might not keep after this weekend. Hell, I posted on FB that I was sad about the movie and people were pissed at me about posting spoilers (I just posted a feeling, my friends better get off the internet bc spoilers are going to just be posted everywhere soon). There is no way people don’t start talking about Downey, Evans, and Johanssen’s demise/ending in this movie.

Here is where the flaws in the plot reveal themselves. Steve had to have re-entered Peggy's life after she got involved with D'Souza who she was kissing and presumably entered into a relationship with when Agent Carter ended. Nick said Peggy kept her personal life private so we have to accept that no one at SHIELD knew her husband's identity. She didn't socialize with them which I suppose is possible given their line of work. Steve got a new identity and went on with his life with Peggy. It mean, we talking about late 40s here, not the age of Internet where it is difficult to hide.

My problem is I can’t believe Steve wouldn't want to run SHIELD with Peggy. The man spent his life fighting bullies, I just can’t believe he would choose to sit things out, even after Endgame. My head canon is he was SHIELD’s best kept secret. Sent in when things where just absolutely bonkers.

Things really start to unravel if you start thinking about Tony and Howard, Bucky and Nat. Would Steve just ignore his friends in the past when he could do something?

This might be the best Alan Silvestri score ever:

You know, Marvel has gotten a lot of crap for their movie scores, but the Avenger riff has always been a favorite of mine, and its been in my playlists since the first time I heard it. I can’t wait to add this one too.

  11. Oh man, I thought I was undone after this movie but I’m crying again. Chris Evans posted that fans are posting thank yous under the hashtag #ThankYouAvengers. He then thanked fans.

All the tributes from the fans though. I’m a hot mess express again.

  12. I think I’m in mourning. I feel like I just finished the last book in a series and I’m so damn sad its over.

I was dreading this movie, not because it was the end, but because I truly hate Time Travel stories. My brain cannot turn off the ways it can’t work. And I really didn’t want them to undo all the Marvel Movies to defeat Thanos.

That being said-this truly was an epic film. I was mostly unspoiled (heard about Little Stark) and I’m glad I was. All of the callbacks, the music, the choices of the characters, I loved it all.

Nat’s death was heartbreaking. Her character has had such incredibly growth, and for her to fight it out to save Clint, just like in the first Avengers movie where she fought to save him damn near broke me in the theater. I cried. I knew what was going to happen at Vormir but I had a hope it wasn’t going to end that way. I really wanted Nat to be the next leader of the Avengers-I really thought she was safe.

Tony and Steve. Gah. I am really sad about both of them. Loved that Steve FINALLY picked up Mjolnir. As soon as past Thor grabbed it, I couldn't help myself, I said “Yes!” out loud. I knew they were going to have Steve be able to use it. I also loved him standing back up after getting his ass kicked by Thanos, to only hear Sam’s voice “On your left.” I cried here too, part of me wishes we had seen the mad scramble to get everyone to New York. I don’t blame Steve for his choice to find Peggy. I’ve already seen theories to how it wouldn’t disrupt the timelines. What bums me out is he left behind his Avenger’s family-he left behind Bucky. Steve fought so hard to save him...that bums me out. I was hoping Steve would hang up the Shield and help establish new Asgard, since him and Thor were so similar. Then Bucky and Same could visit him whenever and we might get a sneak of him on their show. Plus, I thought Steve was going to have aging issues.

Tony. Tony Tony Tony. I love that he adapted his gauntlet to be able to take the stones. You know he must have thought of that during his 22 days in space-how could he have gotten the stones from Thanos quicker. Tony’s super power is definitely adaptability. If only he had the time to figure out how to siphon the radiation from the stones. Too bad Danvers couldn’t have helped out in that moment. I wanted Tony to have his life.

Chris Hemsworth blew my mind. He was really messed up. And it was completely understandable. His conversation with Frigga broke my heart again (that happened a lot in this movie). I’m surprised he never asked for his shipmates, Loki or Heimdall to be saved in the snap. We saw more Asgardians right?

Truthfully, the one thing I didn't like was Banner/Hulk. No thanks, I liked the dueling personalities. Plus, does that mean the monster us gone? Because I liked him, especially at Raganok. Bummer.

Loved all the other moments. It makes me sad that Strange knew Tony was going to die. He saved him from Thanos the first time to have him bested by the Stones, but saving everyone else. Loved Nebula. Sad Gamora we knew is forever lost to the Stone.

I loved Scarlet Witch taking on Thanos. She too, like Widow, has shown tremendous growth. Too bad Danvers hadn’t gotten there a moment earlier. Scarlett Witch and Captain Marvel would have taken down Thanos together-no question.

Speaking of Captain Marvel, they definitely used her just the right amount. This was definitely the Original Avengers’ story, but I still loved the moments we got of her. Loved the haircut, loved “Hi Peter Parker.”

I’m sad. I can’t believe this is the end. Truthfully, I would have been 100% fine with the original Avengers riding off into the sunset-alive-together. Whatever it takes was just a little too much.

    I read this article

    https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2019/04/the-magicians-quentin-death-eliot-queliot-bury-your-gays-sera-gamble-interview

And I'm having a moment of "$#^@ this show, seriously"

They filmed a scene where Quentin's death was reversed.  Put Jason under a gag order and didn't tell the cast until Monday. $#^@ them, seriously.

PS.  And now I watch the episode again and understand why the cast doing blurbs after the episode about not knowing what was happening next was so banally upbeat and out of place with what had just happened in the episode.  They had no idea.  I'm doubly annoyed now.

This. This times 100000000. It makes me furious that they lies to the cast like this. I am so annoyed. I feel baited and I am disappointed. I thought Magicians was better than a big death to “mix things up.” I love Quentin.

That said, I wish we could have been flies on the wall when the cast all found out. I want to know if they wished they had made different acting choices with their characters, advocates for something different knowing it was the end of the show as we had known it with Quentin.

  14. I finally watched it-and bummed about how it ended. I love that Quentin got his hero moment, especially mending something small but...I feel really tricked and baited. I am really mad.

I might be on my own with this, but with this finale, I suddenly feel like this entire season was filler. Quentin was miserable all season. We see the start of possibly a fun and frankly fresh couple with Q and Eliot. Julia repeats her story-choices being made for her. Penny doesnt really grow. Kadi and Margo see some growth, but let’s be honest, they’ve both always have been badasses. Josh and Margo are a surprise. Fen is Queen of Fillory.

They spend the entire freakin’ season apart. And don’t even get a moment at the end to be together. Ugh. And I am mad about the Eliot and Quentin tease. It’s almost emotional entrapment. They got me good with it and it crushes me even more that Q never knows what Eliot’s biggest regret is. And then they freakin have Quentin and Alice repeat?

Last season makes me mad now too. They’ve known since Season Three they wanted to kill Quentin?? Because now Eliot and Quentin’s lifetime in Fillory feels tainted too. “Here we know they’ll never have this lifetime so we’ll have it be part of the Quest.” I hope Eliot tells everyone that he and Quentin had a son and a lifetime together. I want that to be a scene we see and not hear about.

They should have pitched this episode to be two hours. Maybe then it wouldn’t have seemed to be over in a flash-it really seemed rushed just to get to that ending. And I think killing Quentin is a monstrous mistake. I think I’m going to have to read about the first couple of episodes for next season before watching them. I’ve never wanted something more than this to be a bait and switch.

Get the hell out of the thread.  Anyone on another coast or watching delayed should get the hell out of the thread.

Thanks for the warning-guess I’m setting my alarm early. Kills me that Prime doesnt drop the episode until 2am my time. Hugs to all of you!

  16. Our Lady Underground is Persephone isnt she? Because if Hades doesnt get involved because of her “death,” I’m going to be real disappointed. Or Demeter. The writers have a golden opportunity to use the phrase “There will be Hell to pay,” I hope they get to use it.

Called Julia being body snatched. They should have been more discrete about her when MonsterEliot was around.

I’m frustrated with the backslide of Quentin and Alice’s relationship. I think they’re real toxic for each other. Does Alice even know about Quentin’s lifetime with Eliot?

I can’t wait to watch tonight’s episode tomorrow. I don’t know if I’m going to have the fortitude to be spoiler-free.

  17. I’m so happy they didn’t kill of Chim. I was super concerned that he was going to not make it for a hot minute. At the end with the nurse, I thought we were going to get a “Denny” moment and he’d pass away from something like a blood clot. Sidebar, this is the first episode where to me, it actually sounded like they were saying “Chimney” and not “Chimmy.”

I will also admit, I thought they might kill off Maddie to have Buck “go dark.” I’m never a fan of killing a character to spiral another, so I was pleased they didn’t. And it’s about time someone finally said “You don’t know Buck.” Lol-I’ve been waiting for that line for awhile now.

I loved all the Athena/Buck moments. I hope they keep throwing those together on calls, they have good friendship chemistry. I laughed at the ground rules for Buck-someone needed to lay it out there for him.

  18. So Elizabeth Henstridge posted that pic a couple days ago on Instagram and said she said there are so many Easter Eggs in that picture, she can’t wait for people to see the season.

From staring at it on her account, Mack definitely has Fury’s cube. Not surprising considering he’s in charge. They’re at a gambling table, and it looks like Fitz is keeping Daisy from making a gamble herself. Everyone is wearing black except Fitz. Couslson’s not st the table-also not surprising considering he’s “dead.” And either Jemma or Deke are making a haul at the table.

So, I wonder what the Easter Eggs are.

  19. Well, the songs in this episode dont beat last season’s Under Pressure but I love Margo, so I still loved the episode. I think I liked it so much because I feel like our characters’ storylines are finally converging and we’re seeing more than three of everyone together at once. I love when everyone is working towards a common goal, so I’m looking forward to these next couple of episodes.

Margo is such a King. She might not keep her crown but I’m super pumped she’s still kicking ass and taking names. She is so incredibly loyal, I love it. I liked the people who appeared as she was tripping lizard. Its fun to see how Margo views the others.

I loved the tent scene with Margo and Eliot. I know the rest was Lizard Eliot, but in that moment, I really felt that it was our Eliot with Margo. Especially when he was looking out of sorts as Margo melted down-having her Hulk moment (that she’s already angry).

I can’t wait for everyone to be back together. We’re so close-we had Quentin, Penny23, Kady, Alice, and Julia together at the loft at the end. Margo and Eliot are on their own, and Josh and Fen are holding down Fillory. Margo with her demon axes are going to be beelining it to Quentin. I can’t wait until next week!!

  20. I just assumed the posters were an even amount so people could make a Thanos  joke of the posters being “perfectly balanced.” That’s why we’re missing characters like Maria Hill or Nakia.

I’m bummed about Shuri but pumped about Valkyrie surviving. Also, is it weird Val’s name is Valkryrie?

I hope she comes in and saves someone like the big damn hero she is-preferably Thor or Banner. Also see Carol’s poster looks  more like the Carol we saw in Captain Marvel instead of the trailer.

  21. I saw it the other way, I was panicking bc I thought we were seeing Chim’s life flashing before his eyes-at least the part of his life he loved the most. Chim and Hen are my favorite characters so I was excited to see their origin stories, but let’s talk about preview fakeout. Kinda disappointed we didn’t actually see Buck find him. I kept watching the clock expecting him to be walking up to Maddie’s (for some reason. Didnt he know about the date? Why would he be over there?)

Loved the hospital part, where Chim is flashing between his past and what was happening to him in real time. The blood in his face, dripping off his hand, I just loved it. Love Kenneth Choi-he owned this episode.

    I’m concerned about the preview:

    Spoiler

Buck said “He could kill again.” AGAIN?! Why did he say again? Chim is my favorite he better not be dead.

Hmmm...I'd have to go back and rewatch everything, but I kind of feel as though he does, or at least could if he was paying attention. But he is a pretty self-absorbed monster. I suppose that's a bit redundant by definition.

I kinda love that this coming episode has so many posts in the thread already despite not yet having aired!

I guess it depends on what the monster knows-doesn’t it have access to Eliot’s memories? So really, do we know if Eliot knew everything about Julia? I guess too that

    Spoiler

The sister could also not need a female body. Literally, anyone could be in danger of being body snatched! I’m just assuming since the EliotMonster keeps Q around, that maybe by snatching Julia, the writers will have really have a really screwed up Q.

I’m just trying to follow all the threads. They did such a great job last season, I have faith everything is going to come back together.
